  1. Hmm. You may have a point there.
  2. I still remember being impressed by the first times I tried those kinds of stunts in S^2. In one early level I was faced with very close quarters combat, a house where some officer was residing. I remember bursting my machine guns and hitting enemies across the ceiling and through staircases. Very
  3. I'm playing it for reviewing material, taking one for the team like I did with The Bard's Tale. I think the best aspect of Fable is that even when you cast aside Molyneux's vain pretenses of suggesting what the game would be, the game itself promises to be much more in the earlier stages... And then fails to deliver on nearly everything. There's a solid foundation of good, core concepts there but then it muddles, breaks or just doesn't know how to put them to good use.
  4. Female characters should be able to romance Raven
  5. That kind of reward sound about right for an 8th to 10th level range. But assuming one would create a module - or series of modules - that would span several level ranges with the possibility of ending close to a 20th level marker, what would be the best way to balance this? I'm not a big fan of high level loot though there should be some to accomodate the players that enjoy it... But in terms of personal bonuses how could this be handled? When does it become overkill or overpowered? (I'm not talking about The Black Hound by the way, so ramza can put the steak knife down).
  6. Boiling Point comes to mind as well.
  7. I saw that Dunwhich expansion as well, though I wasn't sure it'd be good or not and I didn't have that much money on me.
  8. The Prestige. Nolan keeps interesting for a while and it's a nice enough story... Until the end where the obvious plot twist Michael Caine pointed out actually becomes true, and we're forced to watch cuts from previous parts of the movie because somehow the audience needs to have them fully explained.
  9. If the original version remained, at least we knew they had all died doing something useful instead of living and staring at walls.
  10. Source: http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=12355 They seem to love their Wiis in Japan.
  11. I usually find them roaming the countryside. Some love and tenderness usually gets me some, but rohypnol ocasionally works just as well.
  12. Oh, and some Ninja Turtles. Donatello. Michaelangelo (even a mug with his, uh, mug). Some weird Foot Soldier contraption I got after seeing it on the comic books, a kind of spider with punching gloves at the ends... Knucklespider or something?
  13. Optimus Prime, Megatron, and Grimlock. A funky console that had 600+ versions of several NES games (ie, Rockman, Rockman with extra lives, Rockman with infinite continues, etc.). Electric-powered racing tracks. My ZX Sinclair Spectrum 128k. Jumping Jack, Pacmania, The Last Ninja 3, Double Dragon... Fighting Fantasy books. Girls. A Sega Genesis with the 32X addon. Virtua Racing, Doom. A Super Nintendo. A PSX. A PC with emulators and hundreds of roms. Some D&D. Girls.
  14. Goth girls are above reading.
  15. My mother, who does not play videogames that require somewhat fast reflexes (a Tetris related trauma, don't ask) tried a Wii longer than I did. And it wasn't with Wii Sports, it was with Zelda. Frickin' Zelda!
  16. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> To quote your Darque account:
  17. I'm not sure the AV I regurgitated now was the same back then but the one I'm using again is indeed Mignola art. The character is Lobster Johnson, who was the basis for one of the protagonists of teh awsum mod me and Volourn would make. And this relates nothing to The Broken Hourglass. So there.
  18. Well, this is another one.
  19. I never got into the whole Aeris thing mainly because the game kept dropping hints that she'd die, and because I'd been exposed to main characters dying in RPGs before. Ultima VII, Phantasy Star 1, Secret of Mana, Final Fantasy IV through VI, Chrono Trigger... Aeries came off as a mere footnote after those.
  20. Not terribly fresh news, and not terribly interesting theme either.
