I would like to nominate Tetris. It is a rare thing indeed that infiltrates the subconscious so totally and so seductively insidiously and delectably. I actually enjoyed the dreams about Tetris, as I played in my sleep, trying to beat my own brain at this very addictive game. If you haven't played it, it is a very simple premise. There are five different block shapes, made out of a grid of four blocks. End-to-end; three blocks long-sided in a left-handed and right-handed L shape; in two rows of two, and a one-sided T shape one block wide and three blocks long with a cross section of two blocks. The game consists of fitting the blocks into the width of the screen, as they drop from the top -- at which time the entire block disapears. Speed increases as the game proceeds. (Obviously the closer to the top the less reaction time you have, and the more you mess up a row the higher your complete row will be.)

I'll see your 10 and raise ya 25. :*:*:* -
Nah, speed it all the way. I like to roleplay a monk because they get Monk Speed at third level, every three levels they gain another 10% haste. Add some boots of speed, when they turn up, and I'm zipping around the game map in fifth gear! (The half-damage feat is a nifty bonus; avoid traps or take half damage...) You can actually run into and out of the battle (especially with the Dodge feat tree, minimizing and eventually avoiding attacks of opportunity). Speed also grants a bonus to the character's DC.

It was a contest between She-Hulk and Lady-D when I went there ... She-Hulk is kinda cute, and she has green eyes ... but what's with the cut-off gloves? Boy, I remember when She-Hulk was a new character ... mid 70s ... *wistful stare into the distance* -
Kotor 3: Ideas and Suggestions
metadigital replied to Fionavar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
It's a great idea; a cracker!; trouble is, I am led to believe, that LA don't like uncontrolled content based on their IP. It is they who have not allowed modding tools previously (the KotOR engine is practically the same engine as NwN, after all). Is it paranoia? Anally-retentive control-freakery? Alien-abduction? Something else? Who knows? Good idea, though. -
... Because yours is obviously full and satisfying ...

For future reference, it is generally the topmost-leftmost key on keyboards, I've found; that's where the ~ key is on the US, and on a British keyboard it is the

Yep, that's great. Why did you feel the need to write a diary for the game? Wsa it your first "epic", so it was an effort to be organised; or perhaps you used to do it frequently and have since stopped? I have heard of people keeping reading diaries. Basically taking notes of all the books one reads: the ultimate contextual reference and personal index!

... Or any character from Little Britain. I can also recommend The Outsider, by Albert Camus. Short, punchy philosophy; very readable, at any level: he was the better novelist and Sartre was the better philosopher.

Could you give me the author of the book? I am rereading the Count of Monte Cristo and just realized that it is a very religious book. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Prophet, by Kahlil Gibran, ISBN 1-85891-389-6, published by Studio Editions.

Depends on which incarnation of the companies. I've got games from the mid eighties with Activision labels on them <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So where did Activision come from then? Was that the company that the star devs from Atari set up?

It's the uncultured US population, again. They have no idea who Vampi is ... and Elektra has just recently released a film (and I seem to recall she had some previous experience in the media industry ...) -

Right. What I mean is: It is in the best interest of the sovereign to keep the people well and moderately contented (or at least not so malcontented that they would risk death through insurrection rather than lead their current lives). So, life under a "selfish" tyrant (which is just a word meaning single autonomous rule) might be less nasty than under a "nice guy". It is in the interests of the leader to keep the society ticking over. No-one wants to be Pol Pot.

Of course; the first Force Power I select on Peragus II, and it's on continually from there (Force Points permitting, in the beginning). There is a bug on Dantooine, in the underlevel; after the Force Speed expires, the visuals don't change (the outlook stays blurry). This is only slightly compensated by the fact that the power lasts for about ten minutes, rather than thirty seconds ...

You are "he", yet in your sig is a quote that would imply you are a woman."-1 STR/+1 CHA" I had that on my MSN name a couple days ago. That's from a girl's shirt you can buy online. (And which I will likely be acquiring over the next little while.) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What on earth are you on about, woman? This is the 21th century, after all. Ever heard of Prestige Class: Geek? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> +1 Cha for a geek? That would be a class bonus for other geeks, no doubt; you'd have to add -5 class penalty to jocks, too ...

I am He who watches the forums. I am He who never sleeps. I am the Beginning and the End. I am the last thing you'll see before logging off from these forums and doing something sensible instead of squatting it away online like some other hapless loser. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Mine is the last voice you will ever hear. Don't be alarmed.
