I bought most of the slaves. Set some free (leaving them to fend for themselves), sent some to my camp as demon fodder (I expected a fight to come up) and sent some to die in the arena to buy myself some demon goodwill 😇 Yes, playing chaotic to the max... Halfway through second round of treasure islands. I hope it wont wrap around and present me with a third set of islands, as it is getting a bit samey by now. Main difference being enemies being bigger and ready to jump you immediately when you open a door 😔 Best treasure so far I would say was the gadget for Tricksters (ironically after I buried trickster and went legend)

Considering that the number of fires, forest and bush fires in particular, but fires in general seems to have sky rocketed world wide the last decade, it would be weird if Russia didn't have more fires than usual (edit: They could just have been under reported in the past, because it didn't look good officially). Most of the world (I think, subjectively) blames it on global warming. Except Murdoch Media who blames it on sabotage, an international conspiracy to hurt the fossil fuel industry

Got back to watching Tensura Nikki (my favourite slime protagonist) again. First 3 episodes of season 2 is about world building (not metaphysical, but philosophically). Rimuru's new nation is establishing diplomatic connections and trade agreements with neighbouring countries around 'The Great Forest Nation of Tempest'. Too many things to list in bullet point form, suffice to say it was as funny as I remembered it. The king of the Dwarves review (in private, after the ceremony) of Rimuru's public speech to the Dwarven nation had me in stitches. It was absolutely scathing 😂 Also, looks like a movie is coming out next year...

Of course... now that I've abandoned the trickster path and gone all legend, I find the broken trickster 😝 I've probably been playing too much Guild Wars 2 the last few years, so I'm so used to level scaling, it comes as a slight system shock when it doesn't happen. I found the opposition worth buffing and preparing for on the first few islands in act iii. Sort of got out of habit doing that when doing the next islands in act iv. In act v... it was mostly just a sight seeing trip, with no need to rest between the last few islands. Remember sun block... Still something to do I suppose, as it's still in my journal. I guess I better go back and talk to the helmsman. Edit: Ahahh... when you reach the last Island it sort of repeats. The overland map of the islands look similar, but the local maps (at least for island i, second round) is different. Looks more like a map from a Wasteland or a Fallout game 🤔

In that case, we can rule Solitaire out. It's one of the most soul crushing, frustrating games where you just want to punch your fist through the wall at times 😖

Other peoples mileage may vary, but in my game, Ywrag the Defiant is back in the last room on treasure island nine... yes, same game where I put that quest on hold after I cleared out everything else on the first nine islands, sans the last boss on island nine, who was a no-show. No need to repeat the grind to get there, I could pick up progress where I had left it.

That was a lot to learn about nothing 😂 It was very good though. Not sure I would ask for nothing for my birthday, as that would put an unduly amount of stress on my friends 😁

Just got a warning SMS an hour ago from the city council. Basically buckle down and fasten everything. Heavy thunderstorms and up to 150mm of rain between now and tomorrow. Way to spend a weekend 😝 It's probably a good thing I got my UPS fixed up and attached again.

Yeah, my post was mostly me with a raised eyebrow at the media coverage China got in this situation compared to the real impact of their contribution. Not that it isn't a lot of money, but it is still a small amount (compared to other donors, including pre-Trump USA) relative to the amount of noise generated. I suspect the quoted part is the real reason behind the sense of China throwing around their weight a bit. Sometimes you (WHO) just nod, smile and get on with your work somewhere, while quietly rolling your eyes.

To be fair, I only knew Sasha Grey because I actually googled her (note for self, do not do that during work hours), after the name came up in a Nanowar of Steel song (Valhalleluja) where she got compared unfavourably to Knisa Light Grey. The whole thing was so bizarre I had to look up both names 😂 I did remember Jennifer Hale and David Warner from Baldurs Gate 2 though as the more memorable voices (probably the only two VA names I remember without prodding). Isn't there a subtle difference between being a state that is a "sponsor of terrorism" (e.g. Saudi Arabia funding Al Qaeda) and a state that is a "terrorist state" in itself (like Russia, putting the smack down on its neighbours because they smell funny)? Edit: I suppose you could lump Saudi Arabia in both categories, as they seem to gleefully carpet bomb civilians in Yemen. Estimated casualties in Ukraine 7000, Yemen 350000. Of course the latter has neither natural gas nor wheat crops, so it's not "important" enough to worry about.
