  1. Isn't it well regarded in France, and you need training, and make a decent living? Or is that just an old tale American socialists tell?
  2. To hell with people who don't play games to read books. They can not read when they're dead!
  3. Why would you think that? Nothing has even been hinted at, and likewise has been denied multiple times by multiple people. This game is a new IP, and the Obsidian crew isn't enough into vampires to make their own while a Paradox deal with Bloodlines exists in the future. Some Fallout/Arcanum/barren waste fantasy journey is more up their alley. Because I was pretty sure that they had started planning Indiana long before news hit of Paradox acquiring White Wolf. edit: Look at my post count
  4. This is what I want more of. I want the engagement system to be more robust, more punishing. It's nice to have options like, the occasional safety hatch. I think escape and chase checks could be implemented to additional hold onto opponents who are particularly agile and cunning. But if you throw two rogues at a tank, one of them surely will be able to dash away again. Maybe the pure rogue get's away and the fighter/rogue "swaps" engagement with the near dying paladin (in the Indiana Jones esque sand back trick.) The summarize. Engagement. Engagement. And everything to expand and refine and improve those systems. Options, options and more. I've said it before. Engagement and tactical positioning control systems are the two killer features that I want to see expanded. I don't think I'd really be seeing them in Deadfire, but maybe down the road. Expansion maybe?
  5. Fable 2 was legit good. Microsoft seems a mess though. Instead of just taking their time to rebuild the series foundations after 3 ended up a cash in derivative, they opted to shill the IP out for novel-low-return experiments with the Kinect. So they gutted their studio that would otherwise make the Fable games. Now they are building it back up. If I have ever seen a company fail to grasp they laying of a foundation, it is that company.
  6. This post makes so much sense that it must all be true. *Crooked vampire fingers crossed.* I've been watching a lot of WILTY, and I concur. Must be true. Assuming Paradox is doing Werewolves first, which is the new bit of information that makes all the time-tables fall together just right.
  7. Hmm, I thought this was ridiculous enough that no one would take it seriously. I thought people took it as satire to the first wardrobe related comment. You're fine.
  8. I'm sure another refresh is coming, they always do them them to improve manufacturing margins.
  9. Well, I find that ugly. Aren't they also bringing out a white one?
  10. Yet with Fallout and Wasteland already existing, it seems they could wade into something more distinct. Execution is everything so I won't say it's a terrible investment. Bethesda is likely letting FO sleep to do their next TES. I was really thinking it would be their own Vampire IP though, or something totally else. Post-apoc was probably the last thing I had in mind. I certainly wouldn't mind a fresh take on a post-apocalyptic world. We've gotten nuclear wastelands, and various returns to nature. If they did something like return to classical civilization with a menagerie of modern artifacts that prop up weird new faiths. Sort of like what happened to Rasta's in Gibson's fiction, but take that an reclaim sort of Greek/Norse primal mythos in a post-fossil fuel world. I could really be into that. I'll keep an open mind. Also if you are wrong... well don't be wrong.
  11. Last I read it was actually mass deforestation. That predated colonial arrival.
  12. Hadn't even thought about that. I know there is also a new PnP game in the work called Cyberpunk Red (at least that is the working title.) It's apparently supposed to bridge some of the time line between where 2020 (and 203X) left off, and when 2077 picks up. It's aimed to launch around the game, so I can easily see them revitalizing the whole IP in that manner.
  13. I suppose its possible. Still seems a bit early to me. I'm anticipating a late 2019 or early 2020 release. They mentioned recently it's still over a year out, and they want to do a strong 4 month media push after the reveal to conclude in the game's release. Much like Fallout 4. I will buy a hat and eat it (because I don't own one) if Cyberpunk 2077 is released before 2020. I'm tempted to avatar quote, but won't since this place doesn't seem to stoop to such acts. Other than some preliminary work, and long term financial planning. Most of the actual rigging of the game started after TW3 wrapped up, so it's not like they've been working on it since that pitch trailer. While RDR2 on the other hand really has had a dedicated studio working on it for almost 8 years now. CDPR apparently have two teams and wanted to launch two titles by 2021. Which placed the releases roughly at late 2019 and late 2021. 2077 being that first mark, but I think they are going to miss it half a year. I don't even think running up against the big marketing campaigns of the annual giants is prudent either. They'll find a comfortable release window in early 2020.
  14. I think most of the Ghibli English dubs are really good. They are mostly handled by Walt Disney Animation. I've seen most in both English and Japanese dubs, and I don't really have a strong preference. But English allows me shut off the reading part of my brain and get more into the material. I think you're fine sticking with English and I'd even further recommend it for your particular tastes.
  15. I wonder if false alerts are somewhat common and are only now being reported on due to the political climate, or of there is something else going on. Is their system designed in tandem with the US or are they being set off by seismic activity, or is there really some sort of activity coming out of NK that is being tracked. It's all very odd.
  16. FMAB is a favorite of mine. Opening 1 and 4 always really get me. I've developed an emotional attachment to them. It's also one of the few shows that I never skipped the openings on.
  17. Nausicaa is a personal favorite of mine. I'm sure you'd enjoy at least a handful out of the rest of Miyazaki's films. Not sure what to recommend though, because you might enjoy that which is inline with Nausicaa or that which is more differentiated from it.
  18. I suppose its possible. Still seems a bit early to me. I'm anticipating a late 2019 or early 2020 release. They mentioned recently it's still over a year out, and they want to do a strong 4 month media push after the reveal to conclude in the game's release. Much like Fallout 4.
  19. ONLY if we get “silly walk” toggle. This is now a walking animation thread, everyone better strap in.
