  1. Already bought EP III on the DS so it's a bit of a moot question for me. Although I will say it had more to do with a lack of DS titles at the time and more loathing of platform games, than any great desire to own it. It's still not a bad game though.
  2. Purely accidental I assure you :D
  3. Yes because they have to award it to something. Game of the year depends on what else was out that year. If the competition is minimal then any big name title can get it. Before you can laud something for being game of the year you have to look at what other games were released that year too , in order to get a full picture.
  4. Thats probably why those games are much lower down on my list than everyone eleses , at least by that criteria.
  5. I think that speaks of lack of competition rather than quality. Obsidian didnt get off to the best of starts with KOTORII. KOTOR II is very much about seeing the potential. On the other hand JE had a lot of development time and the result was rather blerggg. KOTOR lowered the bar to a 40 hour playtime, do we really want to see 20 hours as the average RPG length? Personally I'd place ShadowHearts II above all three of them. While I cant say I'm interested in NwNII, just not going to upgrade my PC for a couple of titles. I am interested in how Obsidian pull it off and especially if they manage to capture some of KOTORII's.
  6. If your mixing up story with script then it's easy to see where your not getting it.
  7. No, do enlighten me. I dont know about you, but a 20 hour RPG with a see through story and a combat system that would insult the intelligence of a chimp does not make me a happy camper. I personally dont want Bioware and their obvious storytelling anywhere near KOTORIII. And the less I see Revan the better.
  8. Yes as long as your not one of those people who likes graphics over substance. It may kind of bum you out about recent PC RPGs though.
  9. No just seriously overhyped ones :D I could write an essay on what was wrong with Bioware games from NwN to now. But it's wasted on fanboys. Like the matrix you will have to get out on your own
  10. I've outgrown them.
  11. Good game but had a seriously bad or flawed ending. Once you get to the organic part it goes downhill , but the ship was excellent.
  12. classic. I'd say Palpatine was more evil. Because the whole bringing peace and order to the Galaxy was more of a front than his purpose. He got caught before he was ready and was in danger of turning into a crispy critter so not so good at hiding, rather his position made him difficult to remove as a non jedi isnt really going to buy, or even understand the whole dark lord thing. With Kreia on the other hand what you saw was what you got. A lot of things she said made sense and if she was correct there was almost a nobility in her actions. Destroying a god and the world that goes along with it is no mean feat (anyone who's played the ShadowHeart series will understand what I mean). In some ways she reminds me of Albert Simons. I dont think she ever tried to hide anything from you and she certainly succeeded in fooling everyone else so shes batting 100 there.
  13. Thats not cheating per se, it could be explained away as her connection to the planet boosting her power. Plus you wont find that out without cheating yourself which means it has no actual impact on the credibility of the battle. Where as Malak is obviously cheating. You hit him and when he's in danger of dying he becomes immortal which just kills the credibility of the game dead. Cant saber him in the back as he runs for the tanks because he can only be hurt when the designers want him hurt. I agree mainly because I didnt have a power that could bust the tanks, although standing around the corner and smacking him each time he came around did the trick even if it lacked movie style.
  14. Only because he cheats his arse off.
  15. Looks very much like a classic 50's raygun.
  16. The best one is still. "You sir reek of the troll side of the force". dont remember who said it though.
  17. that has to be one of the funniest things I've read.
  18. No I had quite enough of being a ghost in Jade Empire thanks.
  19. You can get guass rifle early on, but you wont have much in the way of ammo till practically the end of the game. The upgraded turbo plasma was always my weapon of choice. Although not quite in the Crusader league it's just fun to melt stuff.
  20. So your basically recycling other peoples opinions rather than having one of your own.
  21. You havnt watch EP III ?
  22. Students have an ideolistic outlook which is not tempered by life experiencce. Of course their opinions are not going to carry much weight with people who have both the education and the life experience. Often as not peoples idealistic views do not survive the realities outside the classroom. Of course :D Speaking for myself my idealist liberal days ended when I actually had to face up and handle some responsibilities in the real world, rather than goof around in the class room. The more responsibility acrued, business, family and now children, the more conservative my outlook becomes in general.
  23. Well the whole NOOOOOOOO!! thing is totally out place. The reason the other actors are doing a better job is because the lines are placed more appropriately. Script is just as important as acting ability. Many great actors have had awful performances because of poor script writing.
  24. Hardly, they will make it adequate.
  25. I'd ask for a refund
