  1. Started playing Wartales, despite having a ton of other games on my docket. But they added helmets and it does make a difference!
  2. Didn't there use to be a poll feature? He needs a ring before that comparison works though.
  3. I think we've established that we have different tastes.
  4. I think it was Troubleshooter, but I checked into it, and you've reviewed 51 games! You are prolific. @Tale Might have you beat. He's reviewed 90 games. I see him a lot too.
  5. Yep. Most were over an hour, so it still took me awhile to get through it.
  6. I finished season 4 of Jack Ryan, which I believe concludes the series. It was pretty well done overall. Good performances and great looking scenes. It did feel more Michael Bay than Tom Clancy in a lot of spots, but I got over that in season 2. Season 1 and 3 are still the highlights, but it ended on a high note. Mike November and Greer are the real stars of the show. Ryan is still a bit too much of a James Bond.
  7. The only difference between Obama's, Trump's, and Biden's immigration policies is advertising. All three are human rights travesties. Trump is just the only one who is proud of it.
  8. I like that Steam reviews put people on my friends list at the top. @melkathi has reviewed everything. But seriously, I usually just read a few and can get a pretty decent idea if the reviews are any use. Of course the AAA just gets a lot of random haters, but it's not like those games don't have enough exposure to overcome that.
  9. Finished up Mandalorian Season 3. It was pretty great and I'm enjoying the focus on Mandalore. There were also a few really good standalone episodes in this one. There is an entire episode on Coruscant that really focus on two characters, and it was phenomenal. There was also a fun one with Jack Black, Lizzo, and Christopher Lloyd.
  10. Dangit, I'm playing LotRO too. Must be something in the water here.
  11. This weekend I completed the Tour de Cure and rode 100 miles around Napa Valley. It was a beautiful day, although the sun didn't come out until mile 50 or so. We raised $25k, so another good year of fundraising. edi edit: Finished in 5:30, which was just a tad slower than last year. I'll take it. I got a bit nauseous around mile 75 and slowed it down, but it passed and I felt ok at the end.
  12. Yeah, I get disney+ and espn+ bundled with my Hulu live TV. It's still less than what I was paying for cable back in the day.
  13. I assumed the teasing is directed at Azdeus as he comedically uses sign language.
  14. It sounds like he would benefit from stem cell therapy. Insurance won't cover it, but I've heard it is miraculous. edit: I mixed up HGH and stem cells.
  15. Hah, and I never responded originally, so I guess I can do it now. @xzar_montyI don't mean to take anything away from those other authors. I'd still argue that King has the edge, since his work has had the most exposure of the group, but it is definitely worthy of debate. As for the Shakespeare comment, it was made a bit flippantly, but I was pulling from what I remember from college, and that was 25 years ago, so forgive me. Looking at the list of plays, I'd say his shift to darker tragicomedies after Queen Elizabeth was what I meant as trying to please the crowd. Honestly I'm not familiar enough with his 37 (38?) plays to really speak on them all. I only know the hits.
  16. Inventory management in No Man's Sky is a bit of a pain. The easiest way to mitigate it is to get a big ship. It's easy to store extra stuff on a ship with lots of spaces. Opening up slots on your personal inventory was kind of a pain, if I remember correctly. The boxes at the base help a bit, but I didn't like having to go back there and get stuff.
  17. Never let the truth get in the way of a good story. I understand that standup is not a personal memoir and most stories are manipulated to have the desired effect, but I can also see where this is going to create credibility issues with hosting something like the Daily Show.
  18. I've never understood the big concern over whether something gets blown up by Russians or Ukrainians. Whether it is a Russian attack or a Ukrainian accident doesn't change the fact that Russia is the aggressor and this is all on them.
  19. Yeah, it's a bit silly that we have all of these habitable planets with life, but there aren't teams of space archeologists already poring over every weird temple. But I guess that's a bit of the reason Constellation is unique, since most people in the universe just don't care about actual exploring.
  20. They simplified the tutorial a bit since you last played, so hopefully it is easier to get into.
  21. The smell is the rough part. I had a student bring one to class one year for a cultural presentation. It was entertaining.
  22. Finally got my B-level license, so now I can fly my big Stroud Eklund ship around. It's pretty sweet looking, and has a lot of space for activities. I also romanced Andreja, which took quite a bit of time and was well done. Her whole story has been very interesting. I can imagine that the whole snake religion group will get more attention in an expansion. There is quite a bit of decent world building done. They've got just a ton of different companies with backstories, and I'm curious how they build it out over the future. They could probably release a dozen expansions for this game.
