    Then I am not sure how you can possibly characterize the west as in decline. Growth amongst lower and middle classes is terribly stagnant compared to the wealthy, but compared to the past most people are still seeing an improvement in most areas. Food, shelter, clothing, health care, etc. Which past? You can take any time period you want. Food production, medical technology, and housing have all become better over time. We aren't even a generation removed from asbestos in the walls. Just look at the infant mortality rates over the last 80 years. We've had this argument before. Give me some real evidence that the western world is in decline as a whole, not a handful of tragic examples.

    I sided with the Disfavored in Act 1 and did not have to do any of those things. The game has a lot of choice.

    Other than being potential hit list material, what benefit is to this? The weird thing is a similar system was abandoned years ago because it was redundant. Because WE ALREADY DO THIS. If you come into the US, you go on a list.

    And regardless of who Trump really is, he has a terrible image problem right now. I mean, every President is going to have group that are just going to irrationally hate him, but Trump is setting a new bar. Heck, even WoD was ready to not vote for him after the Billy Bush tape came out. I like this speech, but I don't see how it would serve Trump in any way. It also seems to lump all protesters in with those who are getting violent, which is the same problem with lumping all Trump voters in with racists. If every time we talk about Trump supporters, we feel the need to lecture on racism, it is just going to cause people to tune out. The perception of Trump is that he not in support of any of those things that the symbol is supposed to represent. That may be totally inaccurate and irrational, but I don't see how it will hurt him to show support. He already won the election, now would be a good time to start mending bridges (because people are flipping out over fences.)

    I read the transcript. Spencer may be well-spoken, but he seems to be living in la-la-land. His whole fantasy about an ethnostate is built around the idea that something tremendously terrible has to happen to get us there. His Israel example fits well, because there was a World War and a Holocaust that resulted in those circumstances. Not sure why we would want to recreate any of that. He also kind of takes the whole history of racial subjugation and brushes it under the carpet. It's not exactly ancient history, we aren't even a full generation removed from this stuff.

    If I as in a position to advise Trump, I'd tell him to put one of those safe space safety pins on his jacket the next time he goes out. I mean, if he's trying to tone down the rhetoric and bridge the gap between the other half of the country, that seems like a pretty tame symbol to adopt. Either that or the symbol will lose any power it might have. Just a thought.

    If you are making the decisions that lead to such a scenario, then I am not sure you can call it railroading.

    Made my first goblin in WoW. This is a crazy storyline in a crazy town. Someone clearly had a lot of fun making this stuff up.

    In this case i would say the Zoological Association of America. They can decide if an ape would be offended or not. See this right here just strikes me as passive aggressive douchbaggery. If, as GD said, un-PC comments are supposed to rebel against thought control, I fail to see how this comment meets the criteria. But I'd be happy to hear an explanation.

    I enjoyed the original and plan on picking it up Dishonored 2 in December. I think most folks here are busy with Tyranny at the moment.

    PoE is $45 for the base game right now. Oh...well then I guess wait for a sale.

    Why not both? PoE isn't exactly expensive at this point.

    Really? Huh, I mean I get the outdated information, but I'm surprised to hear they are riddle with errors. I tend to caution my students against relying on any one source for all their information, and as you said, verify the sources when looking at wikipedia. Trying to convince students to not use wikipedia is an exercise in futility, so it is better to get them to think critically about what they find.

    They typically have substance abuse problems that eliminate any type of profit they may be making.

    Seriously, the game would be the greatest ever if it had the combat from ToEE.

    PoE is a sprawling epic, while Tyranny is a much more focused adventure. It is good to see the improvements they've made on their second go around with the engine, so I'm hoping that PoE 2 continues that route. Honestly I'm over the real time combat, but thankfully there is story mode. The game is still worth the price of admission without it.

    Donating to a specific church in your community does not break down like that, I've been in on the meetings where we talk about costs to run the church, repairs, etc., and how much we bring in with donations. It's a pretty tight window, we aren't funding any mansions in our small little Catholic parish. I tend to use Goodwill pretty regularly, then we've got Girl Scouts and school fundraisers. After that I'm tapped out.
