I was just thinking of the new movie that was released the other day, the one that shows Kreia running off to stall Sion while the PC gets away. I also think I read it somewhere that the Harbinger will be at Peragus so maybe the PC goes back to find out why s/he wound up in the Kalto tank in the first place and this is where the meeting with Sion happens? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think you are rushing to reach the Ebon Hawk at that point .. because the Sith are arriving en masse .. and then Sion appears and Kreia runs off to buy the PC some time .. Maybe sacrificing herself, who knows (until dec 6) But I don't know if the Harbinger is on Peragus at that point .. The trailer has a short view of a republic ship full of corpses! maybe thats from the ship?

It said in a movie that the PC was aboard the Harbinger (funny name for a ship you were aboard before the game starts ) before Peragus .. but there is a screenshot where Kreia is lying, seemingly, lifeless on the floor and the text says something like "everyone aboard the Ebon Hawk are wounded are dying after the battle" ..

not in the OT .. he was pale as a ghost when Luke took the mask off .. of course he was dying and had just been zapped by the full force (lightning) of The Emperor.. It takes time to be twisted into a mockery of your former self! even though this happened almost immediatly in the game ..

you know this isn't a contest in posting most topics .. and just to be a prick, this has already been discussed to .. well its been discussed alot! -
why thank you .. Although I would prefer to be a philospoher by heart and not profession..

It was more than such a good movie .. It had alot to do with his infatuation of the Sith, and I used Jules revelation to illustrate the errors of this wicked way ..

Couple Of Comments On The Voices Of Kotor2

the music is actually stored in you temporary internet files folder (or what ever its called) .. as Dark.mp3, Light.mp3 -
i just love the fact that the Sith are so powerful, and they always look and talk cool. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yea they are pretty cool I jsut don't like that Darth Sion guy, I mean I thought I had bad acne but look at his face! :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> allow me to quote Jules from Pulp Fiction .. to give a respond to that remark .. There's a passage I got memorized. Ezekiel 25:17. "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you." I been sayin' that **** for years. And if you ever heard it, it meant your ass. I never really questioned what it meant. I thought it was just a cold-blooded thing to say to a mother****er before you popped a cap in his ass. But I saw some **** this mornin' made me think twice. Now I'm thinkin': it could mean you're the evil man. And I'm the righteous man. And Mr. 9mm here, he's the shepherd protecting my righteous ass in the valley of darkness. Or it could be you're the righteous man and I'm the shepherd and it's the world that's evil and selfish. I'd like that. But that **** ain't the truth. The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin', Ringo. I'm tryin' real hard to be a shepherd.

I think he meant in a more true meditation kind of way .. sitting down and reaching deep inside your mind and the force.. Thats what I thought at least .. All I want from an apprentice is his/hers loyalty, no need to bow .. just take that bullet when the time comes .. -
agreed, i mean i didnt want a argument, i just wanted a question answered even tho we were all fighting, we all prob agree that Kotor2 is going to be awesome <{POST_SNAPBACK}> hell .. I'll drink to that! cheers .. hehe

you took down the force field that sealed the temple .. so in an essence, yes ..But I remember something about "The One" was in control of the rest of the planet, which was a series of archipelagos, and they contained alot of old ruins with devices the "black" Rakata couldn't decipher .. they eventually heard of another race of Rakata who held the knowledge which enabled their race to use this technology .. not knowing they no longer had the ability to control the Force, he set off to conquer this last island and acquire the lost knowledge for his own purposes .. This made me think that the Sith would be VERY interested in the place, and the Jedis would be VERY interested in keeping it protected ..

oh yeah that movie by Lynch where Herbert "helped" by playing a creative consultant, but ended up killing the enitre movie with his stubbornes .. dreadful, couldn't bear watch it all the way through .. saw the mini series, and they were alright imo, but the books really rock! perhaps there is a parallel between the rise of Paul/Muad'Dib and his "fall" were he becomes distant and to a degree evil by the power he wields and to the rise and fall of Vader, Paul son eventually surpassed him as well.. hmm maybe thats a bit of a reach ..

