  1. He's a likeable guy I guess. People don't want to think he's an ass, or perhaps take more convincing than ordinary.
  2. They've tweaked it. Whether they fixed it or not in your opinion, I don't know. What was wrong with it, except that the animations don't really look that current up close.
  3. I prefer not having to have steam forced on me, but, at least you can stop it from running relatively simply. There are pros, for instance if you are not very organised like me your game disks slowly disappear one by one over the years. I suspect the little people under the stairs. Point being, they can't get into my steam account.
  4. BG1 8/25 joinable NPCs correct. Although neither Kargain or Jahira were accepted. Kargain is joinable, you do that kobold stomp with him although he eventually leaves. BG2 You got 14 out of 16 NPCs from Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn. Missed Cernd and Her - whachamacallit, but only because I had no idea how to spell his name. They're both tossers who make you feel a small explosion of joy when they miss a disintegrate save and perma - die, so I have no problem with that. Couldn't remember any factions other than the Dustmen and the Sensates, so I decided to stop there.

Is he really a pedo though, or just a horny bastard who didn't care. I mean, you don't stop being attracted to children do you. If he was one she could not have been the only victim, and keeping it a secret all these years after fleeing prosecution. I dunno.
  6. I'm actually a bit saddened by my own negativity now, but it's like breathing to me, I can't really help it.
  7. There are mountains and mountains of manureous writing out there, but good art is good art. Hard Boiled was a primitive ripoff of Blade runner but it still managed to be good. Once in a blue moon the two come together, but I'll settle for excellence in one or the other. Yes, I know that's not a word. I suppose I'm being rather unfair seeing as how I haven't seen the finished product. But... if it can't sell on it's own but has to be a deluxe collectors edition bonus, that could possibly tell one something.
  8. Dagon probably attended an advanced class at some point, but judging by his skill in explaining it he probably can't remember that much.
  9. I vote Empires. Not much replay in Napoleon and they make you buy a lot of units as DLCs, it just gets to be more chiselling and more greed than I can stand. First you buy the game, and then you buy everything that was missing from it.
  10. Well if I can teach them not to try and sell me Super Mario Cart 15 while I'm browsing steam I'll be a happy man.
  11. I wish Taks was still around. I would much enjoy watching him lay the smack down in this thread.
  12. why do we need to include non lottery players. Isn't it understood that the odds don't include non lottery players, or Martians for that matter.
  13. Of course you know this means war. Krezak vs Dagon in the playground after classes.
  14. Look, it's pretty simple. None of the lotteries stack with each other or interact in their probabilities in any way whatsoever, they are each separate calculations, separate results. This is where that 'dice have no memory' thing comes in handy.
  15. Now of course if we view the course of Chuck's life as a singular event and have no result unless Chuck wins exactly four lotteries, then the odds become astronomical.
  16. I think most of us are getting there
  17. I must be a horrible comic fan because I think this sneak peek is uninteresting. I love the guy, Geof Darrow, very distinct style. Why would anyone want to stand in line to have it signed by Chris Avelone. Just sayin', they better put them by the same desk, otherwise the line by Chris is going to be very short indeed.
  18. Dice have no memory. Someone probably said that already, but it's an important lesson in remedial probability mathematics.
  19. Soooo.. snow globes. Slow news week.
  20. That's no different than most DRM schemes, including most that use CD checks.
  21. It has to do with logon information which is saved to a special file in offline mode. If it can't reach the servers the moment you go off-line it can't write the file and it does that. As long as the file was saved properly you can be offline as long as you want. Yes, it's pretty sucky.
  22. If you use a keyboard without letters it teaches you not to look at the keyboard while typing. Walsh is probably just taking a bit long in getting there. By the way I typed this without looking at the keyboard.
  23. Oral consumption of drugs also tends to be kinder on the brain, and less addictive (psychologically in this case) due to lasting longer and thus less redosing. You may want to leave off doing that with the turd - hash. Can't really explain to those who didn't get it.
  24. I didn't like Dragon age 1# that much to begin with. Nothing I hear about Dragon age 2# tells me it's going to be better. One thing they could do... get rid of the setting the, Nobles, the Knights and the Blight, and start over. It was just stupid and un-inspiring, maybe with the exception of the Dwarf cities.
