  1. My lewd sense of humour thinks it would be funny to be called Solid Snake... Could probably make a great living doing Viagra adds between saving the world
  2. http://eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=58390
  3. The first episode had a viewing audience of 9.3 million. Not unexpected , and only relevent if it's maintained over the season. Ant and Dec (what is on on ITV at the same time) had 7.1 million, which really speaks volumes about the dire state of TV and why I watch cable 99% of the time.
  4. Choices and sequels just dont mix.
  5. Can't say we didnt warn him. I mean did you see how easy it pulled that monkeys leg off.
  6. Well at the moment for all it matters aliens are just funny looking humans. Making them more unique certainly couldnt hurt. Big fan of clone wars. Even more than the prequels.
  7. June ? Is that the time leading up to E3 or some similar event ? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> E3 is in May. Not likely to have anything to show at E3 except NwNII. I was just making a prediction based on what was said in an interview. And only if the game is based on existing technology (which seems likely in view of what Feargus said about making their own RPG).
  8. If you could be named after a video game character which name would you choose?
  9. This subject needs a thread of it's own.
  10. Without the pressure from the Dday landing Russia would have been the test subject of the first atomic bomb. The elements did far more damage to the german war machine than the russians ever did. Hitler should have learned his lessons from Napoleon.
  11. Very true. If you could be named after a video game character which one would you choose? Btw there are 1000's of Marios and Luigis running around
  12. My father is named after his father. But he's always used his first middle name as a his first name and dropped the "title" thankfully he didnt do the same to me. Both of mine have our parents names as middlenames (which sounds really weird but as it's not something they will have to write often its not a big deal). Both my father and I have a ton of middle names. honouring various ancestors. initialised the full name comes out something like H T J G N N M
  13. Oh yes one of the few FPS games I bothered going online for. Fun for the weekend. not much cop single player though. Me either. I dont know how "hands on" it is. Hands on seems to work better with smaller groups/less options because your too busy to really see the big picture. Where as in KOTOR a couple of clicks and you can sit back and watch the show. One reason I'm interested in seeing how JE turns out.
  14. If it's anything like the last time. Peace spelled that way would be closer to the truth... Still I expect we will stick with the FF theme. Tiffa or Aeris perhaps..
  15. That isnt what Yoda meant though. He meant the difference between an Xwing and a rock. Luke could easily move a rock and even R2. But he couldnt move the Xwing because it was "too big".Remember "Only different in your mind" Yoda said that the size of the object dosnt matter so why cant Yoda move planets around? Thats another thing. the Pylon is lighter than an Xwing. Do you think yoda is telling porkies?
  16. Might need a name for a third child sometime. Somehow I dont think the wife would be happy if it was done via a poll.
  17. They are protecting the world from the darkside of the force
  18. while Jedism might sound funny. It's not different to how any other religion started. Even the most popular religions are a mere speck of human history.
  19. Mine is a scaled up version of Ashe<------ with icons over the top.
  20. I call it molelobster, because the mole bit comes first. Mandalorian recruiting poster courtesy of Gorth (I just added the text).
  21. Well they are more interesting than Bob or Lisa. Naming conventions change over time anyway. In the future as more people who grew up with gaming have children you will see more children named after game characters. Only a few people have actually got the FF connection. Although Yuki's family got it right away. But then her brother works for Sqenix so that was inevitable.
  22. That really depends on whether or not everyone can use magic. It's like in the FR to be a mage takes years of training. To use a lantan device requires flipping a switch. Unless you have an entire populous of mages and magic is inherent , then technology will always be a factor because there will always be more non mages than mages. And the fact there are so few mages overall will mean that mass produced magic devices wont be possible. In many ways it makes a world with static tech that much more unrealistic than one that mixes both.
  23. I dont know how anyone managed to finish the game with ranged weapons in KOTOR , the party would end up half killing themselves shooting at Jedi. It's alieved somewhat by the feats in KOTOR II. Still switched back to saber for the final two.
