I don't get it.

I remember my daughter wanted to drive the car in SR2 when she was little and I was playing it. I let her drive, she hit a wall, and the character went flying through the windshield. She yelled "Why wasn't I wearing a seatbelt!?! What button do I push to put on my seatbelt?!?" I think she learned a life lesson that day.

Still enjoying the heck out of the Morrowind expansion for Elder Scrolls Online. This is the best expansion I have played for an MMO since LotRO released Mines of Moria. It has really changed the feel of the game.

Wow. That's gotta be tough to swallow for the Cavs. 15-0

If it really is Mission Impossible with a mummy, then I find plenty of fault. I am not really saying it can't be more serious. I would be happy to see some serious Egyptian Mummy stuff. This looks like typical action-fare though, and seems to lack the charm of the Brenden Fraser vehicle. Is it trying to be more grown up? Can I no longer take my kids to see it? Also this is still an attempt to cash in on The Mummy IP, even if it is not closely connected. They even reworked The Mummy ride at universal studios to fit the new film.

The Brenden Frasier films were very much campy and fun. I suppose you can try to go serious, but then why bother with the franchise at all? Also the Universal horror movies of the 30's may not have originally been silly, but they've definitely become a bit lighter with age.

The new Mummy looks pretty terrible. It seems to take itself way too seriously.

I've recently been getting stomach cramps from eating sandwiches, and I think it was from the mayo. I've switched to honey mustard and it has been better.

I don't understand how any country operates without term limits. -
What, did you jump in the escape pod and leave everyone behind?

Wow, I knew about Dolph Lundgren, but had no idea about the lead singer of Offspring. Crazy. Although to be fair to Bill Nye, he's got some pretty solid engineering credentials. Much like an actor or a singer, I'm not sure if a kid's tv host really needs to have a doctorate to be effective in their field.

There is also a subforum where the more tech savvy members tend to talk about this stuff: http://forums.obsidian.net/forum/54-skeeters-junkyard/

Maybe he is using google translate? That tends to mess with sentence structure quite a bit.

I have fond memories of my school, but I certainly paid enough while I was there. I don't feel the need to donate either. -
Game 3 is pretty much the difference between a series and a sweep. Should be fun.

That great big mimic hunts you no matter what, I'm pretty sure.

Prey was pretty special, I rarely think I'll play more than once. Heck I rarely finish most games.

We are on a video game forum, I don't think I'll spend the time on that. -

I've never understood the need to split hairs over environmental concerns. We should be constantly pushing for cleaner energy because it is the smartest long term decision. -
I avoided alien upgrades, figured that would be a nice change for a second playthrough.

This is a fun game.

I thought I'd follow up a bit on a thread that was happening in the funny things thread: Sharp_One posted an image of terrorist attacks in Europe. I noticed an island of the coast of Italy that was covered in red spots, and that sparked my interest. I couldn't figure out if it was Sardinia or Corsica, so I looked on google maps. Once I knew it was Corsica, I typed in Corsican Terrorism and learned a little bit about something called the National Liberation Front as well as some stories about Muslims in Corsica. I did this while helping my daughter with her homework and playing Elder Scrolls Online and reading over stuff on my phone (and at one point making sure my son pooped. It's a long story, but it ends with him not completing that quest.) Yay for multi-tasking! But really, skimming over a few pieces of information on the internet did not make me feel well-versed on the situation in Corsica, so I posed this question to the forum: It was a bit tongue in cheek, since everyone else was poking fun at the map and I wanted to get in on that. But it was also a legitimate query because we have a number of European posters here and the odds are they will have a better grasp of the situation then I can be expected to get from a wikipedia article. That's actually one of the beautiful things here, we tend to have people from all over the world that can answer rather obscure questions about all sorts of things. Anyways, I was fairly certain that someone would rise to the occasion and fill me in on the situation, and Amentep did not let me down with his clip from the Corsican brothers. Well played sir! I am not sure why I felt the need to write this up, but I figured I'd journal the thought process that goes on sometimes when I post. Right now I'm finishing my breakfast and have put myself about 10 minutes late to get out the door for work. Yikes!

It is a bit funny how easy it is to try and be an expert on everything while talking on the internet. Ah well, we all have our moments of insufferableness. Some more than others.
