  1. To make these photos I walk around in moonless nights in near perfect dark carrying a camera and tripod. And that way past midnight. My neighbors probably think I'm a drunk or a complete lunatic.
  2. Ah, I guess that little gadget is totally worth it then if you're one of those who need motivation in form of competition.
  3. Today I witnessed a pretty epic battle between light and darkness in the heavens.
  4. Not dissing your recent purchase in any way but is knowing your heart rate at the press of a button really worth 150 bucks? I can do that manually. And while sleep tracking sounds kinda nice I usually know how much I sleep without using any devices monitoring me because my daily sleep schedule is extremely consistent - 7 hours +/- 30 minutes. And last but not least calories, there is a pretty accurate online calculator (which I never use because the amount of calories I burn during my cycling stints is not of interest to me) Like I said, no offense, just some thoughts off the top of my head, I'm sure its a nice gadget but I'm having a hard time trying to evaluate its practical usefulness.
  5. I'm scared. And it takes a lot of craziness to scare me.
  6. Working on my single arm dumbbell shoulder presses without leg drive or excessive leaning, one of the hardest exercises since you need a lot of core to keep your body straight and the weight is so far away from your center. Working my way up to the 50kg / 133lbs mark. Currently I'm only doing about 47kg / 103lbs for a couple reps.
  7. Happened to me a couple of times, one time I almost chocked on a piece. Today I bought a lifting belt. I won't get lazy and rely on it all the times, in fact I'm planning to only use it after having finished a couple of one-rep max weight overhead presses or dead lifts and my core starts to tire before having finished the lifting session. And maaaaaaybe I'll use it to wring out another couple of kilograms when doing the big lifts.

  9. Preparing everything for the race in three hours. French tricolor flying from my window: check (My ignorant neighbors probably think I'm a French colony now. But who cares) Paid Eurosport Live Stream up and running: check Nissan onboard Live Stream: check WEC leaderboard Live Stream: check Cold beer: check Lots of rest so I can stay up for 24 hours without rest: check LMP-1 race car model in my hands: check Cozy chair with extra pillows: check Backup TV up and running in case my computer bursts into flames: check Now I just need to shower so I can enjoy the race sparkling clean and with 110% comfort level.
  10. Today I sold one of my rifles so I can afford a 35mm f/1.4 manual focus lens, in other words a lens which allows me to do astrophotography, pics of the milky way etc. Costs only 580 bucks. And thats cheap, if I could go full pro I'd need in excess of 1500 bucks. Why are all my hobbies so bloody expensive?
  11. Denmark does not have the Euro.
  12. Today I bought a French Tricolor, a 150x100cm flag. I'm going to put it on a pole in my garden this weekend to celebrate the 24 hour Race in Le Mans. This is my symbolic way of paying respect to the French people for building such a fantastic racetrack which features the biggest motor sport event in the world each year - for 83 years now.
  13. Good luck to your grandpa!
  14. Getting those 1x2x2/3 and 2x2x2/3 bows in the right color was a challenge. I used a lot of these in the underbody diffuser wind tunnels, also white ones on the sidepods of the car and red ones on top of the swan neck rear wing assembly plus top of the rear fenders. Also the 1x10 bows in white used in the rear bodywork and the steering wheel were hard to find too. Yeah, LEGO has made a lot of new round and studless parts of all kinds of shapes and angles so it has become much easier to build less blocky models with smooth shapes and angles. Thats what I always wished for when I was a kid.
  15. Today I received the last shipment of the missing super rare parts for my LEGO race car model. 1500 parts ordered by hand from dozens of sources and now its finally finished, woot! [/nerd]
  16. Hottest day this year so far, 32 Celsius and perfect weather. Went cycling for a couple of hours, made a stop to take a bath in a cool river in the middle of a forest, back home I watched a thunderstorm and then I took a couple of photos from a stunning sunset. Summer rocks.
  17. Your friends can easily avoid this fate by change of job or by surrender to Russians for example. Hey, a Swedish Mauser!
  18. Coming from a country that has one of the highest alcohol consumption rates in the world and living in an area of said country where peoples reputation of beer consumption is legendary even among the other Austrians nothing can scare me anymore. Yesterday I was at a big local festival and the amount of beer consumed there was simply insane. A few friends drank 2 liters of beer per hour the whole night long till they eventually passed out like all the other visitors. And I did my part!
  19. Going to a festival. Looking forward to alcohol-fueled arm wrestling duels, bar fights, breaking stuff and taking pictures of alcohol zombies. In other words all the fun thats left for the average grown up.
  20. The real world does not work like that.
  21. Watching the worlds biggest motor sport event, the 24 hours of Le Mans is going to make me very happy. Happiness inbound in t-minus 8 days....
