Arduin-Grimoire an Interesting License?
If I think Troika are a bunch of long-haired fruitcakes with skunkweed in the glove compartment, does that count as a conspiracy theory? Man, you moderators. Anything for a giggle. Donkeys, lingerie, umbrellas and all that! Hang on -- I know a donkey's waiting for my special kiss. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, that would come under RPG companies holding or folding "based on the quality of their games." Which, as a general rule, is bunkum. (Unless you think there is some ulterior cause, some hidden agenda ... a conspiracy.) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I'm pretty sure that's a misquote. The Ring, being a thing of pure evil that it is, would have not chosen Frodo unless it was sure it could use him. "There are other forces at work in this world Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you were also meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought. " from the movie. I'll agree that Frodo was a chosen. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, that was the one I was trying to quote from memory.

Isn't that like the structure of an MMORPG? And still, a game with no included storyline would need to have something else that apeals to the person to get them to want to play. The game would probably heavily rely on the setting then, and that might be tough to do, getting a setting that would attract enough people to buy a game with no storyline. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> As long as it would entail a lot of grinding, it sounds like a winnar!

The Legend of Lylox: The Sword of Infinite
I'd vote for A, if it was a sorcerer or a warlock and not a magic user.

Just a minor tangential point of order: "... The ring chose you, and that is a very comforting thought." Gandalf the Grey, LotR. Frodo was chosen.

The Escapist: The Rise and Fall of Troika
Listen, despite what the moaning fora might lead you to believe, NwN2 is not going to be a negative game in any way or form. It'll be a shining, glowing endorsement of their talents, building on the excellent word-of-mouth runaway success of Bioware's original. KotOR:TSL, likewise, isn't going to even be remembered except as part of the whole KotOR-cυm-Star Wars (gaming) phenomenon. Even now, the most vociferous of forumites would be pleased to play through it again, I'm sure.

I confess I haven't read it, yet. But it's pretty blatant in it's content, and I have a friend whose parents bought it as a living room table dressing (a topical statement for all good middle class couples to show they are in touch with the political zeitgeist of the time, which we all know now that the Germans were treated improperly after WW1).- UK Government Study: Freedom for Robots?
The military is an excellent motivator; the US armed forces' adoption of equal opportunity during WW2, based on the sheer superior utility of it, helped introduce the notion to the civilian population, for example. As the planet's fauna have developed their intellect, including such facets as emotions for example, then it is reasonable to assume that artificial intelligence will develop in a similar fashion (if not identically).- A New PC

Wow, they were that tough that it took THREE BULLETS to kill each one?- Homeworld
Well, Homeworld was the one I found the controls so awkward as to make the game unplayable. Relic released the source code to Homeworld in late 2003, which allowed unofficial ports of the game to other platforms, such as Linux and Mac OS X. So I must be confused about X2 ... was ist das?- UK Government Study: Freedom for Robots?

That's a rather simple outlook. There were indeed anti-Semites that were able to recreate Jesus as a fighter against the Jews, in what is called Positive Christianity. This particular Christian outlook is what the Nazi Party sought to impose in Germany. It is a myth that Nazi Germany was anti-Christian. They just had a different perspective on the religion, and like had been experienced in the past, someone was trying to use religion to influence the people. They used it to fuel anti-Semitism. The whole persecution of the Jews was religiously motivated. Your statement also overlooks the rather obvious fact that Hitler was exceptionally charismatic and very persuasive. I doubt reading the Bible would have made a significant difference, because they probably were reading it. Or at least some form of it. The statement is also shakey because in the predominantly Christian South, Blacks were persecuted. There's the idea that Hitler used this as an example of how he can persecute the jews. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think he might be referring to Mein Kampf, which was a best-seller in Germany before Hitler was released from prison, but - Congressman wants to use the Qur'an when sworn in
