My kids have been really bad about sleeping the last couple nights and I'm feeling it. My son who is 9 months, went to bed at 7 last night but then woke up at 9, 12, and 4, then he wouldn't go back to bed after 4. My wife suggested drugging him at one point.

I would expect ME to continue, but I imagine the Shephard storyline will be wrapped up after ME3. Which is fine with me, it's a decent universe and I doubt they will let it just sit around with the sales numbers it is getting. I wonder if Dragon Age 2 will meet sales expectations? It seems to be on a bit of shaky ground, but maybe that is just the doom and gloom in these parts.

HoMM 3, because it came out in a simpler time in my life where I lived in a dorm and had friends and we would just play it for hours on end.

I've decided not to pick up my pre-order of Dragon Age 2. I'm pretty busy with Rift, Risen, and Battlefield: BC2, and I can't see myself playing another single player RPG right now. So I'll just wait a couple months and get it during a dry spell.

Really enjoying Rift, so far I've tried a few different classes as well as the two factions, and I think I've settled on one. At first I started as a Guardian warrior, because they looked like the good guys and I like to melee it up. I played for a couple levels, but then I read some folks I know were on the Defiant side, and I wanted to try a mage. My mage didn't last long, and then there were server queue's, so I started all over on a lower pop server with a rogue because they get guns and I like that. I took my rifle toting Defiant giant looking guy to level 10. I was enjoying it, but I had to use a pet to survive and I wasn't a fan of that. So I decided to try a warrior again, but I didn't give the Guardian faction a fair shake before so I played through the introduction with a paladin/warlord/Void Knight. I loved the classes and the way he played, but the Guardians really are a bit too holy roller so I made a new warrior on the Defiant side. So far I'm at level 6 and I think I'm sticking with him. Phew.

I'd say the biggest problem with Indy 4 was they departed from the biblical lore. Temple of Doom was also pretty weak because of this, but it was less goofy than the whole alien schtick.

I am now quoting myself, but that's because I have tiger blood running through my veins. Not only were the adventurers attacked by an airborne fruit salad, but there was a giant orc hiding amidst the fruit. Now, maybe I'm missing something, but a giant fruit salad with an orc hiding in it? We're firmly in Naked Lunch territory there, ladies. The trailers were fairly terrible at conveying anything good about the game. The real magic for me is the two factions, which I think are very well done. There isn't a good versus bad or even an attractive versus ugly faction like most MMO's. One faction is completely faith based, they pull power from the gods and all that. The other faction is completely reason based, they use technology to achieve similar results. Both factions are flawed but have fairly engaging reasons to do what they do. Your character is basically a super soldier. Oh and there is time travel, but it's handled in a really cool way. So yes, the story is much better than the crappy trailers let on.

Sorry to hear that Morgoth.

Yep, my kill to death ratio is fairly horrific in multiplayer. But every few rounds I get a really satisfying on in, the other night I was doing pretty decent as a sniper and had 5 headshots in one round, plus I destroyed a tank with C4 and even managed to gun a guy down with my pistol when I ran out of ammo. This is after getting killed 8 times straight in a previous round, so there are highs and lows. In other news, I bought Rift and turns out it is awesome. I love the Defiant's storyline, it is awesome. edit: I used awesome twice in two sentence. That's how awesome Rift is. I need to get a thesaurus.

I picked up Risen for the PC at Best Buy, I believe. It's been out so long, it really is just a matter of luck to find a physical copy.

Is it any good? I'm close to getting this one as well, so I'd love a review. Is the story engaging at all? It sounds a bit meh generic fantasy, but it is hard to get a read on whether they engage you as a player well.

I guess I am too. I have no idea how that happened, but we should probably get official badges or something. I don't recognize about half of those names on the member list too. Wals is player of the week

I have L4D as well, haven't played it in ages. There is a Steam Obsidian group on there that a few of us are in, Society of Dangerous Obsidian Forum something or other, I think it is SODOFF.

Had the same thought. Imagine him giving the VK test Oh well, treat it like the new Dune books, pretend they don't exist. I made the comment a bit tongue in cheek, but I really could see him doing it. I like Johnny Mnemonic enough to go see it with him as the lead.

Let's play a round some day hurlie - I have the game as well. Sounds good, my soldier name is Hurlshot, I think there is a friends list in the game.

I'm getting a bit better in BFBC2, still have an atrocious round here or there. I did get a lucky headshot on a guy from 700 yards out, that would be my best kill so far.

I've ben eating a box of girl scout cookies a day and feeling sick afterwards. Thankfully I finished the last one today.

I thought the dwarf story line was also fantastic as a dwarf commoner. You are basically choosing between your sister and Harrowmont.

I told Alistair to shut his trap, killing the mom was the only way and he needed to get over it.

So a good dentist may have prevented the Holocaust?

As long as it has Keanu Reeves in it, I'm game.

Yeah, I don't seem to be doing much damage right now with the default sniper rifle, I had a few hits before I got an actual kill. In previous games, the rifle brought guys down to the verge of death, so I'm not sure how it works here. Also, I don't get the health bar info at all. One of the problems with buying on Steam is I don't get a manual I can read on the toilet. How the heck do you use medkits in this game?

Nothing. This is their first project, the studio director is a former Sony studio boss with a pretty successful release under his belt. If you're too lazy to look a team up, applying the "your product is only as good as your pedigree" philosophy seems kind of... limiting. I think he is saying he plans on waiting until it is out and the feedback starts to roll in before looking too closely at it. That is what happened with Batman: AA, it wasn't on the radar for me, but when it came out and the folks that got it loved it, I had to grab it.

I think Risen is the Bee's knees, so I'm pretty excited about this. I am actually playing through Risen right now, so I have to avoid these articles to prevent spoilers.

Battlefield BC 2 on Steam - It's been two years since I've really played a shooter, and my skills are pretty rusty. Still, the game seems pretty solid and I think I'll be able to play my preferred sniper role fairly well. I got one kill with the sniper rifle last night, but hopefully more will come as I warm up.
