  1. Yeah. I'm not going to bother worrying about a guy who can't figure out a good last name for himself. As for the other one? The Frenchman? We all know about how the French perform under pressure, aside from an infrequent fluke or two. They had their moment of glory last time around. Now, just prepare for yet another example of American dominance in anything it puts its mind to.
  2. Problem with a female general ? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> For a variety of reasons.
  3. Yeah, that wouldn't work too well, given that they're both male. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Seeing that Revan male is "cannon" than I suppose Exile is female. But that will do. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Mmm, but the Exile was a general.
  4. You and me, man. We're the studs. Except for my whole Bram Stoker thing.
  5. I'm not telling you jokers my name, but trust me when I say that the irony of it would make some of you laugh your asses off. I'm 25. I do paperwork and shoot at people for a living. I received a BA in History from the second-oldest university in the United States. It's absolutely worthless, to the point where I almost wish I'd stuck with my initial choice, English. I'm married to a Russian. She's hot. I don't get to game as much as I'd like to anymore, though when I do, I'll play just about anything. I'm a big fan of Hemingway, Umberto Eco, and Patrick O'Brian. I'm a sailing nut. Best so far was the ten-day Virgin Islands independent charter, at least until the hurricane showed up. My wife deeply enjoys changing my desktop's background to a picture of myself lying on the floor of a Moscow metro train after having been kicked in the groin due to a misunderstanding with a female passenger.
  6. Yeah, that wouldn't work too well, given that they're both male.
  7. It probably won't. Then again, I don't really care in the first place.
  8. No, seriously. I mean, I know it sucks to have a country that doesn't even care about the most important sport in the world for you people come over and kick your asses all over your sorry little continent, but you might as well start coming up with excuses as to why you lost to the Americans now.
  9. I appreciate Peter Falk, and my DVD collection of Seasons One, Two, and Three of Columbo.
  10. Some people stand in the darkness Afraid to step into the light Some people need to help somebody When the edge of surrender's in sight.. Don't you worry! Its gonna be alright 'cause I'm always ready, I won't let you out of my sight. I'll be ready (I'll be ready) Never you fear (no don't you fear) I'll be ready Forever and always I'm always here. In us we all have the power But sometimes its so hard to see And instinct is stronger than reason It's just human nature to me.. Don't you worry! Its gonna be alright 'cause I'm always ready, I won't let you out of my sight. I'll be ready (I'll be ready) Never you fear (no don't you fear) I'll be ready Forever and always I'm always here. (Instrumental) 'Cause I'm always ready I won't let you out of my sight! I'll be ready (I'll be ready) Never you fear (no don't you fear) I'll be ready Forever and always I'm always here. Forever and always I'm always here.
  11. But the "cast" of an RPG, with regards to the main character at any rate, should be left up to the player. It's "action-RPG" console crap to give you a pre-generated whatever.
  12. Ah, the things that could be said, if one were vicious and inclined to give offense.
  13. Thing is, where can the story go? Say there's another adventure for the Exile and that pissant Revan, in which they either fight whatever's out in unknown space or come back to the known galaxy to defeat/take part in some great evil. What then? Do they just go off into retirement? That's essentially the same thing as heading out into unknown space to never be heard from again. If they don't go into retirement, what do they do? More adventures? Storyline's not over then, is it? What's the satisfactory ending? Both games had an ending, and you're saying you want more. Why wouldn't you want more at the end of the next one?
  14. All I remember from getting my wisdom teeth pulled is going completely under, and then waking up at home vomiting more blood than you could imagine. It was like a horror movie. He wasn't killed because he had a mental disorder. He was killed because he claimed to have a bomb in an airport. Someone (I think Steve) made the point that if he really had a bomb, no one would've found out until it was too late. I disagree. He might've not been an al-Qaeda-related terrorist, and even if he had been, those guys aren't always the slick international operators who do everything right. They've screwed up on a lot of stuff, this could've just been another example. As it is, I think it's a fine testament to why people with psychiatric problems need to remember to take their medication, and why those who are in charge of caring for them need to be on the ball.
  15. He wasn't innocent. Claiming to have a bomb in an airport or on an airplane is very much a crime.
  16. ...gah. How is the Revan/Exile storyline not already wrapped up? They're both off fighting the bigger threat outside of known space. Revan left behind people who can take care of the Republic, make it strong, while he's gone, and the Exile left behind the nascent beginning of a new Jedi Council. Don't you guys want to start playing characters that are wholly yours? Hmm? Hmm?
  17. Are there really no other competent RPG development houses around? You'd think it wouldn't necessarily be limited to Bioware or Obsidian, but I honestly can't think of who'd possibly be doing it. Theoretically, it could be in development right now, if LucasArts decided to stick with this theme of switching developers.
  18. It's a bad analogy. I'll give you a better one: I create my wife, but I don't create her to automatically love me. I do, however, threaten her with the beating of a lifetime if she doesn't love me. Since the result is essentially the same, why didn't I just create her to love me in the first place?
  19. Why not send everybody straight to heaven regardless? Why bother with life, why not just plop everyone down behind the pearly gates?
  20. Hey, I finally got it to work, and figured out how to get more than one result. Used different pictures this time. Me: Brad Pitt: 65% (Yeah, right.) Bram Stoker: 54% Ben Affleck: 47% (Again, yeah, right.) Mika Hakkinen: 45% Ringo Starr: 44% Keith Richards: 39% The little lady: Elisha Cuthbert: 69% Ingrid Bergman: 56% Christina Aguilera: 53% Zhang Ziyi: 53% Gwyneth Paltrow: 52% Charlize Theron: 50% I think mine are broken. Hers I can sort of see. But the Pitt-Stoker-Affleck progression has me mystified.
  21. Are you Hildegard?
  22. OMG *jealous at Commissar* <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Eh.
  23. Dying is the only way you can have them both in the game and out of the game (if that makes sense) Yes lots of Drizzt syndrome going around. Although I thought the origin books were excellent . After he became the uber shadow of death he became very boring to anyone who wasnt a teen. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Welp, can't comment on that, since I'm not the most familiar with literature from that genre, but I do know he's a popular chap for whatever reason. I'm not necessarily saying it's wrong to want to play established characters, it's just not what I would choose to do. I think it's much more interesting to see a new story, preferably one that the player has a lot of involvement in. Personal preference, is all.
  24. Got a picture of my wife to work finally. Only came up with one, Elisha Cuthbert at 81%. How do you get it to give you more than one celebrity?
  25. I didn't even think to go back and check the crawl. Good work, bud.
