  1. Ondra creates Moon Godlike. I don't know if any God can "cause" two different kinds of Godlike.
  2. Wael Godlikes shouldn't even have a face. Or head. Or neck. Instead there should just be this glow, or perhaps some kind of formless miasma, in the middle of which is a single stylized eye. Not an actual eye, but more of a drawing of one. And you might ask, how does a Godlike like this live? How does it breathe? How does it speak? How does it eat? To which Wael would reply: Exactly.
  3. "If Aloth did not sublimate Iselmyr, she still acts as his guardian via the Iselmyr's Watch Talent, granting different bonuses (and changing many lines in his combat voice set!) when he starts taking heavy damage." from http://www.mmorpg.com/pillars-of-eternity/interviews/pillars-of-eternity-ii-deadfire-returning-companions-and-continuing-saves-1000011515 So I guess you're good. Combat barks are one thing. I'm talking about Iselmyr interjecting in regular conversations. And random banter. Of which there will probably be a bit as well.
  4. Why no brig? I figured they'd use that a la PoE 1's dungeon - take prisoners. A Brig is a kind of ship. It's a variation of the Brigantine. And the PC in Assassin's Creed IV already got a Brig, so it'd be nice to have a different kind of ship.
  5. The important question then becomes: What kind of ship? I'm partial to a Frigate, but I guess I wouldn't mind a Galleon either. Actually I'm fine with most anything, just so long as we don't get a Brig.
  6. I don't have my party completely worked out yet. But so far... My Nature Godlike Druid Watcher. Obviously. I don't think you can cut the player character from the party. Edér, my bro. Pallegina, my gal pal. Beyond that, I'm just not sure. I'm leaning towards including Aloth, but only if Iselmyr has a rather pronounced presence. If Iselmyr pipes up frequently, I'll probably keep Aloth in the party. If not, Aloth may very well lose his spot. But to who? I don't know. I want to know more about the new party members before making any decisions. Oh, and, everybody's multiclassing into Druid. Except Edér. He's gonna be a Ranger. With the fluffiest pet.
  7. The only cat I cared about was the zombie kitten. If that one carries over to PoE 2, I'll have all the cats I need.
  8. I'm still kind of annoyed I couldn't answer that guy with "I'm a Godlike. What do you think?" I can only assume he was blind.
  9. We do have a system for making online purchases with our debit cards, yes. And while that works for Steam or PayPal, it don't work for Fig.
  10. Of course I've got a debit card. A Dutch debit card. Which is of no use when Fig (and Kickstarter for that matter) asks specifically for a credit card. In the US debit cards also function like regular credit cards. There are MasterCard and VISA debit cards that have 16 digit numbers accepted wherever VISA and MasterCard are accepted. Oh, I see. Doesn't work that way over here. Debit and credit cards are very definitely two entirely different things.

  12. Early on the documentary, Josh mentions that the money was coming in so quickly Obsidian just had to kind of make up stretch goals on the fly and, perhaps, didn't think them all through as well as they should have. I wonder if the stretch goals for Deadfire have already been planned in advance. Eh. Probably.
  13. Need a credit card. Don't have a credit card. Guess that's it then. Until something like a PayPal option materializes.
  14. Neither do I. You can do it with a debit card (if you have a bank account you should have one, normally) or a pre-paid card too. I hope so. Otherwise I'll just have to support the game by, well, buying it on release.
  15. Not the first time we've seen the word "Hel": https://books.google.co.il/books?id=0F1qCAAAQBAJ&printsec=frontcover#v=onepage&q=hel&f=false The Broken Stone War? Let's see... was that the one where the Glanfathans committed atrocities on the Dyrwoodans or the one where the Dyrwoodans committed atrocities on the Glanfathans? Well, either way, seems like the quote might not belong to Eothas after all.
  16. "The fires of Hel"? But Helheim is a very cold place, and Hel has never been a particularly warm woman either. Maybe it means something different in PoE lore.
  17. Someone from Old Vailia musing on a 'future that befits their past'? Babylon 5 has taught me such hopes never turn out quite the way you want them to.
  18. That's what I thought. That was my first thought too. Unfortunately, October is too far away for a release date. Then again, tomorrow is too far away for a release date.
  19. The latest teaser images suggest that the game's gonna take place in and around Vailia and the Deadfire Archipelago. Vailia consists of the new Vailian merchant republics and the imperial remnants of Old Vailia. The Deadfire Archipelago are a bunch of pirate infested islands, but PoE's character creator included Naasitaq in its description of Deadfire. Point is, there are a lot of different cultures around. So if we do get our own little island Kingdom Stronghold, I'd like to be able to build buildings that reflect the different cultural styles of the area. Because making the Stronghold look pretty is far more important than having it be functional.
  20. Where do these names come from? Kanonn and Feesh sound like Cannon and Fish, which were depicted yesterday. Astera no doubt has something to do with today's stars. And Scalia... well, he was a Judge on the US Supreme Court and Scales are usually used to symbolize the Law or Justice. Also, it probably sounds more appropriately Vailian than Ruth Astera.
  21. Three characters, and then moving over to factions? Possible, but I personally doubt it. More likely they started with three people we already knew so everybody had the chance to figure out what was going on and get used to it and they're now introducing new characters to get the speculation going.
  22. I want Sagani back as well. I also wouldn't mind seeing the return of Hiravias, Kana Rua, the Devil of Caroc and Maneha. Durance can go die in a fire, though. Oh wait, he does.
  23. If I had to guess, I'd say Pillars 2 will still have to deal with Gods. Because now the world probably knows they're all created (I doubt 2 is going with the "Join up with Woedica and cover everything up" ending) and that's probably going to lead to some kind of social upheaval that you'll get stuck in the middle of.
  24. I'd like a Pillars 2 as much as the next fan, just... not quite yet. After Pillars and, hopefully, the upcoming Tyranny, I'm kind of OK on Obsidian fantasy history RPGs. I'd like their next big project to be an Obsidian any other genre RPG. Well, except maybe rom-com. I don't think I trust Obsidian to deliver a good rom-com RPG.
  25. The last backer update. Feels like the end of an era, but it's only been, what, a couple of years? Strange. But anyway, what I really want to know is, why do a survey now? It seems a bit... late. I imagine most people have been more or less done with Pillars of Eternity for a while now.