You mean "chosen one" similarities? Except for that I don't see too many (except for futuristic settings) that coincide with SW .. But then again its some time ago since I read Frank's masterpiece .. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh, it's nothing. A lot of people go to some extreme lengths to prove that Star Wars was a complete rip-off of Dune. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> hmm .. heard about it, but never really found it to have much merit .. of course GL borrowed some Sci-fi and Fantasy themes, but to call it a rip-off seems a bit harsh imo ..

what is so annoying? a couple of words on your computer? Im not making you click on my thread. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> no but you are pushing the more interesting topics away ..
-
exactly .. my instincts tell me that they won't play any importance in TSL, but they really should, since their technology would be very interesting from a Sith point of view .. Ships only they could command etc.
-
im kinda lost, would you explain that again? The Rakata is an ancient race, and probably with alot of hidden secrets on their planet .. as Laozi mentioned mostly powered by the dark side .. and the force in general! They once "owned" most of the galaxy .. and now they have been rediscovered, what importance will this play in KOTOR2 ?
-
well its pretty annoying if everyone post the same thing every second day, simply because they didn't bother to go back a few pages ..
-
If you went LS .. The "party" for the liberation of the galaxy took place on the Rakatan homeworld .. So now they are probably well known through out the galaxy or at least to those who attended the final celebration! perhaps this will mean the Rakata will be reintroduced to the galactic scene.. And I wonder what consequences that will have? and if it will have any impact on KOTOR 2 .. it must be of some importance that you suddenly discover the history of an older galactic empire and their technology .. perhaps even a deeper understanding of The Force since The Rakata seemed to use it pretty extensively in their technology ..

yeah it was a bit corny .. and I never said otherwise!

if she is the 3rd sith lord she obviously doesn't want Sion to recognize her while the PC and the others witness it .. So if he shows up early she goes to have a little chat with him .. If she is his master, and make him back off and look like she saved the day! but I don't think she is, it would be to corny imo!
-
I will probably go with Sentinel/master on my first playthrough .. since, as many others have noticed, skills will be a little more usefull this time around! and probably with high intelligence and wisdom, because I like to use wits instead of Lightsabers .. And my next I will go Consular/Sith Lord .. and then the other classes until I have tried every combination!
-
I still don't have DVD drive .. although as soon as the majority of games get released on DVD I will purchase one! but I support that its released on both DVD and CD .. ps the argument that it will cut down on piracy doesn't make any sense .. because now you just have to rip 2 dvds instead of 4-5 cds.

Yes, only Lucas chose to portrait only the 'positive' side of samurai culture, if there was any at all. He didn't use as an inspiration the constant political intrigues in which samurai warlords were involved, and he certainly didn't consider the state of quasi-slavery that ruled feudal Japan, whose pinnacle were the samurai. In fact all that would apply much better to the Sith... About the swords, samurai would only get down to swordfighting as a last resort. A samurai's basic skill was supposed to be marksmanship, and they relied heavily on lances, a much more efficient weapon for mounted knights. Their swords were more of a symbol than anything else. I believe the word samurai itself has something to do with either 'rider' or 'archer', I just can't remember how exactly. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Since Wikipedia explains it perfectly .. I will quote them: Samurai is a common term for a warrior in pre-industrial Japan. A more appropriate term is bushi (lit. "arms-man") which came into use during the Edo period. However, the term "samurai" now usually refers to warrior nobility, not, for example, ashigaru or foot soldiers. A samurai with no attachment to a clan or daimyo was called a ronin (lit. "wave-man"). Samurai were expected to be cultured and literate, and over time, samurai during the Tokugawa era gradually lost their military function. By the end of the Tokugawa era, samurai were civilian bureaucrats for the daimyo, with their swords serving only ceremonial purposes. With the Meiji reforms in the late 19th century, the samurai class was abolished, and a western-style national army was established. The strict samurai code called bushido still survives, however, in present-day Japanese society, as do many other aspects of their way of life. Etymology: The word samurai has origins in the pre-Heian period, being derived from the classical Japanese verb saburau, meaning to serve or attend. It was not until the early modern period, namely the Azuchi-Momoyama period and early Edo period of the late 16th and early 17th centuries that the word saburai became replaced with samurai. However, by then, the meaning had already long before changed. During the era of the rule of the samurai, the earlier term yumitori (
