Don't ever compare the movie and the book on equal terms, they are different species. There is no way you can do a 600+ book justice in two hours, and you shouldn't try to be 'true' to the book. You should simply make the best movie you can.

This was done with the long term strategic aim in view, and because there was sufficient military adventurism to make it possible. The Irony here is that Iran is a much greater threat now than Sadam was at the time, but now that willingness to military engagement is long spent, and of course there is no pretext to invade Iran. If we are going to start invading every country actively seeking nukes the list is very long. While some of these long term strategic goals may have made sense at the time the reason given to the public was the one they could sell best, hardly the most important one.

Actually you can't, it's mostly trial and error, especially with spells. Not only that, the descriptions are often inaccurate, look up an unofficial guide to the talents and spells and you will see lots of mismatches between the description and the actual effects. On your first playthrough with only the descriptions to guide you, you won't have a clue, and there is no way to unlearn one in favor of another. They really should have put that in.

I can't remember, does addiction eventually go away. I'm down to 3 strength and it's seriously hampering my shooting. Apparently you get a penalty for not having the required strength to fire a weapon, which I think is pretty stupid, but I'm not going to restart just because my strength is 4 rather than 5 or 6 which lets you use all small arms without penalty. Ligth addiction also gives you a bonus to perception which actually helps shooting. Is there anyway to increase your ability scores, perks, books, special stuff ?

I played through all the openings, only finished one game all the way as mage. Dwarf definately had the most promise. I think the main quest eventually times out and my tribe dies of starvation, can't be long now.
