  1. This may sound a little...whatever... but for now it looks like the Russians are really trying to avoid civilian casualties. Then again it may only look like that, I guess we will never know for sure. But guess in the end it doesn't matter at all, because the best way would have been not to invade after all.
  2. One thing that I'm wondering, do Ukrainian soldiers know how to use the equipment they are being sent?
  3. Oh wow, I've seen none of those. Then again I wasn't going out of my way to search for the stuff.
  4. I saw a video of a tank being destroyed in the morning titled "Ukrainian tank being destroyed", in the afternoon that same video was titled "Russian tank being destroyed". Until this situation is over and we see the end result, it's going to be very hard for us to know what is happening. I know we have a couple of armchair generals here that seem to have spycams in Putin's office and are following his emotional state and mood by the hour, but I wouldn't hold my breath on any news coming out of Russia and Ukraine being true.
  5. Serbia, in it's official statement, condemned the Ukrainian invasion and supports its territorial integrity, while drawing parallels between the 1999 NATO aggression and what is happening now in Ukraine. Saying all that, it will not impose any sanctions on Russia. To translate: The US embassy: "The US salutes the reinforced attitude of Serbia and it's president in their support of the Ukrainian territorial integrity which has been violated by the illegal and unprovoked attack by Russia". Russia: "Thank you Serbia". The Serb at the top: "They must be ****ing with us".
  6. Video of a hit helicopter going down. Very probably Russian. https://t.me/Novyna/13088
  7. I really hope so...
  8. Nope, I imagine that they don't want to use them in complete chaos of an opening of the invasion where they probably have 0 control over them. Tbh, I don't know how much control they will have at all apart from setting general objectives.
  9. Things are going to get very ugly when the Chechens arrive...
  10. It is, it was just filmed from a different angle.
  11. ****. That was horrific to watch, no mercy on either side. The guy in the car was alive when they were trying to remove him from the wreckage.
  12. That looks fake as all hell.
  13. But how would they pay for the gas if they cut them off from SWIFT? The dollar must flow.
  14. That would mean the least amount of victims and damage. He doesn't need anyone else to recognize the agreement, he just needs Ukrainian's to follow it. They can do what the US did, plop a Bond Steel in east Ukraine and have a military presence there.
  15. I am not seeing the people of Ukraine being very willing to fight, it's a mass exodus right now, nor do I think he is dumb enough to believe that he can hold Ukraine. Best case scenario is that this ends quickly with surrender and that they sign the demilitarization agreement. I mean being defiant is all well and good, but all it got us was a destroyed infrastructure and 3 decades of economic setback and we were in a much better position as far as military was concerned.
  16. I guess they can start bombing civilian and civilian infrastructure targets like it was done in Yugoslavia/Serbia to make them surrender fairly quickly.
  17. Every country has contingency plans, against allies and foes, the closer the threat the closer the preparations come to fulfill those plans.
  18. What was not in the media in the previous weeks was Ukraine shelling soft targets in the Donetsk area, but this is not really new when we look back a couple of years so it shouldn't really change the situation. In my opinion what changed is the amount of arms being injected in to Ukraine, a hundred and twenty something Abrams tanks is nothing to sneeze at and whatever else was potentially coming. Maybe he was simply losing control of the situation and decided to rip the bandaid off, or he was confident that this would be a net positive situation. Whatever it is the whole situation is a sad affair.
  19. Problem is that in some countries we call it Nationalism and in others we call it Patriotism...
  20. Are they going in full force or just light infantry? I saw some twitter videos of tanks rolling in, but don't know if that was really in Ukraine.
