  1. Yeah. In other words: it was realistic. I think some people are used to FPS aiming where high energy particle scientists can pick up rocket launchers gauss guns and immediately know how to fire them 100% accuracy at small, fast moving headcrabs. The Deus Ex system is the best thing available when you want to introduce RPG stat elements into the game because it's still based on your skill. Bloodlines's system was atrocious (auto-aim, and your chance to hit randomly decided) - you could shoot point blank and still miss.

    I don't have that problem.
  3. Your loss. It's one of the best around.
  4. Ours just passed a bill placing something like a 100% tax on 'alcopops' (soft drinks with alcohol in them) because "think of the children". Apparently this will stop binge drinking, because teens aren't smart enough to buy a far less expensive bottle of boubon or vodka + lemonade or coke.
  5. What is communism? Seriously, answer it.
  6. Yeah the black guy looks freaky.
  7. My GF is not a fat guy in a thong.
  8. Not a lie. There has never been a good MMO. Those that had a shred of worthiness (and at this particular moment in tim I'm basing this off of the E3 trailer of TOR) all brutally murdered good franchises, thusly failing. MMO's are some of the most successful computer games of all time. If I was, say, Blizzard, I'd be pretty happy with my 'failure'. You don't need an MMO to brutally murder a franchise. Franchises are overrated anyway. If something has been round long enough to become a franchise it has probably already been brutally murdered and looted for spare organs.
  9. It's not an online check - there's simply no LAN capability. If you want MP play, you need to go through B.net.
  10. I just calculated it. You can fit 374.713724 Israels inside Australia.
  11. You're right, it's probably more like 1000 Israels.
  12. Best solution is to throw it out and buy a PC.
  13. t Aristes, they specifically said they are removing LAN to "combat piracy". Look up Bashiok's post on it.

Did you know 64-bit Vista is Identical to 32-bit Vista? They just turned off some features in 32-bit so they could sell them as seperate products for license reasons. Typical Microsoft. http://www.geoffchappell.com/viewer.htm?do...ense/memory.htm
  15. I love Europeans.
  16. Tiny. Check it out on a map. You could fit something like 100 Israels inside Australia. We can call Monaco 'miniscule'.
  17. The majority of role-playing in AP happens in conversations, where guns are out/holstered/aimed/whatever depending on the context of the conversation. OK, while I'm still bummed, that little tidbit sounds pretty awesome. Does that mean that during conversation Mike might suddenly pull out his gun and aim it at somebody when conversation isn't going his way, or when he wants to intimidate somebody?
  18. Um, no offence, but your post reads like a rant at someone, yet but nobody has even responded to your previous 2 posts in this thread. Nor was anybody getting angry or going 'message board cowboy' over the things you mentioned. O.o
  19. Yeah, I agree with you. You can replay Diablo 1 these days and still have a ton of fun because the fundamental dynamics of the game haven't aged (and the atmosphere is awesome, and the music and sound are amazing). I wish they'd kept a lot of that for Diablo 2.
  20. England itself and as a whole is full of ugly inbred idiots wearing football shirts as a fashion statement. The middle classes don't like the working classes to have fun, as it gets in the way of them feeling superior and appear caring. That's why Labour are against fatty foods, pubs, and um... er... I'll have to think of a third thing later. Oh yes, drugs! MAKE POVERTY HISTORY! CHEAPER DRUGS NOW! It's weird hearing somebody use the terms "middle class" and "working class" to mean different things. Here in Australia the resources boom shook class system up and then sat on it.
  21. LOL they have changed it back to the original. http://www.microsoft.com/poland/businesspr...ty/default.mspx
  22. Still, Diablo 1 managerd to have seperate death systems for SP and MP. One could argue Diablo 1 was designed for SP play, though.
  23. Playing Diablo 2 on HC removes half the arseholes from the game, gives the game a new meaning after you've played it 1000 times, and slows the pace down - rushing doesn't make much sense in HC for instance. The people you play with in Hc are just generally more interesting, helpful, and fun to play with. Also, less kids. I know when I was 14 I stayed well clear of HC. I was thinking "Who the hell wants their character deleted when they die?"
