Bin Laden is dead
I approve of this message.

That sounds more like realism than imbalance. Balance is overrated.

I picked up BFBC2: Vietnam for $7.50 today, pretty nice price. It is fantastic, they really captured the Vietnam war movie vibe well. I got beat down pretty hard though.

The Fringe
I might go back over it with Netflix, I lost interest in the first season at some point, but it sounds like it got better over time.

Mass Effect 3
While The Architect does appear in the books, Awakening actually felt better for me having not read them. He appears as a mysterious figure for a while. Then he explains who and what he is, and his motives. If I'd read the books, the suspense would have been lost and the reveal would have been redundant. Compared to WoW: Cataclysm where Thrall and Garrosh's changes are a big "what did I miss" moment. Do they ever explain why there is a dwarf mute following him around in the game?

Mass Effect 3
I don't know how the Dragon Age expansion, Awakenings, even make sense if you don't read the book first. So I guess I'm comfortable with this whole approach of using different formats to move story forward.

Age of Decadence
The graphics look pretty good. Hopefully it will come out eventually.

The funny things thread Part 2
That is phenomenal. It really helps with the whole "How do you want to go?" question.

Mass Effect 3
Not anymore than an expansion establishing canon would bother me. Actually I think it is pretty great, it gives me a reason to boot ME2 up again, and for $7 I get a little prequel story to tide me over until ME3 comes out. Regardless, I doubt you will be lost in the story if you don't play the DLC. I think the lame outfits and weapons is a lot worse as DLC. Why bother with that? I want story.

NHL
Nabakov might be available, and he's already got the connections to the Russian players on the team. I'm not sure where his skills are at though with a season away and being a bit older.

Mass Effect 3
So has anyone played the new DLc for ME2? I think it's called the Arrival. Apparently it sets up the story for the 3rd game.

What you did today
I'm supposed to go to the doctor about my blood pressure, it has been high the last few times I've been to a doctors office. Apparently it is genetic, my mom is very healthy but she has to take medication for her blood pressure. I'm in my early 30's so I guess this is the time where stuff starts to happen like this. I'd barely call it a panic attack, so hopefully it was nothing. But there have been more of these moments where I feel my blood pressure rising lately. It's been pretty much this last year, and I think I can say it has quite a bit to do with having a baby and a 4-year old around the house. A good night's sleep is a rarity and the house erupts in chaos every few minutes.

I was going to say this reminds me of that time I went along with my wife to Yoga Pilates. Brutal stuff.

NHL
I'm in a bit of shock that San Jose is up 3-0. I hope they finish it off quickly, I don't want the Wings to hang around. I am shocked at how the Caps went down, but the Lightning do look like a very dynamic team right now. It's looking like the Bruins versus the bolts in the East, although we've seen Boston go up 3-0 on Philly before... ;-)

What are you playing now?
I hear the sequel "Marriage" is really good at the start, but goes down hill quickly. depends on how good a player you are, both during the game prior to wedding, and after marriage. If you did well enough, it only get's better as you get further along. That's a bug. I hear it gets fixed in the next patch. I downloaded the boy and girl DLC's. They were pretty pricey, and there was a lot of grinding out diaper and bottle changes, but the AI is super impressive.

What you did today
I get that I should be doing it, I mean I really want to do it. I want to be the best teacher I can, of course. I just feel like I have no feasible shot at success. I could do it with 20 students per class and about half the amount of curriculum. That's why I enjoyed teaching summer school, I had half the kids and I was only expected to cover one unit.

What you did today
I had this slight panic attack today. We are having a meeting on assessing student learning, and how to help students self-assess. I started to panic. I have 37 students in every class and I have to cover 11 huge units in one school year. How the **** do I also teach them to self-assess, then look at what they learned and go back over concepts they didn't get? My blood pressure went up and I excused myself from the room. I need to stop typing because it is happening again.

I think maybe there is a language barrier or something. He seems like a reasonable enough fellow, but there are some pretty big gaps in communication going on between the two threads.

Numbersman seems to be missing the point of this thread. Feel free to take it to the other Osama one.- What are you playing now?
So is it worth getting? I'm still enjoying Warband, but there wasn't much of a jump from the original M&B and Warband. Is this a bigger change?- Bin Laden is dead
I don't think there is anything to be gained by showing the corpse, and it is in very bad taste.- Rift
