  1. What? No, everything on Breitbart is true. Silly libtard.
  2. I bought two loot pinatas and got lucky. Got a Saints Row game I didn't have yet and Alien vs. Predator. I'm still tempted but I probably should quit while I'm ahead of the curve. Most random games I got from GoG one way or the other were indie adventures.
  3. Truer words have never been spoken. Though to be fair, I do pay 30% income tax and a 25% VAT... We pay 18% of our income for what's called social insurance - a package consisting of healthcare, retirement funds and unemployment pay.
  4. Things sometimes really hide in plain sight. I've been looking for my XBox 360 controller for a while now. I looked everywhere. Really. Or, uhm, almost everywhere anyway. It was not to be found. For the past two days I thought I might have lent it to a friend who hasn't brought it back yet. Then I rifled through the entire flat again. Every closet, every cupboard. It's been sitting right next to me. Literally. There's a little space between my desk and the wall. The computer desk has a small board attatched to it where my flatbed scanner resides - a thing I haven't used in ages now. Stupid piece of manure is idling on the scanner. I probably put it there while cleaning the desk and forgot about it. It's sitting there and I swear it is mocking me. You get what you pay for, right? Right?
  5. Oh, yeah. Bioware messed up the beginning of Inquisition. The game gets more interesting and better paced once the prologue is over but that can take everything from 2 hours to 40 depending on how much elfroot you compulsively pick up in the Hinterlands. Hence the tip. Heh. No clue about Shadow Warrior though but for co-op shootering business I can recommend Serious Sam if you haven't gotten it already.
  6. You can even make sure it gets made and support it on Fig! If you weren't done with crowdfunding, that is. ^^
  7. Inquisition is more polished game of the two and it does everything better than Andromeda, and if you enjoy Thedas lore it's a treasure trove of new things and information (for the record I also enjoyed The Silmarillion more than Lord of the Rings for exactly the same reason). With Solas and Cole Bioware managed to create two rather interesting NPCs in Inquisition while those in Andromeda are all fairly bland. On the other hand Inquisition also has some terrible NPCs (even by Bioware annoyment gold standard Aerie - yeah looking at you Sera) and let's not forget, all the women have male skeletons, skulls and faces. It's a veritable ****** paradise. Cuz social justice. /luzi No seriously, if you want to pick up only one of them and you don't have a strong hankering for sci-fi pick Inquisition and for the love of god do not stay in the Hinterlands until you've done every quest there. You'll go mad. I..., I... sometimes I still hear the voices. *sob* I...
  8. Yeah, LF doesn't exactly know that Arya is essentially a fully trained member of the Faceless Men but she has the valyrian steel dagger and she held off Brienne in a fight. Assuming Sansa told him that she wanted to start beheading people left and right that should be enough to know playing her is a bad idea. Eh, but why am I complaining, I hope it proves to be a very bad idea for him. About the Freys, yep, at least Cersei or Jaime should have mentioned losing an allied house, even if they were of questionable worth. Someone must rule the Riverlands now, no? Hmmm.
  9. Warning, Chuck Norris joke ahead: Your fault for clicking on the spoiler.
  10. Nothing's wrong with that picture. We all know Stanley Kubrick directed the moon landing...
  11. Man can believe the impossible, but man can never believe the improbable. -- Oscar Wilde Breaking suspension of disbelief or having a really cool scene is a fine line sometimes, and it's not at the same point for everyone. The episode was pretty neat, except for the usual teleporting. I always thought, in the books more than in the show though, that Dany has more than a few loose screws. Burning extremely valuable hostages alive just seems to confirm that. What I really didn't like was Dany looking like she's getting her knickers in a bunch over Jon. Eh, and what the hell is Littlefinger's plan? Granted there might be some value to create strife between Sansa and Arya but Arya is a murdering psychopath with the ability to shapeshift. If he wants to rule through Sansa that seems to be a bad, bad idea.
  12. Also, cheese Mindread. If you find a scroll, which isn't that hard, just save before using it on an NPC, then write down all keywords and reload. One Mindread fits all.
  13. Let me guess, you ignored a certain Mage? *duck*
  14. It's not about realism in the show vs. real life but about realism in terms of internal consistency, and that's been lacking this season, due to a number of factors.
  15. That's luckily cleared up, the latency is awesome - on top of that, they fixed the biggest issue since then - you can buy skill gems now! :D and the flicker strike glass cannon is still a viable build.. Time to patch... Had some time to look at Path of Exile today and right at the beginning Deckard Cain walked up to me and said "Much has changed since you lived here my friend." Damn.
  16. Is that a rhetoric question? Because the "we have to stand together or all is lost" symbolism was a bit on the nose and all. *shrug* I wonder what would have happened if the humans in those cave painting knew that the CotF created the White Wankers in the first place.
  17. Physics work in Westeros pretty much like they do here. In the books as well as in the show, so there's that. There's no way Arya can block a blow from Brienne with a regular sword - let alone with Needle, in the same way you couldn't actively block a car running you over. But that's a fairly common problem in movies and shows. There's often a 45 kilogram tiny woman dual wielding Desert Eagles or going toe to toe in a martial arts fight with enemies twice their mass at comparative skill levels and coming out on top. It's not that smaller, more agile fighters wouldn't be able to win, just not in the way shown on screen - unless that's the whole point, like Bronn vs. Ser Vardis back in Season 1 - although their builds were much more similar than Arya and Brienne, obviously. So Volo is right after a fashion. Arya's still awesome and a badass but Volo can't jump over his shadow and all that...
  18. I don't know if I should be excited to finally see a good Terminator movie at the theatre again or annoyed with the obvious cash grab.
  19. If you watched TOG when originally aired, I'd be impressed. Nah, not that old, sorry. Well maybe in mind and spirit.
  20. You really should check out David Hasselhoff's famous Mediterranean cruises. You even get an autograph and can spend some time with him.
  21. That one I had to google. I'm not really up to speed on English nursery rhymes. Comparing Trump to Kosinksi gave me a chuckle though. Heh.
  22. Wouldn't know about better but amphetamines probably help them write a lot of stuff in a short time. Someone give GRRM some ADHD medication plx. =)
  23. Alias has been a while now but... showing your age for knowing it? What? What am I then for having watched TNG when it originally aired? Ancient?
  24. Mhm, at best Arya would be able to try and stay out of Brienne's reach and attempt to use the environment in her favor in some way. Although Arya is essentially a facechanging/shapeshifting magic ninja at this point, which does make it less bothersome than Dany flying straight at a scorpion after a near miss. *shrug*
