Well I wouldn't call that a miss..

It does take som patience to get familiar with the game .. since it's a pretty steep learning curve - but it's a game that's still good even if you only play it once or twice a week.

have any of you tried Hearts of Iron 2 ? and if so, how does this game comapre to it? I'm a real big fan of these kind of realistic stragety games .. but most of them aren't that good imo.. and this game looks really interesting!

well since you can take control of a nation at about 1450 (ends in 1819)- and then get free hands - you can imagine how accurate it is (or should I say - becomes)! but the different starting ages shows, quite accurately, where the nations had colonies and which kings were in charge etc. + somewhat accurate how their internal policies were.. and the entire world is available for you to conquer - at least what was discovered before 1819..

well if you want to get technical - Democracy is an idea - And we all live in a Representative Democracy.. not a true peoples-rule, but close enough for it not to be labeled Dictatorship.. but it's a thin line, I'll grant you that.. edit: and even thinner after the Patriot Act and other legislations passed in the US..

so a dictatorship is a semi-democracy? but without elections? ^_^

Right now there's a small war being fought outside my window .. although they are only using small explosives (big fireworks) .. I wish I had that BAR - I would show them how a true streetwar is fought!!

damn .. that wasn't very nice of them! unless of course the guy was build like a brick house and his 50 gangster buddies was with him.. but even so, they should've at least tried to get you out of there by apologizing on your behalf.. Edit: about macho heroics - I didn't know his friends were there .. if I had, I would probably had gotten some help first!

But I can give you another story - if this didn't saturate your appitite? I was at a disco once with a friend (female) who got repeatedly hit on - which I thought she could handle herself though.. but at one point a big guy was being rather persistent and as she refused him (quite harshly), at which point he then pounded her right over the nose.. which of course made me go into a bloodfrency - I got an albow in (right on his nose) which took him out - but I hadn't seen his two friends.. who then beat the living **** out of me..

Since survival isn't much of an issue in modern society I would say morality.. I don't really worry about if I'm going to live through the day, but I do worry if my morality takes a hit, from time to time.. there are alot of temptations out through that door!

Good point taks.. While I would like people to question spoonfeed-morality.. especially when dealing with human beings - most religious spokesmen (in DK) are demonizing the prostitutes and not the reasons for them being in this situation - which is just silly imo! even if their religion says they are sinners, they could at least be humane enough to recongnize that some of these women aren't exactly doing this for the fun of it.
