  1. He'll be fine. He's the embodiment of physical fitness.
  2. That's another good question indeed.
  3. It's ironic. He had godlike reality-altering powers, but couldn't make himself understand geometric growth. Yeah bro, "a simple calculus". It's like they were going for a sort of parable about people who slept through their high school science classes suddenly trying to aggressively school everyone else about "science".

  5. Hate to be "that guy", but that shouldn't put worries to rest if that worried you to begin with. Bubonic plague is endemic in areas of Central Asia and elsewhere. It's under control, but there's a chance that an antibiotic-resistant outbreak could get out of control. Note "get out of control" rather than "appear" because IIRC, they already found cases of antibiotic-resistant plague bacteria a few years ago. Misuse of antibiotics is one of those potentially catastrophic risks that don't get nearly enough attention. But hey, at least it's not Corona.
  6. Kanye tweets he's running for president
  7. https://www.gilead.com/news-and-press/press-room/press-releases/2020/6/an-open-letter-from-daniel-oday-chairman--ceo-gilead-sciences but muh fiduciary duty
  8. Also Chapo and some TERF subreddit. YouTube also banned that insufferable clown Molyneux and some others yesterday. Galaxy brain centrism going on the offensive, not surprising considering they are megacorps.
  9. We can't not have Rammstein embedding correctly. edit: retroactive double post!
  10. Why. Why do they insist on demoing FPSs with a ****ing controller??? Looks fun otherwise. I doubt it'll have a substantial amount of content like The Following, but if it does well, it could convince Techland to do the standalone it could have been. Maybe?
  11. Indeed. It occurred to me that Twitter is the best argument that could be made to illustrate why no one should want the ability to read people's minds.
  12. Yeah. I mean, everyone knows that the solution to dysfunctional public services, especially those involving the monopoly of violence, is more opacity.
  13. Not sure what you're referring to with "Obsidian". Boeroer is not an Obsidian employee to my knowledge. He posted it here, but given Avellone's profile, the conversation would have been brought up by someone at some point. Have Obs replied or reacted in some way? Otherwise, please try to refrain from making baseless insinuations.
  14. While no doubt great around the ladies, I'm sad to say that probably works against you with cops. You may retain some ability to handle a weapon under stress from your time in the Corps, but perhaps not as much as you think. And in any case, you're more an exception than the norm in that regard, among the CC community. I remember having a fairly sobering experience myself at the firing range when working towards private security certification (never got any use of it, the hours were terrible) shortly after being cut loose from the army. I also remember being downright terrified at how bad other people were. Granted, this isn't the US and it may be different over there. But in my experience unless you impose extremely stringent proficiency requirements, no matter the subject, people are going to be garbage at it. When it's guns we're talking about, that's dangerous.
  15. It is going to have a single player campaign. But Battlefront 2 did too. They may be trying to cover all bases and that's never good. A bit too early for pessimism, perhaps.
  16. I was interested. I've been interested in a SW sim like the ones by Totally Games since, erm... 1999? Guess I'll have to keep waiting. The silver lining is that since it's probably a different kind of game, XWing VM won't be seen as a threat and maybe they won't get C&D'd to oblivion.
  17. Looks more like a Rogue Squadron successor than XWA. It's EA Motive too (of My Face Is Tired fame), so...
  18. As discussed here, it seems there is no way to clear old content from attachments to make room for new pics. Or at least, I haven't figured how.
  19. Right. I may be misremembering, but I think there used to be an option to delete images from "My attachments" in the account CP. Now it seems the only way to do it is to delete the attachment directly in the post, but since there are restrictions on editing based on time, that's not a solution. I'm cross-posting it to the Forum Comments and Issues thread. Feel free to add your own remarks.
  20. You almost had me sold. But then you had to go and declare yourself president. Alas, it seems no one is immune to the lure of power. Reflect. Think about what you are doing. A peaceful transfer of power to someone who you know is much better suited for the job is still possible. Resign, and let Sunny bear that burden. For your sake. For all our sakes.
  21. Meanwhile, in pieces not tagged "entertainment"... Police walk back report that Capitol Hill protesters extorted businesses edit: oh, and the one (1) guy that was "deported" actually asked to be escorted out by folks there (around timestamp 50:00) after they found out who he is. Once the screeching idiots left, he had a fairly calm and respectful exchange with some of them until he decided he'd had enough and walked out. Doesn't seem to me that there would be anything preventing him from going back in if he wanted to.
  22. Imagine drawing conclusions about someone from the degree to which they are offended by whatever.
  23. The Humanoids pack is barely worth it unless you're buying it off G2A for $2 or something. The Lithoids one does add some interesting mechanics aside from nice aesthetic variety, but as usual, it's fairly buggy. Plantoids is like Humanoids but it does at least add fairly distinct visuals. Ancient Artifacts is cool because it focuses on what's the weakest point of Stellaris (aside from bugs, AI, clunky interface...), and that is story flavor. They seem to have taken inspiration from one of the coolest aspects of Endless Space 2 and adopted it somewhat. The mechanics of how it's actually done aren't very engaging though, which is made worse by not allowing excavations unless you own the system. I've all but given up on vanilla Stellaris by now. I'll start a Dominion playthrough in New Horizons when they iron out the kinks in the latest version, though.
  24. That seems to be poetic licence on the author's part. Not completely made up because it seems there are armed people in the streets, but not in a way you'd associate with the black or brown shirts you're thinking of, which were armed wings of actual political parties, complete with ranks, membership cards and oaths of fealty. Antifa has none of that, is not an organization, and does not have its own private army. It may come to that, in time, if they are organized into self-defense committees or what have you -- there's certainly historical precedent. But not quite there yet. We'll have to wait to see if they can live up to their purported ideas and risk actual democracy in there, but I think the author is jumping the gun by declaring that it has basically become 1937 Barcelona after four days.
