Must be absurdly high salaries and very lengthy production times. You would think it would make for better games, but no. A fitting analogy would be the Hollywood blockbuster. Rarely ever a good movie, but packed with so many stars, effects and with so much of an advertising budget it will stream roll its way to the top of the charts regardless. I wish it was as easy to make an Indie game as an Indie movie, but this is obviously not the case.

Well, you only have your steam games as long as there is a steam. If you have a game with an old fashioned CD check you could probably get that game to work in 10 years with a little tweaking. That's not strictly owning anything. It's more like long term borrowing. If you are really interested in a game though, I don't see the fuss. Why limit yourself.

I got one of these. 999 e. and then another 20% on top for duty and Danish VAT and god knows what. Ridiculously expensive, but compared with what else is available it really is a superb imput device.

It may be a gateway drug for some, but I would suggest that those are people with a genetically high likelihood of winding up in some kind of drug abuse situation regardless. It depends I suppose on what kinds of circles you move in while smoking cannabis. In my experience there was no overlap but rather a well defined hash culture which effectively resisted heavier drugs. It's my feeling that the gateway thing is most likely bull****. I certainly can't think of any real life examples. The depression side effect is true, I know several people who had to stop as a result, and even one who couldn't and took anti depressants while he was still smoking. Kind of defeated the purpose. The thing to remember here is that it is probably one of the easiest drugs out there to kick and that if you experience adverse effects it's eminently likely that you will.

Yes, there are problems for people who use too much, same as alchohol, I thought we covered this already. All I can say is that I'm pretty underwhelmed by your so called personal experience of these things. Speaking as someone who has lived the majority of his life in an environment where hash usage was the norm.

What are you saying, that science does not back up to a large degree that hash is less dangerous than drinking or smoking. I would certainly take issue with that. Taking drugs that alter brain chemistry has been a part of the human experience for as long as one cares to go back. The track record of cannabis as a recreational drug is pretty good over all. What exactly is the relevance of either the Zulus or the number of active ingredients. It wasn't even clear if you were differentiating or not. Where I come from 'dope' means heroin. Is that what you were talking about ?.

I don't know if hash robs you of your ambition, but it's certainly possible it may makes you feel that everything is already irie so why bother challenging yourself. We all lie to ourselves about how successful we are and how close we are to realising our dreams, this is a healthy delusion though, if you didn't wake up thinking that everything is possible and that things are more likely to go better than worse you are adding yourself to the list of things that need to be overcome. I think it's possible for your sense of deferred gratification to get muddled with hash, and you absolutely need it to succeed in anything. I guess I'm like most of the smokers I know, I indulged rather heavily in my 20s and slowed down to a couple of times a month. Doesn't hold the appeal it used to, but I can still get into it once in a while.

Your friend probably smokes too much, or the wrong kind. I have long been a proponent of the 'high light', where you still have your wits about you and aren't going for snacks every 5 minutes.

My dad had a quite successful career as a writer and I don't remember ever seeing him work when he wasn't high. Just sayin'. It helped him concentrate by blurring out everything else.

You may not agree - well, you DON'T agree - but getting stoned is all about pushing your brain chemistry in ways it wouldn't normally move. It moves people and not always in good ways. Rather like alcohol its effects depend on who is taking it, when they take it, and why. It can interfere with work itself, it can affect motivation, it can lead to over-relaxation and neglect of important functions... like bloody showering if memory of university serves. I find it relatively easy to relax so I don't touch the stuff. I mainline coffee to work, and inhale the ale to socialise. These things balance, and I think in other people dope helps them balance. But if you use anything inappropriately then you become imbalanced and that CAN be problematic. I think your personal experience of hash users has skewered your perception to an unreasonable degree. It does not impact work performance unless it becomes a daily thing. Sure not every one can keep their usage in check, but that's not really what we were discussing. Potheads smell like the clothes hamper, drunks smell like what they had to drink this week. That's neither here nor there.

I wish they had gotten an Englishman to write the dialogue, it's full of double superlatives and superfluous adjectives. It's like they were aiming for a tone that doesn't really exist.
