Imagine if you could access every book ever submitted to a library for a minimal fee.

You would think they could just let the store burn a copy for you rather than lose a customer. In a lot of ways we are still doing business like it was the 80s in computer games.

What's the point of pre ordering PC games. They print 'em according to demand. Actually running out of copies must be pretty rare. Seems to me it's more intended as a sales ploy, get the ball rolling early.

But they are lists !. Lists must be engaged.

As far as I can recall it had something to do with the high level spell effects. If you didn't install the wide screen mod they would have graphics glitches.

What annoyed me about the PST fix pack was that it forced the resolution mod on you. I could barely see what was going on because the avatars were so tiny. Don't think the game was meant to be played in anything more than 640x800

It all sounds so good in the planning phase, and then 10 years later we are still picking up the pieces.

Not exactly J.E's finest hour, that was his writing yes ? Mostly remembered as that annoying NPC with lengthy dialouge who would appear before several major battles. Much of the nuisance I think comes with having both a predictable 'surprise' and a linear game. Maybe Melissan could have worked if she wasn't so front and center, always providing an explanation.

'Nazis' They are everyone's favourite villain, with no specific ties to computer games. As an experiment I flipped through the list and noted the villains I could remember more about than their names . 14. Hell, I take pride in not knowing anything about the Super Mario universe.

A comparable military response would end in war and the North holds the population of Seoul hostage. The North boasts an estimated 13000 artillery pieces, the largest concentration anywhere in the world, already dug in and pointing at the South's cities. There is no effective counter against such a threat against the civilian population. The South would win with their American allies but the cost would be incalculable. This is where the North's supreme confidence comes from. They know that starting a war is unthinkable for the South since its leaders are obliged to actually care what happens to its citizens.

Actually you can do everything in one installation with the Ubuntu boot disk. I did, didn't cause any problems. Although I did feel rather nervous while the partitioning was taking place during install. If it locks up then well then you lost everything on the disk. There is an option to boot off the install disk without making any permanent changes though.
