the point just were that in "A tale in the desert" every decision will affect the world around you .. your guild can have a huge impact on the development of the land and your teachings can also affect how Egypt will look further down the road .. since others will be able to learn the abilities you unlock, which in turn leads to new buildings etc. so that's an MMORPG where your decisions and presence have an impact!

to global_74: still there's no reason to be condencending! just makes you look like a total jackass! and then no-one will listen to what you have to say .. So if you want a discussion, great! start treating people with respect or you won't get any .. but if your here to simply post a monolouge and piss people off, then go somewhere else!!

depends on the degree .. my case is rather severe! and my choice of colour in clothes can sometimes be .. well.. rather amusing I guess.. which is why my gf always helps when we go somewhere fancy, which in turn leaves we quite vunerable if she's pissed at something! luckily the crowd I hang out with seems to enjoy that sort of thing, so many of them just think it's a personality quirk! but that said, black and white is never a problem, so if I'm in doubt, I dress black..

I think my maximum is about 120 .. without cheating .. (always play Consular, so I don't deal insane melee damage, but then again what's the point? enemies die no matter what .. ) and with force cruch I think I gave Traya about 450 dmg (can't remember specifically)

You're right. Although I work as a games reviewer, I've only tried.. 80% of them. But I still have to find a MMORPG where your actions influence the world around you in any way. But please, feel free to enlighten us with an example of your own. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A tale in the Desert ..

well I don't like turning all my companions into Jedi .. it feels really lame imo! I only take 1 apprentice.. But I think blasters were much better this time around! and since, apperantly, everyone has studied Martial Arts they don't even need swords .. ^_^

Come on the new Marvin is much better than the TV series version. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> oh absolutely no doubt about it!!! *shudders at the thought of BBC-Marvin* but still .. that little choppy thing?? looks more like a mascot from I.Robot ..

I'm just a HHGTG fanboy .. with a predetermined idea of how things should be! on one level I think it's absolutely fantastic that they make the film, so more people will realize (and hopefully read) this great piece literature! but on the other hand I had my own images .. and they are no where near what've seen so far .. which makes me sad ..

My main problem is the amount of computer animated sequences (with all the over-exagerated colours, why do they do that?).. man that will look cheesy in 5-10 years!! (then again, so does the Rancor puppet in ROTJ) but besides that I love the trailer .. and I really liked the second film (but I had a big problem with all that animated grass in the first one, it looked horrible), I think they captured the SW feel just fine .. and who cares about Jar-Jar? my niece was laughing and then so was I.. maybe you should take a kid to see the film? oh and here's a link to newcomers to the thread : http://movies.channel.aol.com/feature/star...er.adp?type=lrg

call me a cranky **** .. but I don't like the idea of TV version of HHG .. I mean the BBC version was atrocious, so a Hollywood treat could only be classified as blasphemy .. I thought it was great at first too .. but after reading more about it I'm getting a bad feeling about where it's headed!

yeah along with the new Hitchhiker's guide film! I think they are running out of people to annoy..
