I can join the arm crippler club, I broke my left elbow joint when I was a kid (tried to ride my bike across a frozen lake) couldn't fully bend my arm for 3 years. But now its good as new, probably even better. Anyway, been mountain climbing to make a few photos of the colorful foliage and to enjoy the still warm sun. Being far away from any civilization is awesome. Also I had no mobile phone connection whatsoever, which is funny considering I had perfect connection everywhere in Iceland, even on the glaciers.

I'm way more aggressive and angry in the Internet than I'm in real life, I think its partly because people tend to show much less respect and display an annoying amount of unnecessary cynicism everywhere compared to real life conversations, also lack of body language is bad too. If people behaved like that in face to face conversations it would end in smashed faces in 8 from 10 cases. I vastly prefer face to face chats over telephone calls or discussions in forums, those are more productive and usually people don't end up calling each other scumbags and whatnot. When I visit a forum I'm already expecting to see trolls, stupid crap and generally rude individuals so I'm pissed off right away.

Today I received a parcel from Germany containing 500 .69 cal grains heavy lead projectiles for one of my muzzle loaders. You should have seen the face of my mailman carrying a little shoe box weighing more than 25 kilograms. I should have told him that it contained weapon grade Naquadah. Or a very little neutron star.

I see shooting without aiming is in fashion again, if anyone gets killed in those middle eastern battles its by accident. Its not surprising that they always run out of ammo so quickly.

This looks extremely dangerous, which makes it even more awesome.

I agree, the Music in ME3 was excellent. I especially love the Mars and Creation themes.

Not having any food at home and having to expose yourself to a thousands of possibly infected people every week is not a good thing in my book, if you can even get any food because of the hoarding. Canned food, noodles etc. worth half a year at home is good even if it does not last long enough, it still minimizes exposure, and what if it does only take a couple of months till the worst is over?

Yes I know, I did my time in the military, but if you really think that PT in the military is a good example of great physical training then I seriously ask you if you are joking. Thousands of presses later my buddies in the military weren't any fitter, in fact they got weaker each day because besides the awful exercise regime its is ignorant of muscular recovery, which gets really bad if you only sleep 5 hours a day. Do the same exercises every single day seven days a week and you will get weaker because the body cannot repair the ever increasing amount of damage. Thats why special forces training is so different because things are real there. (They have PT days in the gym) But for those who think presses are so great, just do them and report back in a year and tell me who your physical fitness has increased. Then, for comparison, do it my way. Anyway...

People always forget its very easy to get bacterial and viral infections through the eyes, more so than through mouth or nose, if the virus is airborne due to sneeze and you get it in your eyes the virus has instantly access to a network of blood vessels. Anyway, even though this whole Ebola thing doesn't really make me sleep uneasy its never a bad idea to have food for several months stored at home, thats actually an official suggestion of my government. IF something really bad happens the last thing you want to do is go to the mall and join the panicking hordes.

Lets wait and see, the last couple films of Clint Eastwood where good -quality wise- but they were unsatisfying pointless dramas, I hope this film will be different.

I've been a very healthy semi-professional athlete for 11 years now, I might not have a personal training certification but my credibility lies in my success in that area. Anyway:

A lot of fitness advice sounds strange to the unexperienced, and honestly, I couldn't care less if you don't like my advice. When it comes to sports I only care about the opinion and critics of those who are experienced athletes themselves.

Today I conquered ''mount skyward'', it consists of 25 kilometers of slopes of varying steepness that lead to the mother of all inclines, its five kilometers long and so steep my bicycles front wheel gets air each strong pedal stroke. Of course I got a painful butt/lower back cramp which is typical for this cycling route. Anyway, the decline is just as steep, and today I got massive tailwind, I think I broke my speed record, unfortunately I didn't have the odometer installed but it felt like well beyond 100 kmh, maybe 115. It was fun, but I feel like I have burned an astonishing amount of calories, I'm completely depleted.

I'm going to climb some really brutal hills with my bicycle because strength is nothing without control endurance.

Normal push ups do nothing, you're not supposed to do them at all. if you are really concerned about your wrist health and you want to do push-ups do them on closed fists, that way you don't bend your wrists to hell. With push ups you only push like 65% of your own body weight which is nothing, the only push-ups worth doing are those where someone is sitting on your upper back, its the poor mans bench press and a very good exercise if you there is no training equipment available. (I hate fixed weight dumbbells though, useless crap.)

American Sniper, directed by Clint Eastwood, starring Bradley Cooper, a film about the very successful sharpshooter Chris Kyle who was killed in tragic circumstances in 2013. I wonder how authentic it will be.

Ah! Now I remember! But I'm not a total bastard, I'll spare a few plants so I can harvest some seeds next year. Also the roots taste even better after winter.
-
Screaming? It tried to strangle me with its tentacles roots! Parsnip hunting is not for the faint of heart.
-
Harvested my first parsnip this year, thanks to the perfect weather they've grown big, the root is as big as my head.

My sister has been to America a year ago and the breakfast was her main complain. And I thought the food in Iceland was bad, but it seems US food in general is a whole 'nother level of awfulness.

My project has nothing to do with war, I'm just doing it because its fun.

You bastards! If thats what people think of me I really have to do something to improve my reputation here, lol. Thats what I got today. What is it, junk? No! Its armor-grade steel, two plates, 6mm each, they will withstand multiple hits from 7.62x54r (SVT Dragunov and machine gun round, on the right plate) and handgun rounds wont even dimple it. I still have to coat it with plastic to catch the fragments of the projectiles shattering on the surface and I have to polish and round the edges so I wont stab my axillary vein. Then they go in a plate carrier such as this and ta-da, the biggest area of my body is protected from direct and close range rifle fire, front and back. Why? I don't know. Its always fun to make something cool and unusual.

I like it hard, lol. The mattress of my bed is one point under granite on the Rockwell hardness scale and my chairs need to be really hard too. Softness promotes bad posture and it simply does not feel stable enough for me.
