  1. That or a well greased Tommy Gun.
  2. No, Secret of Mana 2 is. Go Hawk Go!
  3. I think any depiction of violence has an influence in human psyche, in the same way everything - one way or another - has effects on the human psyche. However, I just feel its rather hypocritical of some to condemn and actively oppose violence in videogames, or rather it's depiction, while not going after other targets. If the concern for violence and how it affects people, specially children, is honest, then at least apply the standars to all instances of it, not just videogames.
  4. Try some Democratol. It'll make democracy seem good again.
  5. Zoq-Fot-Pik is here too? Whoa.
  6. Kinda like Ninja Scroll with a rock soundtrack?
  7. But did you sliced them up in a vorpal bunny fashion, or just cut them and waited around for them to bleed to death?
  8. Cool... and weird :D Thanks for the heads up, Ellester
  9. Well I'm not exactly sure how he used it himself... seems that's something else to put into the "weird online searches" folder so I can later find out Chainsaw on speed, eh? Whacked
  10. :: has spotlight focusing on him :: :: starts a slow strip tease dance :: "nobody does it better makes me feel sad for the rest nobody does it half as good as you baby you're the best...." :: continues ::
  11. Speaking of wierd, I heard Reeves Gabrels (who worked with David Bowie in Bowie's Hours), once used a vibrator as a musical instrument. Is this true? I heard he was pretty out there in terms of exotic sounds... unfortunately I haven't heard any of his works.
  12. I remember in the past having problems accepting I was wrong. But now I've just come to accept I'm always right, so it's better. Seriously, while this seems true for many cases, I think there are some people who at least appreciate being explained how things are. I know I do. It can be an embarassing situation for some, but I think it's overall quite positive and much better than remaining in ignorance. Of course, as you said, it's oftentimes pointless when trying this with people who don't just give a damn.
  13. It's been delayed. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> True. I heard they're making Pong: Enforcer instead, a Pong FPS that continues to bravely carry the Pong legacy into the future.
  14. Well, when I have 2,426, they'll just need to love me more!
  15. I like apple pie. I like eskimo pie. :: plays a riff ::
  16. I have 2,423 posts. Love me.
  17. While I haven't played it, I've heard several things about San Andreas and I feel it is much closer to an RPG than Diablo has ever been.
  18. I don't need to see depiction of violence in a videogame. That's something that sits between the "icing in the cake" and "fluff" segments, because I'm fine with it if it's there, and fine if it's not. My gaming experience doesn't revolve around it. I enjoyed games (and gaming) without blood and gore before they got trendy, I keep enjoying them with said elemetns. There's also the case of wheter it fits in a game or not, but as always that depends. On the other hand, profanity is something that tends to leave me unconfortable, because I rarely seem to find a reason of why it should be used. It doesn't improve my gaming experience, and most of the times it detracts from it.
  19. Thanks for the recommendations, Pope
  20. How is it, really? The only thing I know from his is, unfortunately and expectedly, "Come To Daddy" (which did tickled some parts of my fancy). Which of his works would you recommend?
  21. Yup. Plus, Soulfly, Atari Teenage Riot and Morrissey.
  22. That depends. Some people I know, for instance, are pretty conservative when it comes to music (I'm using conservative in the sense that they frown on anything that doesn't sound like, say, Norah Jones, or repetitive jazzy records with lifeless, predictable tunes), and many things in my music library are considered "weird" by them. By comparisons I consider some of things in my library to have once been weird and exciting to me, and nowdays aren't that much (an example being Korn, which I basically stopped caring for around the forth album). I'm sure there's a lot of weird music out there which I haven't heard, and that I'd probably like to. My tastes are far from being that diversified, in fact, and I resent that. I'm always on the lookout, though. As for "off-the-radio ****", I don't recall there being many radio stations around here that play Jon Spencer, Portishead, Nine Inch Nails, Deftones or even Housemartins (weird considering Housemartins were a pretty good pop band), just to name a few. Even if something is "off-the-radio", though, that doesn't lessen neither it's value or my appreciation of it (examples being REM or James).
  23. Witty conversations like these are what make me keep coming back to these boards.
