Who also went astray by the economic downturn?
Gorgon replied to ouiouiwewe's topic in Way Off-Topic
I just ran out of SU, the government tit that has allowed me to work part time only in conjunction with studying. Now I'm faced with working full time the last year, which is also when things get the most intense. That means I have to get very lucky job hunting the next few months or getting finished is going to take a lot longer than 1 year. -
Well you won't have a 100 score or a perfect condition weapon until late in the game.

Alien blaster is 125 dps, fires 3 - 5 times faster in vats depending on feats. 1 shot per target, 2 or 3 for a deathclaw.

Assassin's Creed I remember the last time we discussed it here, consensus being that speed past the filler, and the assassination stuff is quite fun You can't speed past the filler. They strap you to your seat Clockwork Orange style and make you watch every torturous second of it every time you play.

Actually the older cheaper mini versions from Creative, the Zen micro series, support both, the menus are also completely customizable. Only problem is that their power supply is insufficient to use a set of proper headphones, only those ghastly earplug thingies. What would be cheaper than using software already produced. The one that broke from Samsung also had no problem browsing it's folders, only it was touch screen, which is seriously overrated. Give me proper buttons any day. I hated jumping around willy nilly constantly retracing my steps because my thumb was 2 millimeters off.

What does this mean but certainly it's a bit of a stretch to say that one of the world's economies most down the drain right now had a sound banking system. This but certainly it's a bit of a stretch to say that one of the world's economies which is [/i ]most down the drain right now had a sound banking system[/b] My keyboard setting is borked I can't write a question mark. I think it's fair to say that the entire banking sector is feeling the pressure, and that a stimulus package may not be deserved, but is necessary. When the economy is in low gear one may have no choice but to jump start it artificially, whether this is socialism or not is kinda beside the point. Without it recovery is going to take longer.

Why would that mean a more expensive product. Seems like a pretty simple implementation to me. We are not talking an entire OS for the player here, just being able to chose and play individual files by location.

I thought all the double headers were good, except the finale. Consider the 4 episodes of dicking around leading up to it. Maybe it's the time constraints, but the writers didn't seem to have a clue how to build tension, everything seemed contrived. Razor, the orginal pilot, pegasus+ ressurection ship, the one where they escaped New Caprica, those were the reasons I kept watching. As for the big ball and chain that was the plot, I always suspected that it might drag the last season down, I was no more disappointed than I expected to be.

hahha I gotta see this.

Which is why you want both folder and meta data sorting. I'm having to destroy a lot of original data just to get a rough handle on the files in the player.

I don't sleep until my eyelids start to feel physically painful, it helps to have the TV on to hypnotize me with boredom. When I do fall asleep I can clock 8 hours no problem. Got some new sleeping pills I'm going to test out. Unfortunately the rest of the world don't run on a vampire clock.

Big guns blow in Vats, but then Vats is a bit boring compared to real time barbecuing. My preference is small guns, explosives and energy weapons. The energy weapons don't need to go that high, their damage once you get plasmas and whatnot make up for it, and of course the Alien blaster is almost automatically your most powerful weapon regardless of stats. The lazer pistols are a waste of time though. The perk that raises big guns by 15 is useful, that way you can find them, use them, and toss them, conserving ammo and carry weight, while that is still an issue.

Ipods are nice, they just cost about half and again what they ought to.

Sometimes I wonder if these high profile security threats are made and released by the anti virus companies to boost their sales.

I though they got progressively more conservative and jaded about the prospect of changing the world around them.

I manage by having a lot of buttons on my mouse. I don't get whats so hard about making everything re-mappable though. It's a mystery why all games don't allow it.

I have figured out how to batch change the data with Mp3 tag. Thanks for the offer though. Pretty silly that they would have such a poor understanding of customer needs, I mean everyone's music collection, at least that I know, is one big mess of metadata. Metadata is surely not enough for browsing your collection. Maybe the supplied \Media Centrale' provides some solutions, but I can rarely get it to run more than a minute before crashing.

At least I don't have a mortage, why is that spelled 'mortgage'...

You forgot to declare that snitch you whacked for the Colombians last year, you are in big trouble mister.

Nope, it has to be a file created with the crappy crash ridden proprietary software called 'Creative centrale', or the player itself. The only playlist the player can create are made from the 'now playing' selection. So if you want something specific you would have to add songs one by one from the 'all tracks' list to your currently playing list, and then save it as a playlist. The next time you add something you would have to wade through everything on the player again to organize it. For now I have found a workaround with Mp3 tag, which is not exactly user friendly, but free and open source. It took me half an hour to figure out how to batch strip and batch rename the album metadata, which is not exactly a perfect solution either, I mean that data is nice to have. Maybe I should organize via the 'genre' data which is pretty useless and superfluous anyway. Too bad my Samsung broke, it used open source codecs and could play any file from any location in the player by browsing its own folders. This thing has a 'purchase this track' menu option for any file regardless of whether it is DRM restricted or not. It's like they can't get away from the wet dream of consumers going on a shopping frenzy in their crappy online store the minute they get the player. Everything is designed around it, and it makes for a poor product. Software wise at least, I can't complain about the technical quality of the player. It even has a hard reset button, which most manufactures are too arrogant about their own code to include.

From what i gather, with their blend of Katakana, Hiragana and Kanji, is that there are no commas or whitespaces within a sentence. Very difficult for a westener to read. There's commas, which they would like to regard as having rules. The truth is they sprinkle them around with no discernible regularity. In English commas make it easy to recognize dependent clauses, etc. they serve a purpose, are dependable...

So, long story shorter I went down to exchange a broken mp3 player and was limited to what they had on show in the store, I ended up with a Zen X fi 8 gig player. It sounds just fantastic and has a longer battery life as well, only problem is like Itunes or mediaplayer it decides upon installation that I must now spend 12 hours categorizing my entire music library into artists, albums and genres because the idiot onboard menu does not know how to open and play a folder. My collection is years and years of CD rips and downloads in random order and formats, but all neatly arranged in folders and sub folders with artist and album names. The player cannot sort other than by metadata, so if I want to listen to anything and not have 500 tracks with 400 different kinds of meta data scattered in the player I have to create album metadata from the folder names. Is there any way to batch process this. There are a few tools that are free or trialware but they seem to lack the features I require. Any advice would be appreciated.

Who puts TWO commas right in the middle of a main clause for no other reason than to screw with you. You guessed it, the Japanese.

Worked on a japanese translation in an extremely convoluted literary style, violently threw my photocopied original text behind the couch. I'm hoping it will spontaneously disappear and I won't have to deal with it tomorrow.
