There are some standard pieces of code and programming techniques that persist regardless the time. Carmack's statement about HL2 having Quake code hints that programmers had written very maintainable and reusable code. Also, reused old code does not necessarily mean running on slower machines and difficult implementation of new features (usually it means slower AND harder to implelent new features )

I didn't read the books, but extended version is definitely better and makes some things a bit clearer.

You really should visit a doctor. I had sinus infection very often until I went to a good doctor. I've done x-ray and a thorough examination and it turned out that I don't have chronical sinusitis as other doctors said. It was inflammed adenoids that caused sinuses inflammation when I go out in cold for a little. Plus a deformed nasal convex which was the reason that my nose is blocked so easily when I get the infection.

I played both DnD and SPECIAL in real-time and it liked both. What I would like to hear from you is some evidence on why real-time SPECIAL is crap and DnD is not, because you keep asserting it without supporting your argument logically.

There is always nwn2news. Even if we wouldn't, the chances that it will run on my laptop with 16Mb GeForce 440Go are nil. Hence my resolution.

I own a 4gb ipod nano and I'm satisfied so far. The following is to my experience after 1.5 months of usage. Click-wheel, 'smart playlists', iTunes integration, instant CD importing, On-the-Go playlists are very good. In fact it has best UI solution for managing large number of files I've seen so far (I owned and operated other players). USB charging is handy Decent battery life (so far) On the downside, Nano's surface is very delicate and wears quickly after prolonged usage without any protective cover (the screen is somewhat blurry now because of scratches) Expensive (though I've got it for birthday ) Doesn't have voice recorder and radio Integrated battery (can't change batteries while travelling and such)

None, unless NWN2 besomes a console exclusive.

I am playing it right now and I fail to see any 'real-time' problems which are particular to FOT. It is not the issue with FOT itself, but rather that real-time is not suitable for this genre. Turn-based mode in FOT is very good though.
