how does a game coded and optimized for the xbox lag on its successor? wow... i understand its emulating the intel architecture on a ppc platform but the raw power of the 360 should render it able to handle kotor 2 with ease... right?

I don't think people will have complaints with K3's story (OE has an amazing writing team) and I'm sure they will factor in all the various permutations into K3. My only concern is BUGS!

well *theoretically*, he didnt die there (he was cloned) but it would be cool nonetheless. i think the obsidian developers should have had kreia falling down the endless hole on malachor when the platform you are fighting on crumbles (then we can make another reference from the movies! :D)

well the reason they have so many star wars references is because the obsidian developers actually decided to *WATCH* star wars and then watch it all over again and they picked out the lines/scenes that fans of the series appreciated and threw these in kotor 2.

I'd like to see some brand new PC Heads for K1 or TSL. I'm not a fan of reskins or modifications to an already existing head since it just involves changing the eye colour, skin complexion, or hair colour. I think that the series as a whole would be better if you could fully customioze your character's appearance i.e. like in the Sims 2 (when you create a Sim). That way you can be happy with the character you create instead of using Bioware's or Obsidian's pre-designed heads which dont look all that great. I'm not criticising modders here since I'm pretty sure I couldn't do any better but I would like to see some new heads.

Heheh... I wouldn't complain.... I would love to see the <Character Name> Crystal with the Kaiburr, Ankarres Sapphire, Solari (for LS users), and the Hurrikane. Would be great to see the Qixoni for LS users too.. I believe there is a mod to solve that problem but it doesnt really matter to me. I'm quite happy with my saber combo : Silver Crystal or Viridian Crystal Kaiburr Crystal <Character Name> Crystal Utlimate Diatum Energy Cell Ossus Dueling Lens Expert Fencing Emitter

Does anybody know where I can find the Atris texture files because I plan on editing them... I was so disappointed when I saw her for the first time because the textures were horrible so I'm planning on making a new set but I would like the ingame texture file for use as a template. I have KotOR tool and I was exploring the various .bif archives but so far, no luck. Please help

Thanks for the reply and I'm kind of disappointed that there were ONLY 2 groups of Mandalorians. Maybe 4-6 groups in total would be nice. I realize that there won't be Mandalorians on Korriban and Onderon but maybe if they had several groups on Nar Shaddaa and Dantooine as opposed to just one.

When Mandalore joins you on Dxun, he says he is looking for other Mandalorian clans. So far, I have spotted 2 groups of Mandalorians in the game which after talking with them go to Dxun and become part of Mandalore's army. 1) Nar Shaddaa - Docks 2) Dantooine - Jedi Enclave Courtyard (Mercenary Camp) Any other Mandalorians?

Actually several of us have, and you should count yourself lucky you only got it in the ending! I and others got it consistantly throughout the game. At present, there is no way to fix it, but it seems to get more frequent the longer you run the game, so if you encounter it, just exit the game altogether and restart it. Not much else you can do, really except wait for a patch that fixes it. FYI, it was a bug in KotOR 1 that was fixed in the second patch. Strange that Obsidian never bothered to go through the buglists of the previous game to make sure those bugs were not present... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Obsidian used the pre-patch source code since the game was in development even before the first KotOR was released.

I have a 6800 Ultra (256MB) working at 570/1.2 The best one currently on the market (for gaming ofcourse - not things like the Quadro) is the X850 XT Platinum Edition. Ofcourse, I don't know whether its performance justifies its price. I know though that ATi will be unveiling their latest 512MB gaming card in Dallas and the lucky winner in a competition will be taking it home. I'm assuming nVidia is working on something new. Ofcourse, no news from them lately as they are overly secretive about future projects. Ofcourse, if you are looking for an SLI solution (2 graphics card), look no further than the 6800 Ultra PCI-E version. The price will be pretty high and ofcourse, 512MB SLI cards are coming out in the future as previously stated...

Well I do have some problems with fog effects and I have an Asus 6800 Ultra running at 570/1.2... Then again, I run on the highest settings at 1280*1024 so if it slows down for a few seconds, I don't really care too much.

Hmm... I remember having something like this in KotOR 1. When I went do Dantooine, the lightsaber would get all blocky and also on Manaan and Korriban, the footlockers came in 3 different varietes : green, yellow and red. I only had these problems when using Windows 2000 on my FX 5200. When I installed Windows XP PRO w/ SP2, I didn't have the problem anymore. Forgive me if I've twiddled on but that's just my 2 cents

Or you can just be a cheapass like me. Enable cheats and then enter giveitem pl_visa. After that, fire up the save game editor and where it says Cheats Enabled, click No and commit the changes, reload the game and voila.
