  1. Not really
  2. It's such an impressive rant, it's almost a shame to throw facts in the way of it... Hines said Bethesda approached Obsidian to work on the title. "We've really been enjoying working with [Obsidian] on it," he said, adding, "That is all we're going to say about it right now." Since this isn't really going to lead to any constructive criticism, I'm locking it, as experience has show little useful debate follows from such premisses.
  3. Nah... but then, some of us are trying to actively forget this spin off game. Thanks for the reminder >_ Just kidding (except about the trying to forget part)
  4. Yes? *Raises hand* I vote that one!
  5. Thread pruned a bit. Not sure what the deceased had done to peoples favourite puppies or whatever, but dancing around the fire cackling with glee and celebrating a young persons death as "funny" somehow makes the funny thread lose its funny.

I believe the term for them is wet. That was the lucid one
  7. They should show us their feet instead. I want the one with practical combat boots rather than stilettos
  8. All that 'Awesome' and 'Accessible for lowest common denominator' had to pay dividende eventually... Although, if you blow up buildings because somebody did it in a video game (did somebody actually blow up a building in DA2?), you probably have more serious issues than a video game addiction anyway (like a complete detachment from reality).

Twice that I can remember. One was kind of pleasant (in a teenage boy kind of dreamy way) and the other was scary beyond belief (I knew was partially asleep, yet my surroundings looked like the static noise on an empty tv channel, very loud and worst of all, I was completely paralyzed, unable to even twitch a finger). Otherwise I remember very few dreams. Apart from the above, only two nightmares still cling to my memory... One of them so amusing in hindsight that I feel silly being scared by it in the first place, but such is the power of deams and imagination: I started losing my teeth, them falling down into my pillow. Then I tried desperately to stuff them back in my mouth, just to have them trickle through my fingers in larger and larger numbers, to become a surreal stream of teeth seeping through the hands I tried to cover my mouth with. It still reminds me that I need to go see a dentist some day The other one is not for sharing.
  10. Boy you got me, Volo. I didn't think my grandmother was bigoted because she talked about how evil Jews were. I thought my grandmother was bigoted simply because she said she wasn't. Isn't that a "hypocrit"? The powers that be knows I'm a bigot. I only deny it in cases where I'm unaware of my bigotry, not because I don't want to acknowledge my bigotry
  11. Put them in a wrap and sell tham as hot dogs... Almost got trampled to death by a news reporter team the other day. Them all being busy coming out of the court building, poking microphones in some suits face (you would think they were trying to force him to eat them), backpedalling at a brisk pace, not giving a damn what is behind them. Would have been an ignominous fate getting injured in a paparazzi/tabloid stampede

It can be annoying to the point of being debilitating... Feeling a bit nostalgic. Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine:
  13. Which that, Painkiller or one of its sequels, Painkiller Overdose and Painkiller Resurrection (Battle out of Hell was only an expansion)? Weren't Overdose and Resurrection just glorified fan mods? New levels, new cut scenes, new voice acting, new art assets, new fmv's, new story, new new stuff etc. Depends on what you regard as "fan mods". Is FO:NV a "fan mod" to FO3?
  14. Which that, Painkiller or one of its sequels, Painkiller Overdose and Painkiller Resurrection (Battle out of Hell was only an expansion)?
  15. LARP - The Movie Looks like it could be fun though.
  16. Must be horrible. Getting gently talked to by beautiful female psychiatrists the whole day "But you're special! You can change if you just want! Do you want a massage to feel better?". Heh, if that's what you imagine what a ward looks like I've seen them with chemical castration/pacification, straight jackets and padded walls (and nurses that makes Ilse, the camp guard seem gentle by comparison).
  17. Unless he's declared insane, in which case he'll end up indefinitely in a psychiatric ward. The equivalent of a life sentence.
  18. Because some psycho might be tempted by an easy target? It's not the thing you normally expect in Scandinavia. Last significant massacre at a political gathering was the bloodbath of Stockholm in 1520
  19. Yeah, flay it alive! There can be only one! After a brief vicious fight, the alpha predator emerged victorious, knife in hand, covered in pineapple blood, letting out a victorious howl that send a shiver through the cringing masses... Cut it's topknot off and then skinned it. All that sweet, yummy pineapple meat is all mine Ok, so I only cut part of it off, the thing being too big to eat in one day. Wrapped up the remains and put it in the fridge. In the end, much easier to deal with than my ill fated encounter with the dread mango.
  20. Why would there have been that? It was just a political youth camp, not a Hells Angels regional meeting or anything.
  21. Since the targets were the government and a labour party youth camp, it could be an unhinged right wing extremist.
  22. I'm engaged in a contest of wills with a Pineapple. Maybe I should have researched first (like, before buying it) how you actually eat those things. It's currently sitting on my kitchen table, taking up a defensive position, with its thick scaly skin and strutting its spiky bits I think I'll find the biggest, sharpest knife I have and do the "Psycho" thing. That'll teach it! Next time, I'll buy it in a tin can.
  23. Likely. I played FO1 first and I think it is far superior. I never even finsihed FO2 since I found it pretty dull and unfocused. But someone who played FO2 first would most likely be disappointed by the lack of size and lower levels and less generalized goofiness of FO1. They are very different games, despite appearing similar at first glance. "Size" was indeed a factor when I played it and decided that I liked it. For all it's goofiness, it did have a few bright spots. If they had just dropped San Francisco (as an example) and invested those resources in places like Vault City (the bigotry theme) and Broken Hill (racial themes), possibly elaborated more on the powerplay of NCR versus The Den and VC for unaffiliated places like Redding (hypocrisy theme) etc. it wouldn't have hurt. Just imnsho of course Oh yes, and the Car and the improved "inventory management" for players and party members. To this day, I still like that I didn't have control over my party members other than sticking out general guidelines that they would try to follow within the limitations of their personality. Anyway, regarding the actual topic, I think I might break one of my principles and start by buying Dead Money one of these days, just to try it.
  24. It's great. A highly under-appreciated game that combines a host of different gameplay types. When you installed the xcom games from steam did you have to do any configuring to get them going ot was it just install and play? Gamersgate, not steam (I'm not a steam fan). Install. Click on desktop shortcut. Play That's how all the DOSBox wrappered games on Steam work as well. Not sure if X-Com Apocalyse goes under that. It does (as did the two Masters of Orion games)
  25. Welcome to the forums Dommicius, Moved to the gaming section. ShadowScythe is right in, that the "official" place being the main hub of FO:NV activity. Leaving it open it in case a lucky shot comes this way with suggestions/answers.
