PoE2 is an incredible game but with a plot that seems a prologue for PoE3
Deadfire prologue: - "Watcher, you have an incredible mision ahead" - "Nah, I must return to Caed Nuah and clean up all the mess there" The outcome at the end would have been the same. At least devs could have placed in Ukaizo a megaboss (a killable one, not like the other 4 megabosses). Anyway, I loved the sandbox experience of Deadfire.

The 3rd game was planned by obsidian. At the end the plot makes that question: what lies in the east? Seeing the "great" amount of devs' posts on this forum in the recent days makes me be more esceptical about a new Pillars of Eternity 3.

Megaboss 2: Giant Ooze Boogaloo
Enjoy Deadfire but don't mess with megabosses. They are nice to see but a complete waste of time to fight against.

Something I didn't understand about the ending
Ahhhh. Thanks for the fast explanation. Then in PoE3 we would have a hollowborn crisis again.

PoE2 is an incredible game but with a plot that seems a prologue for PoE3
I enjoyed deadfire in only one campaign (today I finished it) for mor than 200 hours. It has been an incredible experience. For me the plot is not a problem, even I liked the consecuences at the end, but I see the plot is like a small introduction for PoE3. What do you think? There will be PoE3 or not?

Something I didn't understand about the ending
I specifically gathered the closest we have to an official explanation in this article: https://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/The_Wheel Also, what house said. Ok, the Ukaizo machine has been working so many years that the natural process of the original Wheel doesn't work without the Ukaizo machine. But, once Eothas destroys the Ukaizo machine and the natural process of the Wheel doesn't work, how the newborn are filled with souls?

Megaboss 2: Giant Ooze Boogaloo
Megabosses are annoying to fight. One month ago I managed to beat Hauani O whe, only to see it splits into 2 huge oozes. Today, I tried again with a good strategy I kill Hauani O whe, and when I have all under control vs the 2 huge oozes, they fusion creating Hauani O Whe again with full HP. A pity they aren't well balanced.

Anyone knows how to trigger new combats at the crucible?
After beating the huge reptile Porokoa, and talking with Humaire, I had avaiable a new combat for defending my crown. I didn´t played it. I left Kazuwari and went to play the third DLC. Now, I've returned to the crucible to start the fight but it's not avaible on the list . Can I trigger (via console or another way) the dissapearing combat and see that it appears in the list of combats? Thanks in advance.

Am I forced to join Principi in endgame?
Well. That will be the story: to help the principi. Thanks to all for your fast answers. I started the game on may and I have played 195 hours and I'm at the middle of the second DLC. What a incredible game. You clocked 195 hours on one playthrough? How??? I have 291 hours and it includes 50 hours of beta, one full playthrough with DLC, one almost full playthrough without DLCs, and a good chunk of third playthrough. I don't know . I like to travel with the boat and read items, and I haven't had problems losing too much time repeating combats that I can't overcome. Now I have 210 hours played and only half of 2nd DLC. I started the campaign on may. I stopped playing until september when I started the first DLC and do some exploration. In december I resumed the campaign and I experienced problems with AI in combat and stopped. In february I did interesting combats and completed all exploration and half of 2nd DLC. Now I've stopped playing and I'll play the campaign for the 5th time later

Pillars III Speculation Thread
juanval replied to StrangeCat's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)It would be great that, if there is a minimal chance of a new PoE, someone of devs could drop a word here As you can see in the poll we voted sometime ago, the Living Lands was the winner https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/103574-poll-where-would-you-like-to-travel-if-poe-saga-continues/ I saw a lot of complains about the Vailians faction and the Deadfire setting. I love both but I recognize that in general, gamers prefer traditional medieval places rather than exotic places/cultures. I don't know if the lIving lands would have success in a sequel. Maybe Aedyr empire or Readceras are more welcomed by the players community. A new PoE with the same engine set in Readceras, a region ruled by strict religious laws, with inquisitors, heretics, etc, would be very interesting.

