  1. I'm pretty consistent at getting over 7 hours, but typically struggle to sleep more than 8. Since I upped my exercise a ton in the last couple years, I've found my sleep is much higher quality. Like, I wake up feeling the effects of that recovery time, and I'm ready to do stuff. Although a lot of times I fall asleep for an hour and wake up with tightness in the legs, and I'll be covered in sweat. I get up, stretch it out, grab a dry blanket, and fall back to sleep pretty easily. It's weird.
  2. I thought Barr came across very well. I'd like to think this whole thing will be put behind us now, but I'm sure everyone will find a way to spin it to fit their own agenda.
  3. Sorry to hear that Malc.
  4. I took the wife to see Shazam! It was a lot of fun, and had some great Tom Hanks Big moments. Bit darker than I expected, so probably best I didn't take the kiddos.
  5. Doesn't seem to be proper footwear or attire for climbing.
  6. What Christians are you referring to? Catholics tend to love their gaudy symbols.
  7. I doubt that cross is entirely gold though.
  8. Yeah, that's a problem with every company that has more than a handful of employees. Communication is difficult, what a revelation!
  9. Curry with the most 3's in playoff history. Crazy, he's probably got another decade left to play.
  10. I thought TLJ was a bit weak as well, but it still gave me a chance to take my kids to the movies and engage in some fun bonding over a universe and characters we have both grown up with.
  11. The Star Wars movie makes me think it will be a lot of fun to watch, but a lot of people will be upset because they take their space fantasy too seriously.
  12. Management company also wants to work in a way to raise the rent with every new lease. So they sign a lease for a year at $2480, but then raise it a couple hundred on the next year.
  13. After waiting impatiently for 2 days, I called up our property management office to get an update on our security deposit. They claim it was processed incorrectly, and they will be sending a $1700 check next week to make up the difference. Yay for not having to go to small claims court! Still a bit suspicious until the check clears.
  14. Rumors are it cost about 400 million to make SWTOR, so I'm not sure that it made that back right away. But all these financials are speculative, so it's hard to really know for sure.
  15. My list is a bunch of Harlem Globetrotters. Wilt Chamberlain ftw.
  16. Lots of opinions there, though. EA cares about the financials more than anything. EA likely views ME 2&3 and DA 2&3 as solid successes. KotOR cost a ton, so its unlikely it is seen as a success, although it did manage to create a stable income for a number of years. I'd say Andromeda failed financially, but it might have been cheap to make because of the cheap studio choice. I have no idea what is the deal with Anthem financially.
  17. Got the check from our security deposit from the place we just left. Out of $2750, we got back $108. We were there a year and there was only typical wear and tear. I expected them to charge a bunch for cleaning, but the $1680 carpet replacement cost is what I'm fuming about. It was a new house, new carpets, and we didn't have any major damage to it. We didn't even wear shoes or eat upstairs where the carpets were. But they want to sell these houses for a million dollars, so they need to be able to market them as brand new. Thankfully we took video before we left the place, so I figure we have a decent small claims court case. It's just a hassle. There are about a dozen renters going through the same thing, so I'm going to see if they are getting the same treatment and maybe we can put together something bigger.
  18. Del Toro's Hellboy is not affected by this at all.
  19. Watched Death Wish with Bruce Willis. I never saw the Bronson versions, so I'm not sure how much of it fit the mold, but it seemed like a pretty standard revenge flick. Willis is fun to watch as always. Actually it was a pretty good cast held back by a pretty basic story. Death Sentence with Kevin Bacon was more my style.
  20. Gotta adapt to its target audience.
  21. That's sad. I couldn't breath the first time I saw the scene when they wake up in the hotel room. I still have trouble getting through it without cry laughing. Honestly it is second only to The IT Crowd Season 2 Episode 1 for me in terms of debilitating laughter.
  22. I don't really consider The Hangover a trilogy, either. The first one is totally self contained and wraps up every story thread by the end. The second one is really just a repeat in a new locale, and even abandons certain storylines from the first that were important (Heather Graham and the baby!) It doesn't work as well because it feels like it has been done before, but again it is self contained. It could almost have a different cast and still be the same movie. The 3rd totally loses sight of the fact it is a comedy, and becomes a weird anti-Vegas experience (when the first was more of a celebration.) It's a bit more of a sequel in terms of continuing storylines from the first, but they were all unnecessary. So yeah, I ignore it and just enjoy the original.
  23. Wait, people dislike the first Hangover? That's super sad. Although I'd give the writers and actors a fair amount of credit over the director.
