I'd say "garbage" and "mediocre" is worlds apart. As for DICE, as far as I know, they treated their employees quite well and supported their games for a fairly long time, which would elevate them above "garbage" in itself. To be fair realistic depiction of WW1 would be boring gameplay, sitting for months in own feces in trenches shooting into darknes slowly getting consumed by some disease from decaying corpses around...

It's a rarity among rpg's, it has a strange advantage over other rpg's as you can either play it as a casual game, not caring - or you can invest all your care into developing your character/characters. Either way just works with Skyrim. I find that Skyrim (and many other Bethesda open world games) to be really good exploration game where you can have fun just wandering the world. Last good one was Morrowing for this simple aspect - hand crafted

I don't think so, I was using internet on high school (old days of first counter strike) as most of my classmates and it was much more... familiar? It was days when you didn't needed ad block, corporations where not all over the place and oversensitive people were still mocked and not in power.
