  1. Very detailed and informative, thank you.
  2. Oooooooh, now I get it. So being behind a glass pane, a blind person would never be able to use the braille. Which reminds me, why do they have braille on drive-up ATM machines?
  3. Thanks for the good info everyone. @DN: I just prefer prebuilt because its easier, and all my previous Dell purchases have been trouble free and long lasting machines.
  4. ^Good to know, thanks. I always subsribe to the theory that bigger is better so I wouldnt have had any idea the "lower" processer was the better choice. While the GT220 was the lowest choice available on the selection screen, I thought the 1GB of memory was good. Dunno if I can swing the increase in cost for the GTX260.
  5. He's a shining example of how to lead a more manly, meaningful life. A fine example of art imitating life.
  6. So I was eyeing a new Dell XPS 9000 (below) and a question arose. They offer 6GB "Tri-Channel" RAM or 8GB "Dual-Channel" for around the same price. Which is better? Also, if you see any weakness in the build, let me know, Im particularly eyeing that GT220. Is that a good video card? Studio XPS 9000: Intel
  7. I agree, the pendulum always swings back, but I think this time is more than a temporary blip. The mass exodus of citizens that GD describes in NY (I didnt know it was happening in CA too) is much harder to overcome. Less people and business = less tax revenue. So, without adjusting state budgets accordingly (hahahahahahaha), the situation rapidly spirals out of control. Its much harder to lure resident and business back once they have pulled out, it virtually requires a rethinking of their whole system.
  8. Congrats! This is number 2, right? Any idea about the sex of the baby yet?
  9. I dont think its a bug or oversight, they even went so far as to park your chest and a merchant right outside the door. Most likely a second DLC, which is fine, but I cant imagine what plot device would require the PC to be locked out right now. Is there any in-game explanation at all?
  10. So they purposely made extra work for themselves because the felt nobody would ever want to reenter the Keep they just bought and quested through? C'mon.
  11. Yes, we got it Monte, if its cheaper than Starbucks its all good. Im more interested in the motivation behind it. The keeps interior is done, you quest in it after all, why arbitrarily lock it after that? Why not just leave the door open so peole can wander arond and feel like they now "own" it?

Ah crap, I forgot to set up a series recording. Anything good happen in episode 2?
  13. O_o What?
  14. Well, sure, but you dont actually have a keep.
  15. The fact that you cant ever re-enter it after completion is really odd to me. So you pay for a short questline and a storage box just outside your tower? What was the point of locking players out?
  16. Im not sure Di and I dont want to give you bum info, but Im almost certain you have to register AND create an account on the social site to get the free goods.
  17. Unfortunately, I think youre stuck waiting.
  18. Whats the last block say, its too small for me to read.
  19. Are there any recent rpg's (year 2000 -) that actually did this with little input from the user? I can't seem to recall. IIRC, NWN II's NPC's had the ability but it was severly skewed in the opposite direction, they would chug potions like sailors on liberty. I remember having to turn AI off because of that.
  20. You can follow this workaround until they fix it officially, although I have read you still lose your Memory Band. EDIT: Another thread here with the same info but the addition of a dev confirming the bug.
  21. I was pretty shocked to read that you cant reenter your Wardens Keep after completing the quest. Your merchant and chest are literally outside the building.
  22. ^From my readings of threads, its kinda borked. You have to do some jiggling like deselect the DLC, save, exit the game and reenter without the DLC active, then reactivate the DLC. Then it should work.
  23. Does that being past tense mean you already beat the game once? If so, what is your overall impression? Holy crap! Thats go make a sammich and let the dog out amount of time. While the loading times are long, are they also frequent?
  24. Thats very Dr. Seuss of you.
