  1. Watching a couple gameplay movies does not = playing the game. Thank you for sharing your uninformed opinion though, it is important to have people with wrong opinions because it makes those of us that are right feel superior and warm inside.
  2. There is no argument here. Anyone who has played both knows SR2 is better than GTA4. They are trying to do two different things, and SR2 is much better at what it is trying to do.
  3. I'm pretty sure Morgoth never actually played either Saints Row game, he's just throwing out an uninformed opinion of it to keep things lively. Because anyone who plays SR2 knows it's the greatest sandbox game ever made.
  4. They don't, because their EULA is subject to their Privacy Policy. Most relevantly "EA will never share your personal information with third parties without your consent. We may, however, share anonymous, non-personal, aggregated and/or public information with third parties." If you want to you can make any EULA/ Privacy Policy look bad though. Valve exempts 3rd parties from any and all provisions of its privacy policy, for example. And 90% of its business is selling 3rd party stuff... I should probably also repost the link I stuck in the Random News thread debunking the current "Origin uploads your entire HD to the internet!!!" scare. What it actually does. But what about the internet boogymen!?! I know they must exist. Seriously, I was worried about Origin and not happy about needing another program to run games. I was comfortable with Steam (which actually took some time) and didn't want to hassle with something new. But it turned out that Origin is faster to load and barely noticeable, so I'm over it. I'm not going to miss out on games I enjoy because of it, that sounds crazy.
  5. Yes, I would be fine with that. I am already registered there (Because I purchased DA:O and ME2). Eventually Origin will replace Bioware Social, they've already started merging the accounts, and now DA2 and ME2 show up in Origin for me.
  6. It's funny how it seems like GTA keeps getting more and more serious, and Saints Row keeps going further on the opposite end of the spectrum. Looks great though, I think I'll like it better than 4.
  7. I vote with my wallet, and so far if EA force us to install this I wont be buying any of their future titles. Do you hold the same stance with Steam? I can respect being against both Steam and Origin, but choosing one to discriminate against seems petty.
  8. It's slow as **** and the fact that you have to exit and enter the game every single time you change server is extremely annoying - plus your browser has to be open, which is just a waste of RAM... incidentally I'm not impressed with the new "features" as you might tell. And not being able to change squads mid-game... None of that has anything to do with Origin. That whole browser Battlelog thing is completely independent. edit: And I agree with you, the browser thing is odd. I've gotten more comfortable with it, but it does seem like a waste of resources. It just seems to be aimed at making slower computers have a bad time.
  9. Ros, you need to add some of us to your battlelog. I'm Hurlshot24. edit: I'm not promising to give you a better experience, but at least when I accidently team kill you it will be fun to call me out on the forums about it.
  10. Stephen R. Lawhead is a better Christian fantasy writer anyways
  11. I haven't heard about any problems with Origin, in fact I barely notice it launches when I start up BF3. I'm going to go ahead and say it is less intrusive and loads faster than Steam. Has anyone had a legitimate problem with it?
  12. Thanks Cant. There definitely is an age where trick or treating is no longer appropriate. But it is hard to find a better time of the year to meet the neighbors. It gives everyone an excuse to knock on doors and engage is chit chat. We went by a house near our street that was a bit off the beaten path, and they were super excited to see us, they hadn't had a trick or treater in a couple years. They gave my daughter full candy bars
  13. My daughter had her first preschool Halloween parade (she was Snow White), and my son ran around in a lion costume. It was a lot of fun. I'm exhausted!
  14. How in the world did it manage to hold on so long? Too Human bombed ages ago.
  15. Make sure you remind us every three days. I am not in beta, I just don't know if its ok to say stuff about the game, don't really want to get into trouble. But I am sure if you guys wanted to get info you would have been able to find it by now. You are not under an NDA unless you are in the beta, or have been at one point. You will not get in trouble for posting information that has been released already.
  16. The nice thing is you can shoot all those lights out and plunge the map into darkness. I was so excited the first time I got some glare from a lamp and I took it out with a shot from my rifle. It just made everything perfect for sniping.
  17. This movie looks awesome. "What are you, a marines biologist?"
  18. No. It probably won't expire until very close to release.
  19. I had to look up the release date the other day, and I'm a bit confused about the fact it is being released on a Friday in the US. Isn't Tuesday our standard release day? What does this mean for all those midnight release parties? I just thought it was a bit odd.
  20. If we could come up with a way to fix the entire malpractice suit system, I think the US Health Care would be great. Right now I pay way too much a month for insurance. It costs me $600 a month to cover my family, and that is only about 15% of what my district is paying to the insurance company. It's a fairly raw deal, we are all healthy and basically carry it in case an emergency happens.
  21. Never trust the PR machine, eh. All I can say is that there is more to it than that. edit: After reading the article, I think they do a good job of explaining that too.
  22. I read Iggulden's Ghengis Khan series, and I thought they were really well done.
  23. I wish. I guess this just isn't Bethesda's thing. FO3 didn't have any either. You would think after watching Obsidian pull it off they would be interested in trying to give some personality to people that follow you around.
  24. It's like your throwing it in our faces that you have all these different talents! The art, the modeling, and now the prose. A triple threat!
  25. After the red rings of death, I'm thinking they will stay away from any circular terminology.
