  1. Stop hijacking my hijacking of your thread!
  2. Maim children?! Alright! That's a done deal, then! :D That's okay, it'll just re-inforce my already low estimations then ...
  3. Ha! Not without checking the testimonials of acctual players in the printed media (PC mags) and on fora like this. I will not be pre-ordering, like the first two KotORs. I will watch and wait. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
  4. one of the problems with these games from a story point of view, IMO, is that you used to be a Jedi. I agree that starting off as a Sith recruit would allow for more possibilities. you get a dialogue trigger within the first hour about your view on Jedi and Sith and you have the ability to leave the Sith academy on someone's ship, etc. I suspect most people will do that but those that want to stay DS and actually pursue the Sith/DS path can do so.....what if you want to play DS and be anti-Republic and cooperate with the Sith? Right now, the DS guy really only has one viable path -- to be the reluctant ANTI-HERO and defeat the Sith. There needs to be an actual pro-Sith DS path in addition to the pro-Republic LS path, absolutely. And, if you want to go the DS path, you should not be chasing after Jedi mentors for training....you have Sith mentors for that. Faction membership in general needs to be implemented alot more, IMO. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ah, but the downside is you will have alienated a lot of the potential audience. E.g. check out all the posters in the KotOR 2:TSL General forum who can't play DS (<{POST_SNAPBACK}>). If you give them a character that is a (fully cognizant) Sith apprentice, then they just won't identify with them and there goes your immersion and suspension of disbelief. It seems that it is better to have a small number of well-researched and documented characters, with varying backgrounds, then one main character.
  5. I never understood which part of the strip search ended up with the underwear on the person's head ... "
  6. PacMan Perfect Score Hey, my high score is about 350,000 on Donkey Kong, so I might start practising for the tournament! :D
  7. I still like Pong. And the original Space Invaders is kewl. (w00t) Bom-Bom-Bom-Bom, Bom-Bom-Bom-Bom, wee-plink, wee-plink. Bom-Bom-Bom-Bom ... That sound track actually starts to set your heartbeat ... you end up with a racing pulse by the time you finish. Brilliant.
  8. This sort of topic should be in the SPOILERS forum. <_< Oh, look! A seach function! Now you can find the other forty-nine threads about this in the Spoilers forum!
  9. Look at the very bottom of the article and it says that it was posted in august of last year. Here is a quote for all of you who may doubt me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Talk about a slow news day. So, if you were Peter Hirschmann (vice president of product development -- a two-year LucasArts vet and former Electronic Arts producer), who would you want to make KotOR3? Now, as a fanboy, what developer would you want to make K3 ?
  10. Sounds like a good candidate for internet relay (and email). I don't like it when the DM sits there rolling countless dice throws and totalling them up in some abstruce way ... always means something bad is gunna happen. And the DM should have asked us a crucial question at some juncture that was glossed over, so we can all argue about how the fatal ending never happened on a technicality. (LA friend lost a ranger to a doppleganger that way, donchaknow.) I've never played CoC, I know a little about it (although I ain't read the book, neither), because a friend at uni was always bragging about how we'd play a game and my character would die of insanity pains to the head in seconds. I could never work out if he was serious or not -- certainly couldn't understand what the point was to play a game only to die quickly ...
  11. I guess an idea of when the next version will be ready, and any tantalising tidbits from part 2 ... (And get your DM client server fixed. )
  12. That was my bolding.
  13. Do you mean I will think less of more recent games, or it will spoil my appreciation for the Fallout series?
  14. Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. Arthur C. Clarke, "Profiles of The Future", 1961 (Clarke's third law) English physicist & science fiction author (1917 - )
  15. I guess it could have been something else. Silk paintings are kinda sorta not the most detailed art medium ever, at least not the old ones. It probably could have been a recreation too. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh, you sounded so definite. Okay, well, they do tend to eat just about anything (and the weirder it is the more of a "delicacy" it is ...) Maybe it was a century egg ?
  16. Is Fallout 1 worth playing, if I haven't played any of them ?
  17. Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics
  18. Why wouldn't it work? I've got DirectX9.0c and this requires DirectX6.0 !
  19. Why? One of the major complaints about NWN was the SP campaign. If they're planning on making that one of NWN2's strengths, I'm not seeing what the problem is. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, it's not clear from the abstract whether the differences between the NwN2 SP campaign and the NwN OC "won
  20. Now System Shock 2 sounds like my kind of game. Excellent: I like a game where the atmosphere is more important than the graphics (good ol' Deus Ex was a y2k game.) I haven't played SS2, so I will definitely be buying now. This is a great idea! Any more reviews?
  21. So no-one has bought a Citro
  22. Four legs good, Two legs bad.
