  1. Hmm, how enlightening.
  2. Yep, easily.
  3. That's why I a) switched to Steam (but increasingly publishers are putting up rubbish Australian prices on Steam), b) wait a few years till the game is cheap. But I'd like to support Obsid and buy the game when it comes out. That's difficult when the publisher wants to rip Australians off for a few extra bucks. I highly doubt our disposable incomes are 50% or 100% larger than those of Americans.
  4. What makes you think I'm willing to pay an extra $20 or $30 just because I'm Australian? The dollar is at parity with the USD, there's no shipping cost... How ridiculous and rude. I'll just import the game from America.
  5. Just so you know, that's absolutely ruining your body.
  6. Get a job that forces you up at 8 or 9 am every morning so that a) consistent sleep patterns, b) healthier sleeping hours for your heart and brain, c) you have the rest of the day to go out and be productive. Jog for 10+ minutes every day or second day (this is purely for your mental health, I'm sure you already know how to lose weight). For maximum benefit, do it at the start of the day. Really wakes you up and gets endorphins pumping. Sets the rest of the day. And obviously stop eating the junk food.
  7. Not one I want to think about too much. Looks like a bunch of MPs from both the upper and lower houses of parliament were also killed. Imagine if something like this happened in Australia - Glenn Stevens, Kevin Rudd, various generals and heads of the military and special forces, as well as random Senators and ministers all dead in a day. There would be by-elections all over the place that's for sure, and our economy would crash temporarily.
  8. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/...d-in-crash.html Poland's president, central bank governor, as well as the holders of the following military positions were all killed in a plane crash en route to commemorate victims of Stalin: chief of staff, head of operations, head of land forces, commander of the air force, special forces chief, and vice-admiral of the navy. Many other high-profile figures in public and private office were killed in the crash (130 people in total). Kind of insane.
  9. Can we figure out a way to blame Canada for this, guys?
  10. Yeah, I gave it a 50/50 survival rate. It's not like it's a wasted effort. The story, plot, character assets are probably quite re-usable.
  11. It is unethical, though.
  12. The kernal is Linux and the GUI is a mishmash of KDE and Gnome. North Korea owns any branding or art assets, nothing else - it is open source (not that I expect them to adhere to that).
  13. But that is the case in the U.S. too. The bar is just a lot higher (lower?). Utilitarianism. Ever heard of it?
  14. That is comforting.
  15. That is freaky.
  16. Nothing wrong with hippies. The New Doctor Who was pretty decent. Dare I say more enjoyable. I like Stephen Moffat.
  17. Man obyknven is annoying. I can deal with brainwashed young kids but I can't deal with them spamming threads with horribly long risible rantings from conspiracy websites and authoritatively stating they are fact. Incidentally, has lord of flies been seen lately?
  18. No wonder I haven't heard about it... big friggin' deal. Since when is calling someone a 'freak' racist? I'm beginning to think you are a freak for your nutty ideas. Ahmedinejad is a bigot and a liar and you compare him to someone who calls the President of Turkey a freak!? I've called my own President worse. Not only that many world leaders have spoken badly of the U.S. Guess, what, I don't foam at the mouth and call racism or chant lets invade their country. I didn't when it was a President I liked either. As for the situation in India, it is hard to judge from that link. India has had problems for years. http://www.gendercide.org/case_infanticide.html I do find it ironic that someone from Istanbul, Turkey is judging India as far as mistreatment of women goes. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/feb/0...ed-alive-turkey http://honorkillingislam.blogspot.com/ http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/eu...ing-871822.html Hahahaha oh man. Best post in a long time by far. ****ing shutdown!
  19. Oh man that was an intense time. I was feeling pretty **** about the situation with my girlfriend so I chewed some seeds with LSA in them after removing all the cyanide coating. Similar to LSD but legal and weaker. Still amazingly intense, but mostly joyful and funny. And it was cathartic. We talked a bit.
  20. You're also forgetting that Putin placed corporate power in the hands of a select few friends, Tigranes. If you ever hear somebody complain about America being controlled by corporations, they should take a look at Russia. This can not be at all good for Russia's future.
  21. Something better to do like, maybe, live in Australia?
  22. KGB simply to protect our country from the enemy. Exactly. If by 'the enemy' you mean 'ordinary Russian citizens', that is.
  23. No comment?
  24. New errors popping up: many Australians are unable to connect to any servers to play their single player game: http://www.fragland.net/news/Ubisofts-DRM-...d-victim/22874/ Ubisoft says they're "getting to the bottom of it". The bottom of it? I can tell you what it is: many Australians have ****ty, slow internet connections you corporate arseholes, and that's not something you can fix without getting rid of your ****ed up DRM.
