I prefer TB myself; I feel it's more tactical that RTwP (I love both Fallouts combat, ToEE...). And yes, I have just bought D:OS. I had skipped it until now. I also have got Wasteland 2. So far, so good. Both are great games (PoE and D:OS) but rather different. As for PoE, I think the combat is okay as is (I have already finished it on hard difficulty). And I doubt developers would include a TB option.

What a letdown for me. I thought it was another bug fixing update.

In my eariler playthrough I just killed the Adra Dragon just to get the "kill all dragons" achievement. I have started from scratch now that patch 1.05 is released (and with a different character). I might free the dragon this time, but I will save before doing it. It's a good thing you can rename savegames now.

Why all of sudden everyone ask for nerfing something down? If you don't like that chant, don't use it or, don't select it at all.

Some quests are very lengthy and boring imho, like Sagani's.

Hello. A followup on this issue. It seems it isn't exclusive to Gilded Vale. I have noticed some "you have lost some reputation..." for other places such as Dyrwood village. It seems random.

Just did that rather annoying part, where you have little rpg elements and you just have to "kill everything that moves..." sigh.... [i am hating Act3 btw] Anyway, did anyone noticed that enemies didn't automatically attack even if combat had started? There was also a lot of lag in those two places. Could it be due to scouting ahead with just my main char, which is equipped with boots of speed?

Yes. This has happened after doing the "Champion of Berath" quest. I have read elsewhere that this is a known issue and there is an incoming fix for patch 1.05 Thanks.

I don't know why but I was previously a hero and now I am a troublemaker. I swear I didn't do anything fancy, specially it's been a long time since I visited Gilded Vale last time. Ideas? I am now at Twin Elms and doing the last levels of Endless Paths of Od Nua.

Hello. I am still unable to beat this badass. I am level 11. I would like to know what party do you suggest to do it. Right now it's Edér, Kana, Durance, Sagani, Aloth and me. I think I am going to try with some more magic firepower, GM and Hiravias maybe. I am very dissapointed about this combat. It seems it isn't winnable unless you paralyze/petrify the dragon. Talk about tactics. Another weird thing is that you can slay half/all of her minions and she won't get angry.

*** Warning: some spoilers may follow.. I need to vent some steam. I am currently doing ACT 3 and so far, I have found out that there are a lot of flails, spears and daggers/stillettos (some two handers too) but little else in other compartments. Just because I only have Kana as every now and them two-handed melee user, I found most weapons of little variety. So far, I have only seen one unique mace and one or two warhammers. I miss 2H battle axes and more weapons. Maybe for future expansions.

Hello. My main character is a rogue. Right now, I have been fighting with two 1H weapons. Output damage isn't bad per se but it could be better. I have tried some 2H weapon and got some devastating effects while using sneak attacks albeit it's slower (although not my much). Also, Edér, my main tank is wielding a 1H weapon + shield. Should I go the 2H route for him too? I am aware there are at least 3 nice 2H swords in there (Started Act 3 right now). Opininons are welcome.

Hello. As of now (1.04) when more of two characters are using melee you will have a bad time flanking enemies/repositioning your team. This is very annoying and frustrating in combat. It's not a bug but it should be fixed ASAP in my humble opinion. Most probable outcome is that your chars don't obey given orders at all or get engaged in a more stupid way. I don't know whether the problem stems from the terrible pathfinding or anything else but it's very frustrating. That's why pretty much except for Edér, my party is far away armed with arbalests and the such. Not totally fun. Opinions?

I have made some measurements. Running on SSD (i7 5960x - 8GB DDR4 - Haswell chipset) Windows 8.1 x64. Windows Superfetch disabled. Od Nua level 15 -> 14: 9,38s Od Nua level 14 -> 13: 11,94s Od Nua level 13 -> 12: 11,03s Od Nua level 12 -> 11: 10,23s Od Nua level 11 Master staircase -> Caed Nua: 13,72s So... it seems that my middle ground is around 12s. A bit slower for a SSD no?

But depending on your hardware configuration only 3-3.50 GB will be "available". On the other hand, I am not saying your issues stem from there though.
