  1. Well you can rest assured that all Oby did was look something up on google and then cut and paste large swaths of it. Laziest troll ever
  2. I think you are understating it when you say "5 identical messages." Make it 1000+ and it starts to become irresponsible journalism because they are rewarding (and hence encouraging) spammers for their actions. Not to mention the message simply gets lost under all that spam.
  3. We've been in the promised land for awhile already. The independent game development movement is huge right now. It started picking up with all these online marketplaces and has simply become huge. Kickstarter is just another chapter in that book.
  4. Interesting article on a spam campaign. That Camelot game was just asking for too much money.
  5. I'm not sure Oby understands how a community photo sharing thread works. I'm not sure he understands how a community works either. Feel free to share some details about the photos and your trip, that's what most people do in these things.
  6. I'm pretty sure newspapers have been relying on revenues since they started, at least in the US. The deterioration has more to do with the constant bombardment and the state of society as a whole.
  7. Detective Calax is on the case!
  8. I'm really happy about their story breakdown. It's a good plan and I think it will be fun to see how they utilize guys like Ivan and Hitman.
  9. That's it Boo, you are kicked off the Mars Exploratory Expedition.
  10. I imagine you will get out of your parent's garage pretty soon, with scores like that
  11. It's embarrassing that these social media outlets felt the need to go after a poor kid who had probably taken his life weeks before the bombing. But I did notice a moderator of the reddit thing apologized profusely to the family and friends of the young man.
  12. I wouldn't consider Jagged Alliance a larger budget title. Heck, I'd still consider Shadowrun Returns a small indie game. I get what you are saying though, they are a bit bigger than FTL.
  13. Fantastic pics, I might need to show these to my students. We are learning about the Aztecs this week, good timing.
  14. Go get Faster Than Light, or FTL. It's a pretty cool game, although you will die. That's actually the point of the game. It was a kickstarter project.
  15. Play each one for a bit, you'll get a good feel for the right one.
  16. I'm much more comfortable with this kickstarter than the Susan Wilson one. Of course I have plenty of autistic kids in my school and community, so I'll probably stick to helping them out.
  17. They are almost at 100k, so they are still pushing forward. Plus they said they have some news coming down the pipeline. You can probably count on them getting a decent push at the end, so as long as they slowly gain until the last week, maybe reaching $230k, then they should be solid. I upped to $65 for a boxed edition.
  18. After 3 hockey games in 24 hours, I feel very old.
  19. I pre-purchased the expansion in January because I was playing regularly, but I haven't even bothered to log in to check it out yet, and probably won't any time soon.
  20. Hey, the sexual harassment complain might help you land the adult store gig.
  21. Statistically, all our records are based on an 82 games schedule. So I hesitate to embrace a shorter season.
  22. If you didn't like the original, you wouldn't like the updated games. That's the point, they're releasing updated versions of the games to keep cash flowing so they can take chances on other ips I enjoyed SW:KoToR and SimCity. I still play them. EA hasn't released anything that I see as an improvement on them really...though there was the release of the double disk set of SW:KoToR I and II that I got...didn't think that was an EA release though was it? If it was I guess I got something, but their MMO and always online SC aren't improvement in my book, more like...putting more restrictions down without actually enhancing anything other then more restrictions. IMO of course. I'm not an MMO type of guy if you couldn't tell. The always online stuff doesn't really have anything to do with the quality of the games though. Your complaint about TOR is totally valid, they took the franchise in a very different direction.
  23. I've been bamboozled!
  24. Ea has had major missteps of late, but they really aren't total failures. In fact a lot of the games at the core of their experience are very good, even though they have been marred by server issues and such. BF3, SimCity, and TOR are all very playable games that also sold very well at release. Are these games inventive? Heck no, but that just means EA is the same as every other large publisher.
