  1. It seems you're the only one here that is aware/cares about that stuff. So again, what are you trying to accomplish?
  2. Trust me, you don't really want to know. The molelobster is just the beginning of a lameness not seen for generations.
  3. So is what we have in K2. K2 is an official licensed product. You aren't licensed to sell toilet paper. You lose. No, he didn't say 6 cm of armor. He said 15 cm. Talk about wearing a tank.
  4. No. Yeah, too bad the movie itself sucked donkey balls. Please...
  5. Yeah, and it's my God-given right to spam, derail and generically bastardize this thread to hell. But let's not get into what's our right and what's not, shall we? Oh, and Willy has something to tell you.
  6. No reason is good enough to buy Doom 3. That's rather common. It's not so common to see someone admit it, though. " That presents a problem with CRPGs, though. If you are designing a game in which the PC levels up too much, and still want to be consequent with the ruleset and what a level means (ie no level 70 beggars), you will have to keep combat to a minimum, or have loads of cannon fodder. None of those alternatives is very good, and that's why it's so difficult to balance CRPGs that center on epic stories and characters (which seem to be most of them lately). /rant mode
  7. Why thank you for such an insightful explanation of a non-existing, fictional technology, your eminence. I'm looking forward to your next works on hyperdrive theory and repulsorlift engines.
  8. Not another BWD thread...
  9. Bingo. I like SW because no other movie has the same feel to it. Perhaps it's the overly simplified morals, the "magic" that is the Force, or whatever, but that's it for me. But then again I'm a shameless SW fanboy so... Oh, and lightsabers... "
  10. Don't bother, that lesson is bugged.
  11. That is nice and all, but the exile isn't learning how to use the Force again, because he isn't actually using the Force. He has some Force-like abilities that he leeches from those around him and presumably from those he kills, through some weird Force bonds. So all of the losing an arm and suddenly getting it back analogies don't really apply. But you are forgetting something even more important, Kreia herself had had her own connection to the Force somewhat severed, so her situation isn't any better than the exile's. No, I didn't like Kreia lecturing me all over when supposedly the exile is a war veteran and an accomplished Jedi. I was really expecting a game in which the PC got to be the master, but this time around you're just another whelp. The whole Kreia mentor business is just a plot device to give the Darth Traya plot a deeper involvement for the player. If you try to dissect it, it doesn't hold very well.
  12. Different unarmed combat animations would be nice. But then again, so would be different animations for each of the lightsaber forms so, yeah.
  13. And I'd have to agree with Jags here. However, I'm almost done with my third playthrough and already thinking about the fourth...
  14. Well, he's not so famous to begin with. If you play a female PC, you won't hear anything about him whatsoever.
  15. You've got a point. If the trailer sucked, there's no telling how bad the movie would actually be.
  16. So, how exactly you want combat to be civilized? Nothing wrong with liking the old style saber fights better, but civilized combat is like dry water.
  17. Yeah, I can accept that those Sith "assassins" (funny they are called assassins when the only thing that ever gets killed when they're around are themselves) are easy at the beginning of the game because you are a hole in the force and stuff. But not the main baddy that is on the game cover and is so powerful that he can't even control it. This game has a lot of good things, but the balance got blown to pieces the moment they decided to remove the level cap and take a D&D approach to items. A shame, really.
  18. All of that storywise explanations are BS. Nihilus is a pushover just like Sion and Traya, and well, everyone else in this game. The reason is simple, the balance in this game is just broken, and that can't be blamed on time constraints, but bad design decisions.
  19. As far as I know, that's all there is to Exar's story. There are some books set in the NJO era in which his ghost does nasty stuff, but there is no novelization of his "adventures".
  20. I agree. If anything, dropping the bomb probably prevented an all-out nuclear conflict as a result of the Cold War.
