  1. So obviously the motivation is the bottom line, but does anyone know what that number is? I think Ive seen it mentioned that Steam gets .30 cent on the dollar. What is Epic cut? Is it so overwhelming as to mitigate the lost sales over the course of a year? Will anyone be interested in a year old game?
  2. Uh oh, now we have to deconstruct our entire educational system. It is riddled with "history is written by the victor". How mush do we pump in annually to that circus? Ive reached the point in my life where the government jacking something up "only a little bit" is a win for me.
  3. Eh, Im never going to be one to cry into my beer over the sins of our forefathers. I just don't care beyond a historical perspective so I might as well try to find some interesing value in the discussion. Does the article mention if the pictured "Southern Belle" also doubles as the grounds keeper? There could be some savings there.
  4. So about 4M / year on average. Spread out over how many monuments? I honestly cannot believe that our government can accomplish anything that economically!
  5. I wonder if any company will really ever recoup the "lost sales" of people waiting a year to buy their product. By then it can be forgotten about or purchased at a steep discount, which would offset the "second wave" of buyers?
  6. Ruh roh...(ToW) Epic Games Store Exclusive?
  7. This is my social media. Its probably just a generational thing though, no? Did our grandparents rue telephones in every house I wonder? What happens when we can link minds in a few generations?
  8. My poorly communicated point was, how would you even "keep harmful content off their platforms" sans literally banning live stream videos. They recognize that the providers reacted quickly and earnestly but what else is there?
  9. 'Fake News' Bill Signed Into Law in Russia. We need something like this pronto!
  10. Whoops, I meant AOC, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
  11. Seems youre right: Does a .223 round tumble on impact or does it begin to tumble in its trajectory?
  12. Sounds like it comes from the OSC "just pay for it" school of thought. Lets see where this goes.
  13. Imprisonment and blacklisting are the only path foward.
  14. Actually, I believe the .223 is considered an "unhumane" round because it tumbles on impact, which creates a much larger wound channel.
  15. We should follow the Chinese example and just start building cities for nobody. It will keep us busy and they will eventually fill up.
  16. No mercy. And if they have already joined the workforce they should immediately be fired and blacklisted from their chosen profession for life. People wont learn a lesson unless we treat every molehill like a mountain.
  17. And some didnt even know their parents were pulling strings. College admissions scandal: What did the students know about 'the side door,' and what should happen next? But ignorance is no excuse and this much buttock hurt requires blood sacrifice. Someone has to make. them. pay.
  18. Students tied to U.S. college admissions scandal could face expulsion. Not far enough, NOT BY A COUNTRY MILE!1111 The parents should be imprisoned, and after they die, the kids should be forced to finish their sentences! Especially in light of the way that poor rowing team had to endure an 0-52 collegiate record. No doubt scaring them for life. Squee!
  19. New Zealand wants answers from Mark Zuckerberg over mosque attack video. "Squee squee! Ban all video!"
  20. Have you tried a finer grit? Higher number = finer. Generally speaking, I will use a heavier grit to knock off the big mass (years of paint layers) and then switch to a finer grit for the nooks and crannies. A sander with a pointy tip is also a godsend but you can make due with what you have. Baseboard is available in pretty inexpensive particle board so you don't have to spring for wood. Though, in doing these improvements are you kinda intending to rent-to-own? In that case you might not want to go cheap on the baseboards as youre going to be looking at them for the next 30 years.
  21. We lost power for a few hours sometime last year and I was never more bored in recent memory. The silence was deafening. And darkness is pitch black when you don't even have the light of a router or alarm clock. I couldn't even pew pew on my phone because I didn't know when power would come back on and I felt like I had to preserve my battery.
  22. But we just got to the predictable final act where they are left with no other option than to complain about moderating. My bad, Ill play nice.
  23. DNA match leads to arrest in 1999 Alabama slaying, rape case.
  24. Resorting to; "nener nener whatever you say bounces off me and sticks on you". Now Im a little saddened by your lack of imagination. No more callbacks to previous unrelated topics? No more referencing this topic in other topics? I guess you shot your shot.
