  1. Words cannot express the awesomeness of hot-blooded nerd rage I am experiencing now. Hahaha at "I <3 pikmin"
  2. Sega needs to build connections with popular online blogs like Kotaku, or the folks at Penny Arcade for minimum cost of marketing IMO.
  3. So yah. What kind of chicks you folks want to bag? Surely we have an international and racial choice afterall, being a CIA agent saving the world. Asian? Hispanic? White? Black? Fat? Or. Can we play as a CIA pimp to bag the ugly but filthy rich ladies to upgrade our spy gears and for additional pocket money? Can we dress them like barbies as we could to our girl in Bloodlines too? <3 <3 <3
  4. Beretta 9mm. Dual wield. John Woo style. Winnah.
  5. I think its 2 and a half project. But Pop's assumption could be right, in that there may not be a third project at the meantime.
  6. And what does "Controls similar to Bioshock in selecting weapons and power" equates to? We know there will be weapons, but what 'powers' will our Agent be capable of selecting and executing in A.P's term?
  7. o.o; Any translated version for dummies? = A facial generator is not difficult to make by itself. The difficulty lies in how it will work in the game, collusion detection and such. As an example, imagine someone designing a head with the size of 2m radius. How will that interact with the environment? How will the character to be able to get through doors? Also, how will the facial animations be compatible with a head of that kind of dimensions? etc, etc... Dankee As for the inventory system, would be cool if they do it differently than constant relying on paperdolls from old school RPGs. Maybe an inventory system along the lines of Resident Evil 4 (Briefcase) or the newest Alone in the Dark (Top down inventory system) or even both.
  8. o.o; Any translated version for dummies?
  9. I am certain Todd Howard will be so happy to agree with your statement. I believe Obsidian opted to weave a tighter and focused story that is in the veins of Deus Ex. You can say it is inferior to ME or Neverwinter Nights series in the area of character creation, but in the end its the core of the gameplay that judges the game as a whole as an RPG. So you can't say its an inferior RPG when you have yet to play the game and simply basing and judging on its creation aspects. Oblivion has great character creation, but meh, look at the core gameplay.
  10. We can't get hairy butts in Mass Effect?
  11. Why can't we RP as a black? A Hispanic? An Asian? What about fat ugly women? Why must they always be so unrealistically sexy? Where iz the role play!?!111?!? Geez.
  12. The last title by Obsidian is anything but unfinished and to a degree, severely bug ridden. Its called Mask of the Betrayer.
  13. HP regen sounds ideal for modern RPG standards if executed right. Perhaps allowing damage to affect a PC's attributes depending where he is shot at (The change of attributes is dependent on the severity of injury in the respective locations. Arm injury means lowers accuracy and melee damage, leg injury would result in crippled state that disallows the PC to run, head injury would cause vision distortion and slower actions, torso injury would reduce fatigue level.) until treated in safety. Your character won't die that easily as his HP regenerates, but if the player does not treat the PC's wounds that affects his attributes, arm injury for example, the odds is against the player to a degree in any combat situation. Even far more if the PC's injuries are compounded with a severe leg injury and such. This system though might affect the flow of the game to a degree, but it could very well make use of some RPG elements available to play its significance.
  14. A little tricky to make a believale real world RPG to be honest. For example, magical potions that instantly recovers character's HP is acceptable in fantasy game. Doing the same with medikits in a modern world RPG seems to be out of place to be honest. Hopefully they have a gameplay system specifically suitable for modern world RPG. Using Jagged Alliance 2's health system seems to be more appropriate. Just my personal opinion though.
  15. With all the Mass Effect referencing in executing the gameplay, its awekward to know and see that Obsidian will forever doomed to be Bioware's little brother.
  16. i da winnah!!!11 Me da l337sauce!!11 Seriously, I'm as uncertain as Volourn due to the contridicting info provided by the op. SP or MMO? Console exclusive or is there PC version? Bah. I WIN!!11!
  17. Two questions I need to know the answers: 1. MMO or Single player game? 2. Will there be PC version too? If it is neither SP, nor a PC version, I can't inflate myself with excitement. :\
  18. Last I heard, Atari's financial status is in abyssmal state. I am uncertain if there are any improvements since then. It could be a factor we all have to be prepared for one suppose.
  19. According to Anthony, most of the team from MotB had been shifted to the Aliens project.
  20. Thats right. To be honest, I was hoping for consistency in terms of quality expansion product that is to be churned out by familiar team. Right now, its understandable if everyone carries heavy uncertainties once more to the team making to NXP2(If Obsidian is making one?) as we all had when NXP1 was in development. Though I really want to be surprised by the quality again just like the team behind NXP1 managed to pull off.
  21. To be honest, the prospect of NXP2 seems to be pretty much in state of uncertainty. Most of the key people(Well, a handful anyway since I only know some prominent names) involved in NXP1 had already been shifted to other projects. -MCA is now the lead designer for PG -Anthony Davis shifted to the Aliens project I recalled. -Georgie is no longer in Obsidian -Alexander Brandon l recalled should be busy with Aliens project now. So that pretty much leaves Kevin Saunders as well as we expecting a slew of unfamiliar new names to take up prominent role as Creative Lead ect.
  22. On the latest news that relates to Georgie from the RPG Codex: http://www.rpgcodex.net/phpBB/viewtopic.ph...asc&start=0 There goes my dream of NXP2 featuring the dynamic Kevin-George power combo :'( I wish you well George, wherever you are now. Thanks for MotB!
  23. Looks real enough. Yuuuuuuummmmmmm. Now, Obsidian, you don't want to be the 'late' other half are you? Say it after us: "SHOW ME THE MONEY!"
  24. GET IT. GET IT. GET IT. Its a film that once you pop, you can't stop. And its got 112 episodes of epic sci-fi war drama.
