  1. Huh. They had Tom Hanks narrate the name change, which is pretty smart. But yeah, still doesn't really resonate. I think the most jarring thing, as a non-Cleveland fan, is that it will make watching Major League a bit weird. It seems strange they didn't go with something Rock centric. The label did come out decently.
  2. The impossible meat stuff is so weird to me because I love a decent grilled veggie burger. I don't need it to taste like meat if it is just well seasoned veggies, beans, quinoa, or whatever else. But the impossible burger turns me off because I don't know what is in it. I assume jackfruit, but the lab stuff creeps me out.
  3. The Outer Worlds was on sale on Steam for $20, and the expansions were another $20. Not exactly a huge deal, but I played it on the Gamepass originally so I'm happy to have it added to my steam library for that price.
  4. Cube crawls and parties? How is this stuff still considered a good idea in a work environment?
  5. I'm a big fan of the 12-hour fast idea. I've been doing it for 2 years and I've had less issues. It isn't a hard fast for me though, I have a protein shake in the morning. I have had issues consuming enough calories, so that is needed.
  6. Sorry to hear that Raithe.
  7. I think both the graphic and this statement are the wrong way to look at the issue. We have enough food to feed the world. We have enough roofs to house the people. We also have the resources and the technology to send people to space. It's not like if we grounded these rockets, suddenly we would solve the first two problems. The problems are too complex to solve with simple memes.
  8. And we have been vaccinating for over a 1,000 years. It isn't exactly a new science.
  9. Biz Markie
  10. Just go back to Conan Exiles.
  11. My son has recently taken up tennis, so I have been starting to follow it again a bit. When I was young, Agassi vs. Sampras were awesome and I was in love with Monica Seles. It is pretty shocking how dominant Steffi Graf was. It is even more shocking that her and Agassi live a very quiet life in Las Vegas now, and are still fairly young.
  12. It is also fair to say that labor will always be undervalued unless the laborers push for more value.
  13. I know you didn't write it, but I am not sure why the mask is capitalist. The $300 punk boots and the Apple laptop would seem to be a better thing to make fun of.
  14. You don't necessarily need to be straight to carry on a bloodline. There are royal expectations.
  15. I used to just put a chair on a desk and put my computer on the chair to mimic a standing desk. Of course that is a lot easier to do with a laptop, so it might not work for you.
  16. I think I'm going to send my kids to live with Melkathi if my wife and I die.
  17. Everyone needs cardio buddies to make it more enjoyable to knock out the miles. My running group gets me out of bed very early, but I'm always happy I did. I don't know that I'd call my Cycling group buddies. They are all jerks and my entire purpose in life is to not let them ditch me too early into the ride.
  18. I survived my 8-day family trip to Vegas. One neat side effect is my son came home wanting to play Fallout: NV after I spent the whole trip pointing out landmarks to him.
  19. No Sudden Move - Stylish 50's crime caper with a fantastic cast. This movie had a lot of moving parts, but it flowed very well together. I enjoyed the heck out of it. This was the best Benicio Del Toro role in awhile, and Don Cheadle was great. Tomorrow War - Stupid. I mean, I guess it had good effects. The guy from Parks and Rec and the girl from Chick were not terrible, but they also weren't not not terrible. JK Simmons was the bright spot. I should add that the premise is this former spec. forces guy is unhappy as a science teacher and is struggling to find his purpose, and the whole plot kind of revolves around how education is not a good enough job. Thanks, Hollywood.
  20. I picked up Wildermyth, and it is a fantastic experience. I love the generational gaming aspect. My early heroes are all close to retirement, and the next generation is getting ready to take over.
  21. Forum plot twist, Keyrock gave birth to mkreku!
  22. Yeah, but if people work from home, how do all the micromanagers justify their existence?
  23. It seems to be a linguistic map, not a tribal map. Edit: I guess the correct term would be political or nation map, rather than tribal. I always have to spend time explaining the difference between the settled civilizations of the Aztec and Maya and the migratory nature of the groups in the north.
  24. It is in my class. Technically we divide it up into more units over a couple years of teaching history. Aztec and Maya get their own lessons. Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico blend with the Age of Exploration, and the Northeastern stuff is all separate. In California, we also focus specifically on the California tribes at one point.
