  1. From the FAQ: Q. I am at the Telos Academy. Instead of being locked up my teammates stand behind me and they talk about a Cheat Node A. This following issue has been caused by the 1.0B patch. There are 3 known solutions to fix this issue 1. Re-install Kotor2 without 1.0B 2. When entering the Academy, first ask who they are. Dropping your weapons immediately actually causes this bug to happen. 3. Thanks to Darth333 for this 3rd option. This one can come in handy if you haven't got a savegame from before the Academy, or that one is too far away from your current position The solution requires to set the global variable 262TEL_Atton_Talk" to 1 with KSE. The latest version of KSE is available here: (people who have the non-english version of windows have to download KSEa instead of KSE). It's very easy to do and it takes no more than one minute. Here's a screenie of what it looks like With the TSLRP mod soon to be released, the old fix for this has been removed from their website because it would conflict with the finished mod. When the mod is completed and released, it will fix this error. --- Note that the TSLRP referred to in 3. no longer exists. Time hasn't treated anyone gently.
  2. Dialing the number for Skatteverket... My very noisy and constantly crashing ATI card is getting on my nerves. I seriously considered the EVGA GTX580 1536MB FTW 015-P3-1589-KR Hydro Copper 2 for a while. That is, until I discovered that Swifttech makes the water cooling block it comes with. Then I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.
  3. Thread pruned. Some links are more unwelcome than others
  4. Sorry B&B and begging a few coins "for the bus" regularly is all I can think of there.
  5. You should learn to play the guitar with me. It is probably cheaper, and chicks dig musicians. Not so much for the painting plastic men. Have to agree here; especially if you're over the age of 18. Whats wrong with collecting and painting miniatures?... It doesn't exactly do anything for you, I mean sure, you can have fun with it...but there are plenty of hobbies that are more worthwhile. Meh, I enjoy hanging out with some of the other wargamers, dicussing painting techniques and have a few games (and beers). People can keep their MMO's

  7. While you were down in your tunnels, the world changed. Why do think such things as twitter and facebook are successful? It has all become a substitute for interacting with "real" people
  8. "I do think a preliminary stoning would be warranted, just to get them to the repentant stage."
  9. Seems like people have run out of leaks to argue about. Lets start a new chapter when they leak something "noteworthy"

    Korea

My point is WWII was a war of conquest, motivated by ideology, started by countries who thought they could win such a war. Modern wars are wars of economy and market shares. NK will be 'neutralised' if bottomlines threatens to go into the red. Other countries will need to see a tangible benefit in joining, since ideology rarely moves anything these days. Hence the lack of a WW3 with a lot of participants. Yeah, but if you're mentioning Finland in that context, but not Russia, I think you need to go back and check out the Winter War and the Molotov-Ribbentrop agreement. Yeah, I know. Molotov even got a drink named after him But in the end history is written by the victors and Finland did fight against The Soviet Union. Relations between Mannerheim and Stalin (old white army/red army grudges) would have been strained even without the border skirmishes taking place after WWI.

Why are people talking about North Korea like they are lead by rational people? Frankly I'm expecting the North Korean Old Guard to go "Well chaps, we're getting old. This is boring, we'll die soon. Wouldn't it suck to die without leaving a legacy? Those ****ing Americans and their South Korean dogs, let's give them something to remember." And boom, World War 3! Does it qualify as World War 3 if it's just the world against one country? Yeah, methinks he is giving NK too much credit there. Iran is probably the closest thing they come to a country with "shared interests" and I doubt they would stand up for them if the bullets start flying. China who kept NK alive in the first conflict has lost interest and desire economic stability and profit more than any outdated concepts of world communism.
  14. I'm probably a minority, but I found Zevran, Dog and Sten to be the most interesting personalities in DA:O. @Cant: It's that thing, internal consistency or whatever it's called. If it makes sense in the context of the game world, it can get away with a lot
  15. So many Ptolemeans can't be wrong... Caligula too claims that some things best stays in the family. I prefer my party members medium rare and semi controllable. Like a team you lead, not like a single player with 5 times the hitpoints, every available skill and 10 weapon/staff/wand wielding arms.
  16. You can save a lot of money on election campaigning if you don't have to bribe the serfs
  17. Bitter? No. Never been in the victim role. I wouldn't develop shrink wrap software, art, music, whatever, even at gunpoint. Condescending? You bet. It has mostly to do with despising the mentality and the weakness I think that it represents. Probably no comfort to anyone that I feel equal contempt for nationalism and a few other personality traits.
  18. Yeah, she even named her son Chris. Chris Avelline...
  19. I wonder if there is anything in there that is stepping on Putins or Mossads toes. We've seen in the past what happens to people who cross their path
  20. the power of the free market as the suits say, "let the market regulate itself" Actually, it's the exact opposite of the free market (which is what I have a problem with)
  21. You people just don't appreciate swamps
  22. Your post raises a different question... why the heck a game in two similar countries can be charged $40 and $100 respectively. It stinks of price fixing and the attempts to prevent parallel imports only reinforces the assault on the olfactory nerves. Same thing applies to the movie industry and their region encoding scheme.
  23. The swamps were even better than the sewers and that's saying something It would have helped if the sewers had had more rats and less drowners.
  24. I really want to look forward to The Witcher 2, but I worry about the changes. Part of me is (optimistically) hoping for more of the same whereas a different part of me is (pessimistically) dreading that all their efforts have gone into expanding on areas that I do appreciate. Lets see when it gets out
