  1. I agree with all your points. The aggro management is still perfectible but it is a step in the right direction, and like you I like the fact that a few monsters can teleport out of engagement in order to attack those you are hiding behind the tank. It is a very welcome addition in order to force players out their comfort zone. It adds a nice "expect the unexpected" feeling to these fights against shades and phantoms.
  2. @Answermancer: Exactly, everyone is blowing this absolutely out of proportion. The truth is that the "scandal" has been hijacked by both sides. They are both using this and the people involved as a simple mean, mere tools, to fuel their own wars and interests. It is all just a excuse in order for both sides to go at each other's throat. Obsidian, we the backers, the people who love this games are all collateral damage in their stupid war and they don't give a damn about us.
  3. How this is still a thing after we've heard the second half of the story from Firedorn himself? All this ****storm was based on truncated facts. Now we have the whole story and yet people still haven't changed thier tune? Even better now they are turning against Firedorn... Can't people just admit that they made a mistake instead of looking for more fallacious reasons to be mad at Obisidian?
  4. You know how PR works... it generally make things worse when the truth isn't as bad as it seems. Sometimes not bothering about "What will people think if I say this? ... and what if I say that instead?" can make everything go smoother. Obsidian isn't perfect, but that doesn't make them terrible people either.
  5. The people at Obsidian are not complete fools you know... if they really had the intention to remove Firedorn's first limerick in order to please the wackos who called them out on transgender phobia on Twitter they wouldn't have allowed him to write a new one that makes explicitly fun of their pathetic intimidation attempt.
  6. You should really read Firedorn's posts on the forum, he clearly says the opposite. But you seem to want to call him a liar now... just like they called him a transgender hater on Twitter.
  7. That's what I've been saying from the start. Obsidian did not "cave under the pressure", they gave Firedorn all the freedom he wanted to handle that so called crisis.
  8. Actually, there was a choice. They asked me if I wanted to change in light of what happened. I chose to change it so that they can concentrate on the game instead of this PR nightmare. They weren't going to change it, they asked ME if I wanted to. I can find another platform to write my controversial crap, and I will. They, on the other hand, did the right thing and allowed me to decide the fate of the epitaph. I chose to turn into something that made fun of the bitch-bastards that were complaining. They went above and beyond what I would have expected them to do. Now that we've got the real facts from Firedorn himself can we move on? Sadly that only makes it appear less likely that Obsidian had a standard they wanted to uphold and more likely that it was changed because of the ****storm. So the author says that he is happy with the way Obisidian handled the complaints, that they went beyond his expectations and you're still blaming them? Hell, I've seen countless posts stating that Obisidian didn't care at all for its backers using Firedorn as their #shield to justify their ranting. Firedorn just proved them all wrong.
  9. Read THIS. Actually, there was a choice. They asked me if I wanted to change in light of what happened. 10. I stand corrected revjwh, this is not the second but the THIRD (and maybe more yet to discover?) thread you open to voice the exact same thing. Here's the first. Here's the second. And now we are posting on the third...
  11. Not troll bait at all. It's an opinion and presented with sarcasm. It's shared by others b/c I'm in discussion with them. You don't agree but that doesn't mean it's troll bait - although in this thread I hope you realize: you are the troll. Why can't you just admit what you are doing? Your op is an obvious provocation. The way you present your opinion IS a form of trolling don't pretend it is not, this is highly hypocritical of you. If you want people to take you seriously you don't open a thread on such a condescending tone. Now on the meat of your "opinion", do you realize that these "nerf" happened because players and beta testers asked for them? If I listen to my left I hear people complaining that the game is too easy, if I listen to my right I hear it is way too hard... So the devs should change the game mechanics just because YOU think you know better than everyone else? And on top of that this is the second thread you open on the EXACT SAME topic. The previous one is still active, you are just flooding the forum with your "opinion".
  12. People should really stop paying attention to what is said on Twitter. Twitter is just a huge ****storm generator.
  13. On the other hand changing a few lines of text is much easier and quicker than spotting an error in thousands of lines of code.
  14. It is a good testament to the sillyness and apparently they [Those that complained] are now rather upset about the rewritten joke. Have to wait and see if they try to have it removed as well. The thought they had won, the joke is on them now. I don't think Obsidian will remove the new poem.
  15. Yeah that's exactly the same thing, Obisidian is no better than the nazis and the soviet union... That comparison is completly out of proportion.
  16. Am I really the only one here who got the meaning of the new poem? People should have a second look at it: It clearly states that the original poem was just a joke and shouldn't be taken seriously, and "They asked for blood" is refering to those who asked for its removal and it can't be taken as compliment (if I were "they" I wouldn't take it as one anyway). So all in all it seems rather obvious to me that the new poem means: "your failure to understand an inconsequential joke resulted in stupid censorship, well done you hysterical crowd".
  17. Maybe I missed something but if the original content has been replaced by this, then this is not censoship at all you people need to read it again. In fact it is more a joke on those who asked for the "offensive" content to be removed. The way I see it the new poem means: "some hysterical people violently asked for a poem wrote as a simple jest to be removed, now because of them the poet is dead".
  18. I confirm that, my Edér have around 100 health over what he should. No big deal for my part, but I guess other may be less lucky... Is it only the retroactive part of the fix that isn't working or can you still increase Eder's health infinitely by saving and reloading on Gilded Vale's map?
  19. Cheer up, freedom doesn't walk the easy road.
  20. What does that mean, Steam doesn't test patches before releasing them?
  21. A lot of games are a little big bugged and I think many people agree it is acceptable. All I am trying to get across is that Obsidian released not bugged but a broken game. And it's wrong that's all. Side issue: If you are a casual player that played the game on normal or even easy you are not impacted by these bugs. You almost never load because you don't die in clashes. You will not notice missing or abnormal stats because you don't care anyway so you don't even check character stats in details. You don't need it becouse you just fly through the game regardless of stats. This explains why there are so many good reviews and people don't understand what is the whole fuss about. Problem begins on hard or path of the damned when every detail is important. Given how many people aready beat the game I wouldn't call it broken, that's an utter exaggeration. And the fixes are coming today (or tomorrow), ie only a week after the release. I can think of quite a number of AAA games that get trully fixed only after a month or two. And what is the last part supposed to mean? If you are the experienced gamer you claim to be then you should know what to expect and be a little more patient. And if the more casual gamers are not bothered with the glitches I'd say it is good news, because they are supposed to be the ones to ditch games and jump to another on the first occasion...
  22. I only have one complaint about them: too many Death Godlikes. It's like they all thought "I'd make one because it's totally badass"... well guess what dude, they all had the same idea. But that's a minor issue, I like the overall concept.
  23. @BugsVendor: Well you can fight against the whole game industry in that case. Yes theoretically games should be 100% functional out of the box, but that's the ideal world. And no GTA V is not that complex. It doesn't have to juggle with char stats, item stats, complicated combat formulas, quest interweaving etc...
  24. One need not excuse major bugs at launch in order to appreciate the masterpiece which a game may have eventually become. From an economic standtpoint, it's more important than ever to avoid declaring a game with major bugs "done", given today's Steam-driven (har har) PC gaming environment. Launching significantly flawed products only reinforces the already-problematic mantra of "wait for the Steam sale". So you would have never bought a Baldur's Gate, an Elder Scroll or a Fallout?
