Playing Galactic Civilizations II - The Dread Lords.. After a succesful skirmish against the Alterians I have turned my attention to the Iconian Refuge - their influence is growing and I can no longer ignore their presence.. So I have gathered a fleet of specially designed ships (just for them) .. since they have no defence against Lasers, but use them themselves. Just to be sure I have build alot of support ships, who utilize Missiles (and defend against them as well), if they should change their focus in weapons. The war will begin in two weeks.. (some of the details are lost in the JPGs, but I couldn't attach BMPs)

Happy Feet - The good outshines the bad .. It reminded me a bit of A.I. - But the ending was a really out of tune with the rest of the film imo, which made the film loose some points with me. Not a bad ending though, just kinda forced..

I didn't fight back that hard, but even so - it was an unfair match - since she wore weapons on her feet, while I only had natural strength to protect me - and I could only hold her down for so long.. hehe And are you trying to say that Norwegian girls are men? I take it you've never been to Norway then? They apperantly have some good genes up there because the large majority of them are actually downright beautiful! But dominant? This girl was. I haven't had that much experiance with Norwegian girls however, to say if that's a general thing.. ^_^ Also I would like to add that; since you are from Germany, perhaps you shouldn't speak too loud about maskulin females!

Happy New Year.. and it's a monday of all days.. no hangovers though - as always, just a slight headache from dehydration.. + I was scracthed and kicked all night (and morning) by a wild norwegian women .. so I have like a thousand cuts on my arms and hands from her stilleto heels.. those things are acutally quite sharp!! But damn it was a wild party! I was standing in the middle of a crazed fireworks war zone when the "ball dropped" .. trashcans flying everywhere - rockets coming down the street at full speed.. people dancing around on the street while cars where trying to avoid them and the explosions.. Guess I'll be living life in the ****ed up lane this year - if what we do, as the clock hits midnight, determins the rest of the year.. ^_^

I liked the accuracy of the Total Realism.. but I still found it unbalanced and less fun.. it was even easier to win as the Romans! which was incredibly easy to begin with.. no - I'll tjeck it out..

I never found a mod that I actually enjoyed more than the Vanilla version of the game.. simply because Mods tend to be just as buggy and unbalanced (and often even more), while not having the same graphical polish as the original. Maybe I expect too much...

This is an interesting notion - although false, humans are physically ill-adapted for life on most areas of Earth. We are quite capable of living in Africa without clothes or shelter. But we do need to make weapons, but this is simply because we deevolved our claws and strenght because of our use of weapons. Cunning took the place of natural resiliance. Still evolution and adaptability though. This doesn't say that we are predetermined to do something, simply that we are prone to conservative thoughts and actions. Which is another survival mechanism imo. This however could be used to argue that instincts and hardcoded behaviour has a deep impact on the concept of freedom of choice.. but it doesn't negate free will.

I'll make a thread in the new year, where we can keep scores on how long we've lasted..

Yeah but just imagine, for a second, the frustrated screaming horde of 12 year old "powergamers", who dies over and over again, because they can't hack'n'slash their way through the world! Aaahhh sweet music.. ^_^

It all depends on what you expect, of course.. But I'll like to see a WoD MMO, although I find it very hard to believe it will be all that good.. Since a "True" Vampire world would be alot more gritty than any company is willing to make these days. Troika did a good enough job in this deparment, but I doubt any MMO would be that bloody and/or violent. and how would they get around the whole "Final Death" element? it kinda kills the point of being a cautious Vampire, if you just respawn.. Time will tell though..

Is it that new guy with the cracy ideas on the structure of reality (well aren't they all, but you know what I mean) .. I've been reading some Heidegger myself revently - he's quite interesting, but very hard to read for a common guy like me! very technical! ^_^

I wish you could read Danish Meta.. there is an interesting book where (amongst others) Kirkegaard, Satre and Camus are compared, and their view points are discussed in order to find a modern interpretation of responsibility. both to the immediate self and others.. a very long essay that looks at subjects ranging from metaphysicality to geopolitical patterns. Kirkegaards studies of the bible are used extensively.

a MMO could go really bad really fast.. since the gameplay for WoD doesn't really fit how they've made MMOs so far imo. But then again - it could be awesome..
