  1. ...when you're studying for you bio exam and keep reading about the "Bastila" instead of the "blastula". This is happening right now.
  2. You actually found one? I don't know what's worse, that you went looking, or that someone had made one. (w00t)
  3. In K1 you were on Taris, K2 is Telos. Different planets. Yes, there are many similarities between the games, but you'd expect that. The stories are in the same system only 5 years apart. You'd expect things to be similar, and a lot of the people to stick around. Most sequals are like that. You can't exactly have a sequal if you don't have a lot of similarites...otherwise it's just a new game.
  4. I don't know what to tell you...I always seem to find blue and green. The first crystal I found was green, and the second blue. These are now the colors of the 2 sabers I use. I've got most of the colors in my inventory by now, so I don't know what to tell you.
  5. Once you've met the requirements for alignment, you'll see a cutscene of her coming to find you. After that, the next time you enter the Ebon Hawk is when you'll meet her.
  6. Got it. I was very, very close. One more act of goodness was enough to push me far enough up the LS spectrum to allow me to choose my PrC (Jedi Master). Thanks to all those who helped.
  7. For the DS ending, instead of frantically escaping a crumbling Malachor V, you simply stay at the core, and the view zooms out to space, and that's it.
  8. I have Visas, and I'm strongly enough aligned LS to have my character take the LS stance in the profile, but not sure exactly how strong it is. Do you know how strong it has to be? I am also level 16.
  9. This has been bothering me for some time: I've been looking for information about this for some time...and asking people I know who have the game--you get your PrC by talking to Kreia after you reach level 16, right? Every source I say tells me that you get the prestige class after level 16. However, I every time I reach level 16, I talk to Kreia, and tell here I feel an echo or something like that...and she says that I should speak to her later, and my dialog option says that I should talk to her after I've visited all the other planets. I've only done one planet, and am already level 16! I'll have barely any time to get PrC levels if I have to do all the other planets first. I know that last time I didn't get my PrC until level 20, and only got 7 or 8 PrC classes. Is this a bug (I have the PC version of the game) or is there something else I have to do first? This is really bugging me. How do I get the PrC after 16 levels like I'm supposed to?
  10. ...you try to gain influence with your friends by saying what they want to hear. ...you consider what a given decision will do to your alignment. ...you consider using your Dominate Mind power to get people to do what you want. That's just a couple that I thought of off the top of my head. I'd be interested to see what the rest of you come up with. I'm sure this type of thread has been posted before, but I didn't see it in the first few pages, and thought it would be fun to start up again.
  11. I'm with you. I looked at the title, and said to myself, "April Fool's Day joke, right?" Indeed, I was correct. In fact, I would have probably been more fooled if the patch actually had come out. Obviously the patch isn't out, because it's still coming soon. Hopefully 'soon' actually means soon now, because I'm pretty sure the definition of 'soon' isn't 'three years from now.'
  12. Wow...it's blatantly obvious you cheated on this build. 210 STR, etc., etc...who are you trying to fool? Although there's no level cap I know of, no one's ever (to my knowledge) gotten near what you have. And you must not have talked to Kreia ever, or you would have gotten your PrC a lot sooner.
  13. Personally, if the patch taking longer means that more bugs will be fixed, and they will be fixed better, by all means take more time. The only complaint I have is that "soon" has been going on for weeks now. I'd like a less vague answer if possible, perhaps with a tentative timetable. If it's going to take another month, so be it, but tell us that. Don't just keep saying "soon" because that's misleading.
  14. Yeah...I mentioned this a little while back in another post about Handmaiden. It's been known for a while. Just so you know, each robe sells for about 2200 credits (or something like that) so it's a good source of quick cash.
  15. Oddly enough, this is a source of infinite credits. If you tell her to get dressed, and she puts on that robe of hers, if you unequip it, you can tell her to get dressed again, and she'll pull out another robe. Now you have 2. You can do this as often as you want, but I'd save first--sometimes it causes the game to crash. However, each robe sells for something like 2200 credits, so that's a lot of money. All by telling Handmaiden to get dressed. And then taking her clothes away. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I can see using the cheat, sure... But getting her to put on clothes? Unconscionable. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's the thing. To use the exploit, you have to remove her clothes after you tell her to put them on. That's the only way you can sell them. And you can just keep doing that forever.

  17. Why not add a link to this faq for those of us who haven't found it, instead of just questioning our intelligence?
  18. I'm definately not the person to provide this kind of information, but it seems as though a lot of people (myself included) want to know about this kind of thing. I think it would be nice if we could compile a list of things that cause you to gain/lose influence with the members of your party. Try to keep the descriptions generic, rather than giving specific examples (i.e. insulting this person will make you lose influence, rather than giving a specific instance where you insulted him and this happened, etc.) or use the spoiler tag to hide sensitive information. This would be really helpful for those who may not be concerned about gaining LS or DS mastery, but rather gaining as much influence as possible over all party members, and then RPing their character to make the others do what they want. I also noticed that some party members can change influence with wierd things, so it might be good to let people know about these things too. I realize that answering something like this could take a while, so I appreciate all who take the time to answer. I know that many people will be glad to have this little guide, and I will be one of them.
  19. I think it would be completely unfair to make those that already paid for the game pay again just to get the extra content. Especially since, on the PC version, all the dialog and such is already there. There should be a way for those of us who bought the unfinished version to trade it in for the finished one or something like that. An expansion pack or special edition could change everything. Such a game would surely provide new feats/powers/classes/planets/etc. which would make paying for it worthwhile. If there is to be a content patch, or something like that, there shouldn't be any need for those who paid full price for the original game to pay again. I realize this could cause problems for Xbox users, but perhaps something could be done where you send in your copy of the original game, and get a new, complete one in return. This could be done for both PC and Xbox users, and would also ensure that only people who legitimately bought the original game would get the new version free of charge (except for shipping, I guess).
  20. Could you at least tell us why. I found no humor in this at all.
  21. 4 in a row! I'm glad to hear that the patch in well underway, and look forward to the timetable. Do you (devs) think you could detail some of what will be included in the patch as well?
  22. Volourn and Shadowpaladin--give it up! You're both just repeating the same thing over and over. It's ridiculous! Everyone else on these forums knows what the both of you are saying. You both have a point. We're all sick of hearing them. Just stop! You two are pulling the hugest Carths on the boards. As to the original question: Yeah, the KotOR community is kind of pulling a Carth. However, I think they have a reasonable reason to. Or they did. I own the PC version of the game, and let me tell those of you who don't--it's buggier than an anthill. This didn't stop me from playing though. I beat the game, and enjoyed it too. Yes, the bugs were annoying, but none of them seriously impacted gameplay for long. And now that I know a patch is coming out, I feel there's no reason to complain anymore. There are bugs. We know that...but now they're going to be fixed, so stop whining. I do hope they do a content patch as well. Especially since for the PC version all the dialogue is already installed, and just sitting there being useless. The technical patch (which I know is coming) is a must, but the content patch would be a welcome addition.