What Do You Think Microsoft Will Have Obsidian Work On? New IP or Existing?
I'm enjoying Pillars of Eternity 2 even more than Baldur's Gate series. Now I'm at second DLC and searching for scrolls/potions ingredients. More than 200 hours and I haven't finished. Let's hope a masterpiece like PoE 2 won't be the last of the series.

Am I forced to join Principi in endgame?
Yeah, this is the point I am now: the choice has been made and I cannot join other factions except Princpi, but, at that point, can I ignore Principi faction and go to Ukaizo alone without being involved with Principi? I don't want to help Principi If you reported back with the quest and they said that they will be waiting for you by the Ondra's Mortar then no - you will trigger endgame as an ally of Principi. Well. That will be the story: to help the principi. Thanks to all for your fast answers. I started the game on may and I have played 195 hours and I'm at the middle of the second DLC. What a incredible game.

Am I forced to join Principi in endgame?
Hello guys, I'd like to ask you one questionk, please answer without spoling the plot I've defeated Lucia Rivan and her crew and obtained her ghost ship. After that I've spoken with Principi chief (he wanted that ship in order to reach Ukaizo) and all the possibilities of joining another faction are closed now, and Principi faction is waiting for me in order to start the travel to Ukaizo. Can I go to Ukaizo alone or am I forced to join Principi? Thanks in advance

Which did you enjoy more, Poe or Poe2?
juanval replied to rjshae's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I prefer PoE 2. I love the feeling of freedom it has, the big city, the enviroment, factions, and a huge etc.

[v4.1.0.0023] Pathfinding of enemies broken at RtwP
I'm experiencing problems with enemies pathfinding. As you can see in the image in the next post, some of the enemies remain still, even one of them having my mage too close. When I move party member from the front to the rear of my group, enemies stop moving and sometimes choose another party member to attack or sometimes they remain still. I've been playing the same campaign ( I haven't finished it yet) during june-july and during december, and always the enemies found a way to surround the group easily. Now, I resumed my campaign and I see the enemies behaviour is so unrealistic that makes combats no fun.

What would you like for an hypotetical PoE3?
juanval replied to juanval's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I'm trying to finish my first campaign (140 hours at the moment) and the plot is very interesting but it seems to me TOOOOOOOO epic and too lore dense. The casual player can be overwelmed by all the amount of lore and text this game has. For PoE3 it would be interesting to explore a new region of Eora with a new level1 character, and try to solve a more mundane and less epic plot

Turn based and success
juanval replied to juanval's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)There is a solid community who like RtwP and will buy PoE3, the same way they supported Deadfire on fig. Is too soon to see if turn based combat mode is a success. It depends not only on the sales, but also on the resources Obsidian has spent. In case there is a PoE3, with the current mechanics developed in Deadfire, it's possible to see the 2 combat options avaiable. Edit: at this moment, Deadfire is at the 8th page of steam best sellers. In a few hours, all games change positions drastically.

Turn based and success
I like to see steam sales and, lately, I'm following Deadfire sales. Before turn based patch launch, Deadfire wasn't in the first 10 pages of best sellers. 2 days ago and yesterday Deadfire was in the 4th and in the 3th page. Today it's in the FIRST page . I'll see next days if Deadfire is able to keep this top position.

TURN BASED combat in Deadfire?!
juanval replied to Silvaren's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I'm not going to play Turn Based because I like RtwP, but, I'm glad to see that the general impressions of people who have played TB are possitive. Furthermore, I'm reading commentaries on different sites, of people who want to play Deadfire for the first time encouraged by the turn based combat.

Question to devs: content complete?
juanval replied to juanval's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Sure, it's dodgy, but everyone starts somewhere along the path of data-mining. It's usually harmless enough to take a claim at face value pending further info. Though, in this case, the user seems to be going out of their way to avoid explaining how to reproduce their work. It's extremely hard to hide stuff in Deadfire. For example, concealing levels is damn near impossible when they leave separate footprints in tile sets, enumerations, audio cueing, and 3D modeling. Should be easy enough to just say: "type this in the console to see what I found" Sorry for my bad english . Instead of "some member" I should have said "a member".
