  1. Oh, THAT battle. At first I thought it was a bug that caused the hag to disappear and one of my companion to start attacking me! Eventually I realised what was happening. I blame dumbdowned Aree-Pee-Gees lately for not making me think enough.
  2. Actually, there's some flirting with Safiya moments during one of the conversation. Regardless I do agree it would do well fleshing out more in a subtle manner(Preferbly in gestures and expression with minimal words) for Safiya's feelings towards the main PC gradually until the confession. I thought the Handmaiden in KOTOR2 does it very well.
  3. BF 2 is simply Quake 3 in disguise. Furthermore it has the most unbalanced classes unlike BF2142, which IMO, is quite balanced.
  4. I got the machinima definition wrong
  5. Yep, its machinima for all of the models except for Tifa I believe. Another personal favourite work of his is 'Icarus' which he submitted for the John Woo competition. Its over the top action gun fight but... wow... I wished Matrix was like that. http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/74358.html
  6. You can change Kaelyn's ending. Before the battle at the Kelemvor city starts, choose to assist Rammaq in acquiring his tome. I won't spoil you what must be done during your quest, but you do have the chance to change Kaelyn's ending into a happier note. Is it just me who thinks that romancing with Safiya will only result in another circle of doomed romance? She worships no deity(Check her character sheet) and I suspect if she dies, a dedicated and devoted PC would simply become another Akachi.
  7. In the dialogue, there is an option for you to choose or something along the lines. I can't remember. My assumption is that
  8. Shocking... VD actually gushed, drooled and finally falls flat into a spasm over MotB. Raving review from the Codex coming soon. http://www.rpgcodex.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=20857
  9. Played the UT3 demo, for some reason I am unable to be immersed in the game as TF2 had done for me. Sure it has prettier graphics and lots of bloom but I can't help but feel it can't immerse me as UT2004 did. I'm not sure why. Maybe it feels 'souless'? Ugh, I can't point out the feeling.
  10. Yep. Self-taught from what I read of his bio. You could check out his other works which also shows his over the top action scenes also. Regardless, he is quite talented though it will do well if he seeks experienced guidance to further refine his techniques. http://montyoum.gametrailers.com/gamepad/index.php

  12. *Dead silence*
  13. I recall EA only joins together with Valve in matters of retail distribution, replacing Vivendi. Oh, Blizzard can never be bought by EA, since its already acquired and now part of, Vivendi's division.
  14. When that happends, Valve and ID software are the only resistances we have left.
  15. A quote from Bioware forum. I'm not sure of the reliability of the information though.
  16. I rather SEGA buyout Obsidian first than EA ever. Considering how SEGA had been treating the Total War franchise, I think we can safely assume that if Obsidian is to be bought over, it should be in a respectable hands for now.
  17. Team Fortress 2 lovers and the curious, check this machinima out. Its WOW, at least for me. Would be nice if the NWN2 engine could make a good Machinima
  18. For some reason, DoW felt over-milked to me after the announcement of ANOTHER expansion. I thought the time would be ripe to make a proper sequel to DoW instead of add-on to what it seems, an inferior engine compared to CoH.
  19. A reminder to all TF2 nubs: http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2007/09/21
  20. Amen, keep the influence system. Indeed it started off sketchy somewhat, but it seems Obsidian managed to refine to the point which Starwars mentioned, comfortable. MotB especially so. The influence system though as we know, is not something new Obsidian had been using. The first RPG I played that involves a degree of influence system would be the Star Ocean series. I really hope Obsidian takes some good pointers from the JRPG game I mentioned to further improve and refine the system.
  21. MotB getting an 8.0 from Gamespot. Main issues being that the Spirit Eater System is meant for hard-cores and camera problem. I don't exactly agree with the numeric score however, as I think it deserves a 8.5 instead. *Shrugs* A pity that gameplays like Bioshock (Which you can never die and seriously dumbed down) gets high scores lately.
  22. Strange, talking to the girl will give me the option to 'enter into dreamworld'. Though it seems from the feedback in the forum, you're not the only one suffering from this bug. Hopefully Obs will fix it.
  23. Team Fortress 2!!!! I finally mastered the rocket jump! Yipee!
  24. Freedom! Freedom for Obsidian! On the day you become mighty and heroic strong, reputation known far and wide across the planes, I remind you to never give in to the corruption taint known as EA, Ubisoft and Activision they! *Hangs voodoo dolls representing Fergie, MCA and co. with a sharp pointy stick in a hand's reach*
  25. Isn't this the last licence they have left to license a WH40K game?(5 games they are allowed to make I think, 4 DoW games and one WH40K MOO game) If that is so... Its disappointing.
