  1. Ha! I think I've played too many online games already; At first I read the title as "In-game memorial for gold farmers". And I like that proposal:
  2. Especially if you think about the fact that for example Star Citizen's CIG made most of their pledge money by selling add-ons seperately, and by allowing their backers to "melt" anytime everything they already pledged back into store credits to then select something else, probably more expensive and pay the difference. Or is Obsidian already preparing to ship the physical items and had to lock our pledges permanently because of that reason? Oh well, joining the Obsidian Order is worth $8 to me, but not $43...
  3. Well, according to this posting, I probably won't be joining you any time soon: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/64737-update-69-pillars-of-eternity/?p=1398281 Sad squirrel is sad.
  4. The only time you can add an add-on is when you are managing a pledge. At some point in the future we may try to sell the add-ons separately, but we haven't seriously discussed a timeline for something like that. Hmmm... Okay, that's a bummer. Well, I guess this means "no Obsidian Order" for me then, any time soon. EDIT: For those searching for the original quote from above: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/64737-update-69-pillars-of-eternity/?p=1398281
  5. I agree. It seems highly unlikely to me that we aren't allowed to add addons after our pledges. Poor Obsidian must be drowning currently with support tickets about missing badges, forgotten addons, mistakes in the process and assistance with finalizing it. I sent a support ticket in two days ago, right after I realized my mistake, and now I'll wait and give them time to sort everything out.
  6. I believe so, just donate via paypal first, and confirm it on the backer site later. Would love to, but there is no donation button any longer; I'm always redirected to the pledge management page where I have to choose a game package before being able to proceed to the addons.
  7. I just read in a similar thread that someone succeeded with their Nokia Lumia. Maybe try your mobile device?
  8. Same here. Forgot to add the addon for the Obsidian Order and now I can't get it any longer without pledging additional $35 for a second game download...
  9. Hmmm... Let's assume someone like me forgot to add the $8 to their pledge and already finalized it. Is there a way to get only the $8 obsidian order addon as a second pledge?
  10. I hope the game gets released when it's ready. So if they decide in Winter 2014/2015 that it's not ready yet, it simply is not ready yet and I'll continue waiting patiently for its release. Good things come to those willing to wait...
  11. Did you try using Internet Explorer? I had the same problem with FIrefox, but with Internet Explorer it worked with the first try.
  12. Are you using Firefox? I got the same error when I tried finalizing my pledge with Firefox. I then tried it on Internet Explorer and it worked right away.
  13. I hope so. Since I tripled my initial pledge through donations after the Kickstarter Campaign ended (I was between jobs at the time...), it would be very disappointing for me if I couldn't connect everything into one big pledge. But as far as I understood the last update info on the Backer Site, we will be able to connect everything we pledged (or donated) to our account there.
  14. Here's an example of a backer site, that rolled out very shortly after the end of Kickstarter campaign. https://robertsspaceindustries.com/ Take special not about the "funds raised" value EDIT: Backer site is not just for the existing backers. EDIT2: And it's not a stupid question. 33 million?!! What the ****...? How is that even possible? That's more than 15 times what their Kickstarter made... where did all of that money come from? I've never even seen gaming press about this after the Kickstarter... Hehehe... Yep, that number is correct; I'm a backer there as well. And one reason for backers throwing that amount of money at CIG was the great tool they offered to manage ones pledges (add another ship ot it... And another... Hmmm, maybe the soundtrack CD, and that glossy map... Oh, a novella is nice as well! Ooh, that ships would be even nicer to start with!). So yes, having a good backer site is vital for continous generation of income through backers. Btw. that money ($34M right now) is all crowdfunded, no big investors, no publishers, it's all backer's money. Personally, I'm looking forward to the backer's site of Project Eternity, to finally connect all my smaller donations over the past months to my initial pledge. And maybe add a little something to get a nicer reward, or a soundtrack CD, or a novella, or whaterver they offer as additional rewards for a small additional pledge...
  15. I like the way CIG solved this issue on their website for Star Citizen: Once logged in, you have a complete overview over how much you pledged (section "Billing & Subscriptions") and what you'll get for it (section "My Hangar") once the game (or parts of it) goes live. The sad truth is that I would be inclined to back Project Eternity with even more money than I already did (i backed once and donated some more, or was it Twice?), if there was a better way to keep track of my donations than filing through Paypal logs... Cheers, Lythe
  16. So... I plegded only a smaller amount in the Kickstarter campagne but after that I donated additional funds: will my additional donations be added to my initial pledge? Just curious. Cheers, Lythe P.S.: I really do hope they finish the fulfillment site soon.
